Man, I never tire of classic Maiden. Harris, Murray and Smith: One of the best threesomes ever. This song shows they can still kick ass without vocals.
loved the fact that they used this song to warm up the public during the 2007-2008 world tour. everyone in the crowd was singing along jumping around, then the churchill intro .. then aces high .. fireworks .. huge burst of energy went through the 50,000 people crowd.
i love this song. One thing i hate though is when you see magazines and stuff naming the best guitarists ever or top 100 guitarist of all time, you never see Dave Murry, Adrian Smith, or Janick Gers on any of them. i think these guys are some of the best guitarist ever and should be recognized more. UP THE IRONS!
I remember playing Nintendo as a little kid, playing the video game Transylvania (where you go to kill Dracula, the Grim Reaper and Frankenstein), my dad would be jamming to Maiden.... It was awesome being a kid. This reminds me of that ....

I'd have killed to be around in Maiden's early years. People who were there find it hard to put into words how it felt. I don't think there are any bands around today who have 'it' like maiden did, & still make a damned good effort to keep it today
Maiden really needs to start playing this at Live shows. Seriously they haven't played this gem since 1993, and it's a shame seeing how it is easily my favourite maiden song
Having heard much about them in the music press I first saw Maiden support Judas Priest at Hammersmith Odeon back in (I think early'81, I remember that it was the first time I'd seen the place full for the support act. - What a night it was ! - a metal double bill to rival anything then or since.
Well, For their Somewhere Back In Time Tour, they mainly plaing songs that they never played live before. I remember them saying that all of the fans who saw them in the 80s weren't gonna hear the same songs they heard 20 years ago, and they were gonna hear songs like the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and songs like that.
