Coloured hair needs daily and weekly treatments and avoidance of any other damaging processes. I had to switch from Olaplex once a month to Olaplex once a week and lots of trims! 😅 You need a daily protein mist and a daily moisture mist and weekly deep conditioning alternating protein and moisture. Also I find the loose type 3's handle colour better than type 4's and the coarser/thicker strands handle it better than the finer strands. I have genetically fragile hair but I was still able to have colour for a year before i had to cut the colour off. In the beginning I was scared because i thought I'd need a complete buzzcut 😅. But i managed to keep most of my hair due to highly professional colour and regular home care treatments. Colour is high maintenance! 😅
Yes it is I colored my hair for over 10 years (wasn’t natural) when I decided to go natural in 2020 it was a game changer. I didn’t realize how it affected my scalp, hair, texture etc. I’m a gray haired natural so that was another experience. But I’m so glad my hair is healthy and I realized I had to stay away from color it’s not for everyone…. I get so many compliments now because of great natural stylist who help me get through the process Great information 😊🙏🏾🙏🏾

@@harriet7676 I wanted grey hair like yours but since my parents are in their 70s and still not even half grey, I don't think it will happen for me. Small blessing because neither are bald or half bald so I guess I will keep some hair. My dad always cut his own hair and my mom stopped going to the hairdresser in her 60s. She lost her edges before her 30s but the rest of her hair is thick enough to cover the missing hairline. She wears a headwrap or her own hair. no extensions.
Wow, Wait a minute is that the same head. That haircut is everything. Was it cut into that style while curly or blown out?? Her hair looks great. So pretty 😍
