When it’s dark enough to where I can’t see, the gold bladed War Eagle with a black rubber toad comes out. Never fails. Last night I caught my pb smallmouth at midnight in a lagoon where I’ve only caught dinks previously.
i use a buzzbait night fishing , it's tricky but open water with some islands and submerged brush piles but i listen when i make that long cast i here it hit the water and see it a little but jerk it up on top and then just slow roll it and get bit a lot and i can't see the blow up but use a moderate tip rod and they just load up then i lay in to them good works well but i can't seem to get bit after day light so i figure they feed a lot at night in the summer
Great info! Was that Lake St. John or Bruin? Looked like one of the two. I see my old buddy Joey in the boat with you...good dude right there. I haven't seen him in some years. I remember when he worked at Cabelas in Gonzales.
