Why would you not have expected that? It was no secret how good she was. Plus, just the fact she is a 6 star in the same archetype as Cantabile should tell you she will be extremely good.
When she first came out, folks were 100% downplaying her. “She’s good, but not meta.” I’d say she was rated properly at the time of global release, though. Perhaps a bit underhyped given her insane utility, but still recognized as meta.
@@Raptchur She wasn't very hyped on release and overshadowed by other OP releases around her, then she turned out to be the best general use Vanguard in the game.
I watched this video today, after IS4's been out for a few days. It's crazy how much I agree with the operator picks. My IS3 team, which I went for in my First run, got me through my first run successfully but it was painful. Almost immediately afterwards I noticed how unfriendly it was for them. Based on what I saw I made some adjustments and ended up with several picks recommended here. Indeed medics and defenders play a far greater role then before. Snipers I feel still work, just wished the mode would give me some vouchers... May with her slow on S1 has been a reliable pick so far.
I thought IS4 was just going to be IS3 but stupidly harder with insane boss mechanics that gatekeeps IS4 to OP 6 stars only But I think they genuinely tried to make the game less RNG reliant this time, with ample opportunities to build your team at that. Over all seems like an improvement over IS3
I personally feel the opposite. I feel like not getting the right vouchers can end your run. In IS3 and IS2, I felt like I could get away with running with whatever voucher I receive. Even if the dice-mechanic was annoying, IS4 maps feel harder overall to the point where 3-4 Star characters feel a lot less viable. Granted, it feels too early for me to have opinions since it just released yesterday on Global. It took me over 6 hours to get one successful run on the easiest difficulty.

I've been looking forward to this soo much after disliking most of the stuff they did in IS3. 100% that with all the BS is a slog that I never want to experience again
Love the inclusion of Swire alter in specialist. She may only be good into the Nameless Heroes stage, which is a super rare encounter fight, but that's okay because she hard counters that stage. Agree with everything except casters being in the meta, they are still a second-line class that you pick up either with high mastery (like CN streamers) or for ending only (Mostima/Qani for ending 2, Ceobe for ending 4). Specter alter being included in specialist meta is kinda silly, I don't think there's a single record with her and even specialist/caster squad enjoyers don't pick her. Other than those nitpicks, very solid video. Hoping everyone the best of luck in IS4!
I haven't played IS before so this UI is very confusing, that being said I want to get some of these rewards (Typhon's skin specifically) so guides like this are really helpful.

Ling can be good supporter pick and for defenders Horn can be a starter(few emergency maps could be harder this way). Also W is kinda good. Foldartals is meta

I think I remember you mentioning on the last stream that "trimming" a medal takes up to 12 now. Can you clarify that? Ngl feeling a little nervous even tho IS4 is said to be easier than IS3 because the only "game-changing ops" i have are mlynar and ines
Trimmed medal is now on difficulty 10. Adding to it is that clearing the game in different difficulty now gives you different emblem looks on the top left corner of the squads when you pick them at the start of the game. The highest tier requires you to play difficulty 12 and beyond, if you plan to grind those.
I can't even clear the 0 diff level...ling is good but dp thirsty, i dont have reed or gavial so can only bring one of them from support, and i dont have mlynar too, everyone else i have, its annoying how tree buffs only work on level 3 and above....
Do you think Rosa with her maxed module can still be valuable in n15 over Typhon? (personally I don't have Typhon, but Rosa has definitely been an all-star in IS ever since I got her) The S3 bind has seemed pretty clutch in my initial runs.
glad to know enemies don't will have a billion res just for breathing i like to do only supporters run but IS3 is just a pain in the ass with enemies taking close to 0 arts dmg

@@fmffmf6267 When u combine foldartals (runes) it will decrease by 1 and some specific can decrease it by 2 or 3. Other than that there is one squad that decrease it by 2 when u clear battle without leak, there some encounters or relics that will decrease it too.
Do keep in mind this video is talking about higher difficulty levels which basically require having stacked rosters, so things will be different in lower difficulties. Blaze and Mountain (Mountain especially with his S2) will work perfectly fine, I believe, since they’re fairly tanky. Thorns faces the same problems he does in the other seasons where he’s dead weight at E1 and has a bit of a windup time with his s3 at E2 so he’s not optimal for stages with tight openings… though don’t be afraid to play suboptimally at base difficulty. (I bring Ebenholz with me on every IS run regardless of season.) Always a good choice to borrow a strong starter operator you don’t have from a friend during initial picks, too. how would you recommend compensating for the flexibility omertosa + yato offer if you don't have them? i imagine they are not mandatory but make things significantly easier.
Dorothy and/or Aak can fill up part of the CC and full map coverage they provide, then you have to improvise on your blocking and sustain part because if you don't go to them, they come to you. Then you need the proper tool to quickly take them down before they overrun your defenders. Lin would be a great choice for her AOE damage and combos with Aak. Just some theorycrafting that you can try out
Seeing that hope is more common and shops more generous, it should be easy to assemble the abyssals. They + typhoon should have you covered in most situations you'd need yato or Texas. I'm on global so it's just a speculation on my part
on high difficulty no. In IS#4 you NEED defenders(units with VERY high def) to lanehold. Shattered champions and other elite enemies on floor 5 are capable of tearing through tanks so guard laneholders are not recommended for high difficulty, though they are fine for the first floor.
Yes, she can stall Boss as the boss gimmick is can't be blocked after receiving a lot dmg and can't be slow or Bind, no levitation immune Mostima also best option as her Slow isn't normal slow effect U need stall boss with Defender + Healer and wait after all other enemy gone so u can focus on kill boss
Specter alter and Gladiia are still decent options since together they give +20 Max HP and -30% dmg to the AH squad while providing invincibility + CC. However if I'm getting specialist tags, I'd rather get Texalter, then Yato alter and Dorothy as those 3 are just so versatile and powerful for all the maps.
Reed probably better since u can use Cheap Operator first to block then put Reed after as she giving a decent dmg and heal after and a crazy DPS DPH from S2 While Kalsit Cons as starter is expensive as you need Deploy Kalsit first who have no dmg and need wait for 10 sec or more to summon monster (like you put fang first, then Kalsit, problem is enemy won't die alone from fang and you probably leak before waiting for 10 DP to summon, while Reed immediately give a arts dmg and Heal to Fang and kill most enemy with S2 after few Sec) Before I tried Reed as starter, I'm struggle a lot for starter bur Reed solve most problem Tbh not only IS4, but I think Kalsit is quite bad starter for IS as how Expensive she's
Among CN players, reed alter/gavial alter/Ling are some common options for starter before the DLC. Yato and Virtuosa also perform really well for IS veterans. After DLC, Degen just became the optimal starter since she is useful in literally every single stage from the first floor to the boss.
I think the range for ST healers are low key more important in is4 in quite some situations, that's why people look to them more instead of Ptilopsis this time
The real reason why I will play IS4 is for the skins 😅 Typhoon for my main account and Santalla for the feline account. But I'm worried about my feline account performance 😂
wow, my weaknees here is on snipers and defenders. not a fun of supporters except Ling(for obvious reasons) I did not get Typhon despite spending all my yellow certs and orundoms 😅 so, maybe IS4 will become enjoyable for me on Ray arrival in 6 months
From the looks of it, snipers aren't as strong in IS4 so you probably can make by without one. If you really need one to start, then maybe borrow friend's Typhon.
Attack speed buff is most broken thing in IS. and meanwhile ray standing there reloading her gun from what i see she such a fan pick idont understrand how she has higher value than typhon

IS 4 has runing enemies Ray can simply perma bind them and kill them before going out of range. That's why Pozy is considered to be "fallen off" because she has small range and can't compete with Ray and Typhon even with typewriter.
