IRON Series 30 Min Upper Body Workout - Shoulders, Back, Chest | 2

Ready for some heavy lifting? Every part of your upper body will be under tension and load with a series of exercises to promote the growth of muscle.
This entire workout involves dumbbells… all you will need aside from dumbbells is a mat!
The timer will be on for 60 seconds per exercise with 30 seconds rest inbetween!
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 2 x 17.5kg, 2 x 10kg and 2 x 4kg. Below are the specific weights I am using for each exercise!

These workouts will highlight to many of us that we can infact consider increasing the weight we have previously used.
It is not often I increase my weight, and infact sometimes I will use lighter weights than I could do such as 15kg for lunges in day 1 or 10kg for the shoulder press whereas I could do heavier if seated etc but I find it helps if I provide what weights I am using in relation to each workout as the timer varies, therefore the rest. Other aspects that affect the weight include when in the workout do I do a certain exercise, what came before it and how many sets.
Though I do think many of you might end up considering upping your weight particularly in lower body workouts as we progress!
We will be hitting the arms specifically on day 5 even though the biceps and triceps were involved in this workout and also within day 3!
You should notice just how much demand is on the triceps on particular during the chest press and also shoulder press!

Wasn’t yesterday such a brilliant start to thus new series! And today we have thus fantastic upper body workout to look forward to...once again all our favourite exercises here but it’s going to be intense...interesting to use such a wide variation of weights! I am absolutely loving this Iron Series. At 55 y.o., my body is already responding much better to the superslow movements rather than the typical faster paced movements I've been doing for the last year or two. Thank you CG!

I’ve been working out with Caroline for around a year now and I felt super strong after today’s workout. I remember doing 30lb dumbbells for chest press and that being hard a year ago, and now I did the chest press, renegade rows and pullover with 40lb dumbbells in this workout(which is slightly more than 17.5kg). I feel so proud of myself for completing this workout with those weights. I am so grateful for Caroline!

After the previous Epic programs, this seems relatively easy, although I couldn’t lift as much weight as Caroline. Evidence of how much strength I’ve gained over the past few years mentally and physically. Looking forward to the next one!

I love the 3-set sessions, I also find very helpful in terms of reference that you show the kg before every exercise in this series. It helps me get better form because I also change weights accordingly. Great work again Caroline, so professional and really well thought!

So true!! It's because she really cares about her audience and she provides quality content and realistic goals. I admire the fact that she doesn't use clickbaits to gain more followers! Some fitness channels have toxic comment sections that make me feel uncomfortable, but not Caroline. Under her videos I only find positive, encouraging comments and this is one of the reasons why I love her and her channel ❤️ I haven't followed any of her programs yet, I just did some of her workouts, but I loved them, they made me feel good.

I am so in love with the new format! I've been able to up my weights a bit and get in a great 15 minute stretching session after. I actually belong to a FB group of women over 50 (just about to turn 68 here) and we absolutely adore you!

I've just gotten news that I have some health issues that I've never had to deal with before and single mom with litte income at the moment so to find you has been such a blessing. Thirty minutes is a small price to pay for a healthier heart, better lung capacity, balancing the hormones, stress release and a more pleasant view in the mirror eventually. Thank you!

Why didn't I leave a comment when I first liked this workout? who knows, but truly a kickass upper body 30-min of 3 sets of various simple tasks, but the varying weights made it so great to see me be able to challenge myself. I'm definitely not at the level of the high kg weights Caroline does, but 15lbs, 12lbs, and 8lbs still made for an AMAZING sesh! Thank you Caroline and hope each of you loves it too... rubbery arms is REAL!😅❤🌺💪

Finished the fuel series and onto the iron! If anyone is trying Caroline’s workouts, I would recommend staring off wirh the fuel and then going onto the iron series. It’s short and intense for busy individuals! I was a bit confused as to what to do next and found that these two were a great transition!

I found this channel quite late, I actually completed fuel series when it came out and i thought I'll be sticking to it for few more months, but one day I gave one of the iron workout a try and I loved it. The workout pattern is quite different, cannot wait to try out this series.

That was a great workout! A little goes a long way! I was weary about only having 2lb and 10lb weights, but 2lbs was enough to feel the burn on those flys! And the lower weight allowed me to focus more on my form and going slowly.

8/24' For my reference, I used 30/30/25s for chest, 25s for rows, 20s for press, 10s for rear flys, 15s for the finisher and burned 115 calories.
