I've driven cars with a stage 3 clutch and trust me it is brutal as a daily driver. The clutch grabs so fast that it feels that you're going to stall the car every time you release the clutch. Expect you leg to feel sore if you get stuck in traffic lol.

Ceramic button clutches are very aggressive and tear the shit out of the steel friction surfaces. (new flywheel by the time clutch wears out) I think yours were mounted solid to the disc so that's why it is "grabby". On large trucks, some have cushion springs under the pucks to soften the engagement and offer more feel.

ive had my stage 3 clutch on my '12 3.8 for about a month now, taking off in 1st can still be tricky, especially with the sensitive throttle with the sfr 1.5 tune.

Sebastian Puentes Yea it actually was a stage 3 puck clutch. i replaced it with a stock clutch and butter is the best way to put it. stage 3 is like putting cold stick butter onto toast vs the tub of easy spread butter lol

If you know what to expect from driving stage 3 clutches it shouldn't be that hard, yea you may stall couple times but should be pretty easy just gotta remember to give it gas first rather than let out the clutch first and then giving gas

You should hang out with your dad at the shop as much as possible. I'm sure he could teach you a lot about engines, transmissions, etc. I learned everything by watching youtube videos and reading crappy installation instructions (did the Turbo upgrade and all supporting mods on my WRX by myself). I wish my dad had a shop and was skilled working on cars. Stage 3 Clutch - firmer, takes more pressure to ingage, needed to handle the added power from your mods. Usually the stock clutch is the first thing to go once you add significant hp to your car = just a few things your newbies might not know.

I had a Hyundai and I totaled it. it was an ok car but the air bags never deployed and I told myself I would never buy another Hyundai. but watching and subscribing to mvt and Ryan's channel has made me want to buy a Genesis. I gotta admit for a Hyundai Ryan's car is pretty bad ass. it also looks fun to drive.

good luck lmao. on the bright side it’ll be easy as hell if you ever drive a stage 1. I learned on a stage 1 and it probably took me 3 days to get it down and a few weeks to get where I don’t think I’ll stall anymore

+ByeBye I don´t know what a Stage 3 clutch is, I´m European and I drive a Sintermetal clutch by Sachs on my 1.9 tdi.... Which when I´m looking and the camera movement in the video looks like it´s comparable to the clutch action in my car. www.sachsperformance.com/de/kupplung/performance-kupplung-sachs/kupplungssatz-000826-001490 Done around 10.000 km with it now, honestly it will get on your nerves if you daily the car.... The actual moment when the clutch engages is so brutal you need a lot of concentration and feeling in your left foot to make the clutch bite in a smooth manner. There are versions which are sprung much like stock clutch plates to allow for more distortion, certainly a more streetable possibility.... At least it´s not a twin plate setup, these things are nearly impossible to get off the line^^

Have had a racing clutch in my Camaro since 2001. Hate driving around town with no slip potential. 50,000 miles over 15+ years, I won't buy another. With as much stop and go traffic as my area has, it makes no sense for me to have. The street versions are so much better from a drivability standpoint unless you're actually racing. The only thing that sucks is that my clutches tend to last me 200,000+ miles with my longest being 310,000 miles. I won't be replacing this one unless the transmission blows up.

I drove a heads/cam LT1 Trans Am with a fucking puck clutch in it for a year or so. It was quite... a lot more grabbier... and honestly was a NIGHTMARE to drive every day.
