If you were to level a justifiable criticism at John it would be showing Tate's corruption in order to promote his own book. (A book that can stand on its own merits, BTW.) He would most likely win. The issue here is that people conflate the case file with his life style. His life style may be morally unacceptable but none of it is officially a crime. The case against him is quite specific and that case is what Candace reviewed and the actual evidence they have on him in the case file is simply too weak.
