First time watching your channel I gotta say you have the best review for this car. You say what people really know not all the extra non sense and the camera angles are on point really shows off the car . Majority of cameras never do justice for cars
I'm a driver, handling , power and balance are all very important to me. I still own my 2005 TSX in blue.. still runs great and an amazing driving car. I'll be looking to see how it performs and how reliable it is. But yes this car is gorgeous
Planning on getting a TLX I’m 15 and want to start saving to buy a car on my 18th bday this was very helpful and I think this is what i will be saving for
Digging this video! Making me feel a little better since the Straight Pipes kinda savaged it. Hoping to get behind the wheel of one down here in the ATL for testing purposes. Keep up the excellent work! 👍🏻
@Raschaud Farmer Interior wise I do agree that this is more modern but from a fun standpoint, the G70 is an appropriate sports sedan with rear wheel drive while the TLX looks like one but is unfortunately front wheel drive. The SH-AWD is definitely good from what people are saying. The TLX would also make a better DD since that has more space for passengers and cargo. There's lots to love for both cars!
Daniel H. Plus with SH-AWD, the system can send up to 70% of the power to the rear wheels. And the new type s is rear bias. You won’t be missing any driving dynamics if you have SH-AWD
I prefer the G70 it's a V6 Turbo with high end interior , more balanced blend of sporty luxury and fun. This Acura is overpriced, there are many better options out there for the price. For this price you can get a Lexus IS or if you want sportiness you can even get into a charger Hemi or KIA Stinger , Infiniti G ..etc.
The Lexus IS not a better choice than this TLX. Infiniti does not make the G anymore, and if you’re referring to the Q50, that’s actually the worst car in the segment. No one is cross shopping a Charger with these cars. Also this TLX is not overpriced, it’s still a bargain compared to the Germans, it’s a way better car than the first gen TLX with more expensive materials, of course it’s gonna be more expensive.فهد
Wow man, that intro tho. Your cinematography and shot composition blending into your animated logo all to the beat... next level my friend, next level. I'm truly impressed. That opening takes this from a car review to a work of art. Keep going man, you're going to be a big upset in the car review community soon.
Surprised with Acura thinking 46k car Aspec doesn't include heated steering and 360 camera. I know how Acura wants you to buy the Advance package (which you can't get with Apsec sportiness) just watched it because you my man reviewed it. Nicely done again!
2010, when Acura was on the wrong way that was Luxury instead of their DNA was Sport. At that time, they dropped the Type S performance and focused on the way which Lexus has been on. In 2018, Acura almost to get bankrupt because of their biggest mistake in their history, but fortunately, Honda spent more than 2 billion USD to help them.
I like the TLX and looking forward to the Type S as a possible upgrade but the rear seat room and infotainment system are a little concerning based on what you showed so will need to try it out when it comes to dealers.
Thanks for your review and I find you seem very informative and knowledgeable and good speaker...but like so many RU-vidrs you compare features, driving dynamics, etc to many cars that cost more, designed for a certain purpose with this or any other Honda products
As an owner of a much earlier Acura TL ASPEC I think with that car and now this one with just a little more effort this would be a extremely beautiful car. Seems like Acura designs always get to the goal line then fumbles.
Another fine review 👍🏽 I wonder what the Honda equivalent is/will be because in Europa we don't have Acura's🤔 And.... Toyota/Lexus, take some notes. This is how you design a conservative beauty of a car!
FrankypankyV8 There isn’t and won’t be a Honda equivalent. All the new Acura models are strictly Acura now. None of them share a platform with any Honda or are sold as Honda’s elsewhere anymore. This new TLX rides on a exclusive Acura platform. You guys wont get this car in Europe at all since its an Acura 100% and Acura isn’t over there sadly! Hopefully they do come over there sometime in the future!
I think the mouse pad is good, just takes some time as you can look at the screen and just feel out the pad since it’s near one to one touch as you’ve shown in the video.
Sharp. New redesign is awesome. I bought a new 2020 Accord Sport 2.0T a few months ago but regret a bit not waiting for a TLX though it’s probably a little out of my price range. I would have skipped the A-Spec and gone with the Advanced package most likely but still...SHARP car.
Great review, despite the drive portion snafu. The drive description of it painted a vivid enough picture though. My thoughts are even though it is a huge overall improvement over it's predecessor in styling inside and out, it fails on 3 counts. The interior packaging is horrendous, especially when it comes to the increased length and width. The weight increases as a result are very disconcerting as well. Finally, for me at least, the truck like turning diameter of over 40' is a deal breaker. My choice in this very respective segment would be the refreshed Genesis G70 with the new 2.5 Turbo for much less or even the 3.3 TT for close to the same cost. If I am going to have a car with the interior packaging of a rwd car, I would rather have the rwd car. I am very happy to see the return of the double wishbone front suspension.
Great design but the engineers f'd it up. That transmission will be the death of this car. They better do some serious tweaking because if the full blown Type S version has that type of hesitation between gears with/without the paddle shifters it was all for nothing. Oh how the mighty have fallen. $50k for this thing ? Those wheels are a joke on a sportier version. Why do Honda products almost always leave huge wheel gap and have tiny wheels? If you ain't driving in major snow states just get the FWD Accord and save 10k + !
Is the 10 speed for the acura geared differently than the 10 speed for the accord sport 2.0t? I have a 2020 accord sport 2 liter Turbo and I find the transmission very responsesive for that vehicle
Good video but my guy u gotta take some bass out of the audio track. Your voice has way too much low end so when you’re listening on speakers it sounds hella muddy
The infotainment is easy to use not sure why people have difficulty. They just want touch screens which to me can be a distraction. I had an RDX for a week and quickly acclimated to the system compared to the rotary dial on my ‘11 MDX.
Love the style of this car. I just don’t know about the small interior space and massive price tag considering genesis is currently killing the game for less. I want to see what the type s will offer, but damn is the Acura beautiful
The Genesis G70 at this type of trim level is only a few thousand less. It's extremely comparable. I've been comparing them closely because I plan to get one of those two vehicles. :)
I hope you're not speaking of TheStraightPipes--They, especially Yuri, were paid by Genesis to make the TLX look bad, by doing this Genesis hopes to highten their G70 sales (only 11k sold in all of 2019). All the other reviews I saw from reputable sources like MotorTrend, Forbes, Motor1com, CarandDriver, and Carbuzz all said this TLXs handling is great.
Seeing what Acura did here only has me more excited for the updated Genesis G70 coming out. Very beautiful location where this was shot👍With the updated Lexus IS going touch screen for there interface it leaves Acura alone with its user interface "uniqueness" to put it nicely, as the Honda fanboys in the comments appear to be in full force.
I really think it needs some 20 inch rims like the Type R. The 19s have too much tire and takes away from the luxury look... easily can upgrade to 20s though.
@@mww4ever true. I mean I know it's a luxury car and all, but let's keep it funky....in all actuality it's just an Accord. I don't see how this car can cost 46k😵
Is mine burning too much a 3.7 2008 mdx tech (which i love) 51,000 miles a quart low about every 3,000 miles? For the first 30,000 miles same amount put in taken out.
acura is finally turning things around they had a really rough decade from 2008 to 2018. And effectively fell off. Audi showed up and now Hyundai and Mazda stepping into near luxury status. side note I love this Acura Blue as much as The Mazda Red.
