Very nice proportioned/trimmed May fly pattern George....just looks 'right'...look forward to tying and trying :) ...totally agree with your comment/tip re: using relatively light tippet strength/diameter for wild fish in smaller rivers...I tend to only use size 12 and 14 long shank barbless hooks with a medium action rod ...easier to cast and seem to get more confident takes, better hookups and holds...thanks for sharing such a special fly with us all
Thanks George, for the tying of your mayfly can you tell us what the amount of colours are in the dubbing mix that you have used on the body, as it can make the difference between getting that take on the fly or the refusal fish have to much time to look at the fly on the Lake's compared to the run on rivers as it goes by it's take or leave it keep the video's coming
