DEBUT ALBUM "MONSTER" AVAILABLE ON iTUNES: bit.ly/xPuvnX CD AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: amzn.to/ironsol Iron Solomon finishes Jin at Fight Klub in NYC. Full Video.
This marked the end of Jin's battling career but not just because he lost, it's because he knew the style of battling he mastered was coming to an end. Jin talked about this on Vlad. He came back to a different game.
Jin was from a freestyle era when writing your rhymes was not allowed. Times changed when a lot of rappers were actually writing and that was the downfall of Jin when writing was normalized.
Yeah me too. He was the greatest in my eyes back then. I remember a time where he battled 2 different guys at the same place and won both of them flawlessly. One of the greatest to ever do it imo before battle rap became heavily commercialized
Jin never caught up with the times, hes a great mc but should have scripted his battles too. International P ruined fightklub, he sucks as a host, his mic skills suck, his clothes suck, he sucks at everything he does.
You can see after Iron's second round that Jin is visibly shaken and was taken out of his element. Jin didn't think Iron could free. That gulp @ 6:48 though.
Iron prepared. Jin did not. That's what happens when you bring a knife to a gun fight. This was fresh off Jin's loss to Serius Jones too. I know he won the '05 thing again but I don't know, he got exposed after all these losses. The freestyle off-the-head shit didn't cut it anymore against someone with a well prepared verse.
i just used the knife to a gun fight to describe jin and cassidy losing to solomon and goodz (lesser rappers) because they brought a knife to a gun fight and now i see your comment. must be the truth
Yeah but i feel bad for jin cuz he only lost to serius jones cuz of racial bars and if jin woulda said anything close to racist, the all black crowd woulda fucked him up then rob, loot, and burned down their own store and neighborhood
Then sometime later iron solomon had his ass handed to him worse by mook than he did to jin.. he was even more unprepared for that than jin was in this battle
@@whengothamisashes actually no, he was prepared but it was wack for the smack stage. also i can't confirm this but I think Mook and Jin were cool back then? So after Jin lost to Serious, wasn't that when Mook battled him right after?
It probably was scripted, but the thing is, if you know you have an upcoming battle with someone, wouldn't you write a little bit to diss them? I know I would.
"What you gonna do, survive off your fight club days? Nobody remembers those older rounds. The only thing people remember from Fight Club is "Yo! Hold it down! Hold it down!" That's how annoying your fucking host would sound!"-Dizaster *Dizaster vs Iron Solomon* Lmao who else caught that?
Jin was freestyle off the top and Salomon had written everything previously. It’s 2 different eras colliding . But Jim happened to be in the wrong era at this battle unfortunately.
I was just thinking that... This is a prime example of the two eras bleeding together. Still tho, this wasn't exactly fair. They were both playing by different rules.
@@dallasbagleylol no they weren't...they were playing by the exact same rules. Jim could have wrote some 🔥 before the battle he chose to come off the top. Iron decided to write his disses and polish his lyrics and delivery. Completely fair and played by same rules just played with a different playbook
Before this battle Jin beat Solomon before. With this battle Solomon prewrit like hell and done his research so was well prepared, Jin however, was overconfident as he was at his peak and didn't really prepare which shows in his freeing. Jin called Solomon out infront of a crowd at some kind of concert for a rematch, but Solomon wouldn't accept saying I've beat you once I don't want to waste my time. Shows how Solomons stuff was prewrit all researched and know he can't beat Jin again. Funny how Solomon uploads this as its the only thing he has to be proud of.
@@jrandomyo1077 Battle rap now sucks. No flow. It's all jokes and gimmicks now. I liked when you stuttered or stopped, your round was over. Now they say the same lines 20 times until you get it
@@newphilmz3605 Now most of the time, when they're repeating their lines over and over, they're trying to continue but the crowd wont shut up. And jokes and gimmicks? Lol. Check out Solomon vs Rum Nitty.
@@jrandomyo1077 During Fight Klub onc3 the crowd shut up you redid the last line and kept it going. These new battle rappers start the whole verse over and repeat it 10 times slower than before. And Iron Solomon has always been wack, Jin just fell off after Serius Jones
Iron Solomon is nice, but this performance was trash. Jin wasn't great either, but it seems like the crowd had made up their mind before the battle started, because they were hyped about trash lines from Solomon and sleeping on decent lines by Jin.
I think this might be the first time name flips of this nature was captured on film..notice I did not say this was the first time someone did name flips in a battle but I think the back to back name flips have never been seen like this
People like Jin are the reason why people don't freestyle no more. If its going to be wack, rather hear some good writens than a wack freestyle. You should always mix in both and not just one or the other
Clips, Serius Jones, Hollow, DNA, Charron, Pat Stay, Chef Trez, Prep, etc...todays battle rap have alot of elite freestylers. Jin was barely ok at it. At least he aint fake the funk like Eminem
Lee Smoove u sound dumb. Jin freestyles entire battles. Niggas nowadays freestyle the 1st 2 bars of they round and go straight to writtens. Jin was more than ok
Yea, Jin was right. He just didn't prepare for this one. I think Jin wasn't fully healed from the Serius Jones battle. Not taking anything away from Solomon. He did his thing. I like these older battles. They are a lot better than the newer ones.
Admittedly, he spit some facts, but his last round didn't hit hard enough. In battles, you have to hit with hard punchlines, and let's face it, Solomon's lines hit harder and with more impact.
Jin at this point was in Ruff Ryders and came out with his own music and what not. Had nothing to prove. Solomon was legit a nobody trying to make it. But he destroyed Jin in this battle.
