I'll offer my two cents here: Normally, from what I've seen regarding Valentines Day art, it doesn't really confirm anything besides they fact the two characters in question are at least close friends. I believe SEGA released merchandise for Valentines Day that was something along the lines of, "Be my player two?" with Sonic and Tails, but it's cannon they treat each other like brothers. The Kirby franchise also has a couple wedding merch - even Kirby and Meta Knight RINGS but their relationship is described as "friendly rivals" in the games. So...yeah, Agent 3 and 8 may just be vibing in the picture as friends do

I prefer 8 as straight but I can see why people think he’s not, I mean his color is pink and he wears a crop top (though he’s supposed to for the tests, it’s not like he wants to be pink, maybe he wants to be blue and wear hoodies idk)
