★ ABOUT THE VIDEO:
In this video I'm playing Battlefield 4, that was released already back in October 2013! There's quite a few people still playing the game, so check out what I have to say about BF4 in 2024!
Battlefield 4 is a 2013 first-person shooter video game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released in October and November for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is the sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3, taking place six years later during the fictional "War of 2020".
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was criticized for its single-player campaign and for numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success, selling over seven million copies.

@@40splishsplash people are always asking for the next BF4 and saying it "was" the best battlefield. It IS the best battlefield and you can play it right now! Forget about the new ones! Buy BF4 and don't even preorder the next ones. Honestly I would rather spend my money on new BF4 content than an entirely new game. I'm 900hrs in and it still doesn't get old, still looks great too despite its age

@@Ill06Taco Nice to hear that, a lot of hours invested in BF4! Yes, pre-ordering games overall nowadays is a "no, no", I would say. But new games will be made in the BF series, whether we like it or not, so I do hope that they are careful and bring back the "BF soul" and the style of gameplay that many of us got used to and enjoyed, into the newest title as well.

@@SogeKingDon For me, BF4 and BF1 differs quite some in terms of style and gameplay, probably because of the era as well. I like them both.

@@40splishsplash For me, the ambiance was great, but they implemented way too many simplified mechanics to bring in newer players. The sniper sweet spot and heightened hip fire accuracy were the main indiscretions for me. Everyone was running around hip firing everything from pistols to entire LMGs like it was some Hollywood action movie from the 80s🤮, and they carried that accursed mechanic straight into BFV.

It's worth mentioning the game has problems with PunkBuster where it may not install correctly and thus kick you from servers continuously.

I played BF4 for years to grind to max rank on Xbox 360 for like 2-3 years, just bought the game on a steam sale and have been reliving my 'simpler times'. Currently fighting the urge to not play it for hours on end instead of sleeping.🤣 Great video man hope to see you online.

Man im having hard time whenever to buy Battlefield 4 or Battlefield Hardline those games were my childhoods game.. Im kind of looking forward to play those on pc

Yeah, it's a lot of pressure on DICE/EA now when it comes to the upcoming new BF title (BF6). It better be good and do well.

There is no way 400k players playing bf4 daily considering there are only a few active servers on pc side. It is just not possible.

I also believe it sounds like a very high number. But again, people are also playing on PC via EA (not Steam), and of course the different consoles as well, so maybe...The activeplayer.io site is usually quite correct, also when comparing with the other (older) BF games. But again, I can't confirm those numbers. If there's another accurate or more reliable source, then I'll check that out.

@@40splishsplash i thought battlelog would show all the active servers and players accurately but i guess even gametracker does a better job since it doesn't show fake pop and is indeed better at showing the number of active servers but again, i play team fortress actively. People say the steamdb data is wrong and there are less than 20k active players daily. Why im saying this is because team fortress really has too many active community servers and not even mentioning valve servers. So yeah, that number must be some what fake. You are doing some quality content btw i liked. Take care.

You say "A few active service are active on pc" In what region do you play? I play in the Europe region, and there are litterally plenty of servers full with 64 players available. I can say with ease that there are many dozens full servers to choose from.

Hey, I am also from asia and there are almost no servers in this region and when I try to play in EU servers, I get kicked due to my ping. Any tips on how my ping can be improved?

Currently it happens to me that I find quite a few cheaters in BF 4, I even dare to say that it is worse than BF V before they implemented anti cheat but that does not mean that it is an excellent game

BF4 is to this day better than the pathetic shooters companies release. BF1 was also amazing, and contrary to what others believe, i feel like BFV was amazing. The movement in bfv, diving, laying on your back, being able to grab ledges even after jumping off stuff, rolling ti avoid damage from high jumps, and the construction system were all great

Thanks for your comment! Yes, I also prefer some of the older BF games over many new shooters that are being released. I got to enjoy BF5 more later down the line, since I wasn't a fan when it was released. I released a BF5 video recently, talking about that.

I checked Asian servers and I did find eight servers. However, there was no one playing by the time I was checking them out, due to the time difference. But at least there was some servers.

Everyone hacks no online game is genuine honest game play. Everyone gets jealous of another person's stupid screen name so they hack because they want their screen name to be the coolest truth is they dont know how to really play so they cheat because they envy that people are truly enjoying the skill of their honest intelligence.

@@40splishsplashIt's like a person who has a very important high paying job and buys himself a expensive beautiful car to reward himself of his hard work but knows nothing of how to fix a car so he gets an oil change and the mechanic even though knows all knowledge to fix all cars that his skill is still not enough to buy him the same expensive car as the person who originally brought his in. So out of envy and jealousy the mechanic uses his skills to destroy and sabotage the new car that he cant afford all because his monkey mind is still immature in the head and knows doing so will ruin the hard work and joy of the person who owns the expensive car all because he is not able to bring himself the same joy with the very skills that can fix a car that he can never afford. Humans are like giant infants.

Reinstalled 4 and 5, 2 weeks ago, Un-installed both yesterday. They were both quite boring and Not worth playing. The franchise is dead when BF 6 releases it will be a great cinematic trailer of non gameplay moments to get you to part with your money and it will be plaqued by exactly the same infestation of bugs, that EA and DICE are now best known for since BF4. Don't play it, don't buy it, don't give EA the satisfaction of having taken your money and you for a long ride off a short bridge. Play Delta Force, that franchise is only going up from here.

Thanks for your comment and feedback! I guess we have different experiences here, since I enjoyed going back playing some BF4 and BF5 recently. There's a lot at stake when it comes to the new upcoming BF6 title. For the sake of the franchise and fps gaming overall, I hope they're able to make a good game, and not like BF2042..Looking forward to try out Delta Force, I hope it will do well. Seems to be a promising BF alternative.
