Hi from Norway. Like the fact that you show when tings don't go as planned. A lot of channels make it look like everything is easy and that they never make a mistake.
Rebekah, Evan , 4:30 after about 6 months, in and out of hospital, I am more than delighted to try and catch up with “ Country View Acres “. But my you tube sent me back 4-5 years, and I found all sorts that I hadn’t seen. It is great for me to be back. I hope that the full time YT thing is going well! Sincerely, Rod
We are also still in drought conditions here in WV. Just checked our ten day forecast, no rain in sight. Ma y of our farmers have lost crops this summer and fall, we are definitely praying for some good soaking rain!!!
We haven't had rain for a couple of months now. I cleared my land and haven't had any rain to grow grass back, just a big dust pad. I can't wait for rain again. Your new pad is looking great!
Good one, yeah, we need the here in SW Missouri too! Keep seeing slight chances on the forecast that just disappear when the time comes. Hope you get the rain along with us!
Greetings from Brisbane Australia. A builder friend of mine 45 years ago suggested when I was proposing to gravel my driveway ( in surbibia) that the best mixture, in his opinion, was half 3/4 inch, one quarter 3/8 inch, one quarter 3/16 inch gravels. He reasoned that all one grade doesn't really pack down whilst this mixture becomes a denser pack that doesn't result in large ruts This may give you a better parking area
Sod staples work great to pin the fabric down as you go. They are cheap and eventually rust away. Use enough and you can drive on it and it will stay put.
There was a barn that burnt on the edge of town Monday evening I called 911 and the fire department was there most of the night. I always seem to find it takes more rock than you think anytime you start a rock job we had a path to our pavilion at church I scooped out all the old rock and hauled fresh in it took 7 tons 2 loads with my dump truck I was thinking it would only take 1 load
Guys you see why I recommend you watch this channel specifically after a day when not everything went according to plan from whatever you did during the day!!!!
Awesome video , Mike Morgan doesn't care for the fabric , just an array of stone , like you put down and compact each layer , big stuff at the bottom and smaller to dust compacted at the top ? Just a thought . Thanks for sharing !!!!! 😊🙏👍❤️
You make great videos , And you show it like it is, this help other to see that laying cloth down is not easy, your so busy any more I bet some days you wonder how you use to go to a job site , Thanks Evan
Nice job on the gravel parking area. Those freeze dried candies looks and sounds delicious. I'm on the same page as you, we need some rain, only 2" here in over a month. I hope we all can get a good amount of rain soon!
If you haven’t looked at Lumnah acres please do. They have the same work level and building projects. So many of the same ideas and cows. I think you would like them.
Two things your road is compacted well and if the truck drives are any good you have them spread the next load or two of stone. They can start and go to the end and back up and spread another lane. Be easier on you
Have some fun some time by mixing Skittles and M&Ms together. Place them on your counter and watch the looks you get when someone puts a handful in there mouth.
Rock never goes as far as one would like. It’s always better to put it on thick though. The biggest issue I’ve experienced with woven cloth is the dog gone weeds manage to grow through it in both directions which is a royal pain in the butt! I hope you have better luck.
If you plan to store equipment on that gravel why wouldn’t you put a cover over it first to keep the weather off the equipment so that it doesn’t rust 0:10
