Today I'm playing Battlefield 1 once more, asking the question if BF1 is the best Battlefield game ever made? There's quite a few people still playing BF1, eight years after release. So let's dive into it and see how good it really is!
I’ve been playing bfv on and off for years and I’m about to start playing again because it’s always been a great game, in my opinion. I currently play PUBG and played old school RuneScape for 15 years but for some reason I always come back to battlefield 1 or 5 , the classic world war vibes are amazing. Great video!
I know that they added flinch some time ago, which I think is fine, but it should have been there from the start. But have they done something else as well? (I haven't played XDefiant for some time now).
@40splishsplash My main problem is how easy it is. If you took away all abilities it'd probably be a little less troublesome. But overall I think they're just really overtuned. Considering they can one shot, they're way too easy to handle, and ads time is way higher than it should be. If I cross an open area and get sniped, it's a lil annoying that I'm one shotted, but ultimately my fault, they were holding a point, already aiming etc, fair enough. But if I'm flanking with an smg, or a shotgun or whatever, get into a 1v1 and lose before I have time to deal half their HP, because all they had to do was aim and click once, then that's broken. Especially when level 20s can pull it off easily and consistently.
@@themortician3186 Remember though that if you miss your one shot as a sniper in close quarter, you're most likely dead. If the opponent isn't a bad player...I've heard people saying it's so easy to snipe. Well, why then aren't the lobbies filled with people just using snipers? I challenge anyone to play as a sniper in every match for about a week, playing aggressive and still place top 3 in every match. Not many will manage to do that. Why? Because being a good and consistent sniper, will always be harder than being that consequent with a reg gun. It's more a mental aspect for many players, being more "ok" being shot ny a mp7, as an example, compared to a one shot weapon. A psychology kind of effect, I guess.This is a fast paced shooter with a pretty fast TTK, if you start to slow down ADS speed or what not, you'll put snipers into a severe disadvantage against other weapons, since the pretty cheezy (still) bunny hopping/airstrafing movement while still being able to ADS, which in combination with desync and bad hitreg, puts anyone in a disadvantage, no matter what gun they're using (hitmarkers). There will always be a small percentage also in fps games, that are really good players and especially good snipers. Because they will stand out. Doesn't matter much what the devs decide to do when it comes to nerfing the guns, they still have great aim and they'll adapt to the new situation. As someone said; you can nerf the guns, but you can't nerf the players :) At the end of the day, maybe we should be happy that these monster "aimers" aren't playing with reg guns all the time. They would most likely destroy many lobbies. Just a though :)
@40splishsplash The problem is that the players aren't monsters. They are just regular players. Almost every lobby I've been in has had at least 1 sniper player, regardless of map or mode. They do consistently well regardless of level, and usually end up placing 1st or second on the leaderboard. I'm okay with some people being really good at a punishing but rewarding gun. I'm not okay with almost anyone being able to pick it up and shred lobbies because it just isn't difficult to use. It's a one shot body shot, which isn't particularly difficult to hit, it's ads speed can be pretty high, and it isn't punishing enough, considering it's so good. I can run head on into a stationary sniper and die, that's fair, that was my mistake. But if I ambush one, hit all my shots, but still die before I can kill them because they can ads and 1 shot me in the time it takes for me to kill them with pretty much any gun other than like a one shot from a shotgun, then that's broken.
@@themortician3186 We're of course talking about a small percentage of players that are as good as I described them. That I'm aware of. But I've been playing mainly as a sniper in most shooter games for a very long time. Shooter games overall for plus twenty years(!) Maybe that's why I very seldom have problem with snipers in fps games when I do choose to play with a reg gun. Not in Cod, not in XDefiant. Not even before the flinch was added either, in XDefiant. I don't walk into their scope, which a lot of guys are doing (I understand that you don't), and I can usually use movement to my advantage so I don't get hit by a sniper close up. In this game there's also an invisibility ability that can be used to sneak up around or behind players (a sniper as an example), a counter, if you will. Or the Spider bot, lol. If the devs would choose to make the snipers one shot only from the upper chest and up, or only neck and head, then they do need to address the jump spam/air strafing in the game, for sure. In combination with desync and bad hit reg, it does exploit a mechanic in the game that should be dealt with. Adding aim sway after the 3rd or 4th jump, isn't enough in my opinion. That and the netcode in the game, are my biggest concerns in the game, at the moment. Slowing down the ADS speed on the snipers is a bad idea, in my belief. You would just end up having even more "casual snipers" standing far away, watching lanes in order to get a kill or two. Not sure if that's what we want in a fast paced casual arcade shooter. Weapon balances and ability unbalances aside, since there's quite a few of them; the netcode is utterly bad still, and the main reason why I'm pausing XDefiant for now. If or when they manage to improve performance, then I'll also might get back playing some more XDefiant. Fingers crossed that they can fix that. But hey, it's the Snowdrop engine. Oh my lord, a Dirty Bomb video in 2024? This is awesome. This is still my favorite game of all time, and I play it every week still. Surprisingly, there are still active EU and NA server daily, though sometimes the NA ones are a bit late night. If we could get some more people to hop on in though, that would be awesome
Awesome to hear that you're still playing Dirty Bomb...Yes, I tend to do at least one(!) Dirty Bomb video a year. Mainly since I do want people to know about DB, and also realize that it's still possible to play the game although the game nowadays has a very low player count.
Press the cog wheel up to the right in the start screen and choose settings. For me there's a language option down to the left side. Choose English. I hope you could find it and change language. It should be there if you're having a new "Global" account, playing via Steam.
SBMM has only made it so i cant play cold war or MW19 in australia anymore. Which idk why its so strict because having a bad ping in COD makes it virtually impossible to compete unlike other games with longer TTK and more choices in general. if i was gonna grab MW2 i would have to do it just for campaign because i cant trust the MP surviving long down under : (
@@40splishsplash it fights back at you whenever you weant to do something, that's the best way to describe it. you want to run? fine, but the whole map hears you, you want to shoot your gun? good luck seeing past your weapon smoke, you want to shoot while you move? yeah right... all the weapons run on the same setup because the rec oil is 1000x then previous games... SKILL BASED MATCH MAKING... you want to run and then shoot? take 1 day off from work... you want to quickscope with anything that can kill past 100 meters? take 3 days off from work... as always infinity ward had a vision for the style of game they wanted to create and they've created it. most people didn't like it, they told them, and as ALWAYS infinity ward ignored them. they have a long history of this, and it's about time they get called out for their bs
I wish for PS2 to be as it was , I rememeber I was in the Red team their bullets is the fastest I remember , and yeah I liked to drive cars and aircrafts for the platoon , we were getting hit from everywhere when riding the biggest aircrafts , OMG , I am going to download this game again. FK IT

Although MW3 is a copy and paste more or less when it comes to MW2, they did fix things that I believe should have been in MW2 from the start. The movement overall is one thing. On the other hand; a lot of people are now waiting for BO6, myself included :)
Funny this video popped up. I just recently started playing MW2 the other day. Not only do I like the maps better but I am so sick of the crap with 3. I swear there is skill based aim assist. I got really tired of having a person completely in my sights, take the shot and it goes through them then I get melted by his AR. One game I can't hit the broad side of a barn and the next game I'm a laser. MW2 doesn't seem to have this as much and my games are a lot more consistent. Maybe it's all in my head and it's just that all the hyper-sweats are all on MW3 but whatever it is, I'm kinda enjoying 2 more than 3 right now.
Nice to hear that you're having a good time playing some MW2! Yeah, even though MW2 and MW3 have similarities, they still differ. What you're experiencing might be a combo between what you described, meaning mechanics or algorithms, in combination with MW2 being a bit more chill compared to MW3 nowadays.
Sorry to hear that. But unfortunately you're not alone. I come back to this game once in a while, since I think the concept of a game is pretty fun. I wish they would have kept SBMM only in ranked mode.
was me and my friends main game during 2016-2017 albeit a different server due to country stuffs. left about 4 months after at308 introduced came back last few months and my pvp experience went worse the more i play sniper since it sometime cant even knock people off compare to just straight kill them like before
Thanks for sharing your Warface experiences! Yes, since I also played as a sniper early on in Warface, I did notice the change that happened some years ago. I couldn't understand at first why I got so many hitmarkers.
I picked up a copy of battlefield 5 at my local GameStop a few days ago for about $10 bucks. I also got BF 2042 for about $15 bucks (physical disc) In fact, I have almost all of the battlefield games. I’ve noticed that most times when buying digital, they tend to raise prices on older games. With the way digital media is going, these days they can charge what they want and do what they want and a lot of people are unaware. I’ve had a few good games since starting to play again and had a few sketchy games but overall fun. Bf5 and all the other titles are worth picking up.
Thanks for saying! You're right about the variation when it comes to prices, for example digital vs a physical of a game. It can be quite confusing when looking at the different price tags.
Although not the same style of movement, gunplay, or even game design, Phantom forces does offer and extraordinarily robust movement system with an extremely high skill cap and similarly balanced hipfire/ads effectiveness in its gunplay. If you would like to try another movement based game, I recommend it highly. As for the unique character/loadout system, i cannot give any recommendations, which is unfortunate since it could easily help with obnoxious meta weapon spam.

If you check the server browser, you'll most likely find a lobby or two when it comes to modern warfare weapons. At least that was the case the last time I played Enlisted.
@@capolean2902 No, it's basically people that have created their own servers, from what I understand, guess it's a mod or something since the weapons have been "swapped", meaning modern weapons overall. Since I don't play on console, I can't really say if there's a possibility to play these kind of servers on console, to be honest.
I am getting back to a FPS after years... IMO the issue is that (june '24) there isn't a SBMM in this game. I get paired even in Quick cash with semipro players that are headshotted while they're jumping... Basically what I expect are lobby full of other lowskilled / casual players and team with very bad coordination, and instead... EVEN QUICK CASH are 80% filled with semi-pro players (and teams of 3 of them) that consistency wipe away my team.
Interesting that you say that, since I had a similar experience when I played the game recently. Maybe something has changed, when it comes to matchmaking, although I haven't read or heard anything about that.
Your'e welcome! I don't always do that when it comes to requests, but I felt that it was a good timing since I haven't played Cod for some time. If I have to choose one multiplayer out of the two mentioned, I guess I would go with the newest after all, which is MW3.
the card/build systems are what make paladins so much better than overwatch for me because in overwatch every single like reinhardt is the same there is no difference no variation but in paladins you could play any character in a multitude of different ways with cards and then also slightly tweak stuff with items in game as well as i dont really like the whole counter picking part of overwatch because if i feel like playing a character i want to play that character i dont want to be forced to change because someone else changed to a character that counters me
2024 and still missing this game, there wasnt no game like this one everyone liked it no one cheated and it was always fair. In my opinion this game is probably better then most call of duty games
I think if u don't have time or less money then u should wait for black ops 6 as it looks good from trailer and stuff and it will release only in 3 months and it will also be go pc gamepass

Today I'm checking out if Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 (2022) is worth your time and money in 2024! Let's play and talk about this game now that two years has passed since it was released, and Modern Warfare 3 has now been out almost a year. Is MW2 a good game, or should you play MW3 instead?
Love enlisted just wish the grind was a little less and I wish you could fully equip your soldier meaning side arm second weapon as well having large grande pouch and extra med packs as well if you got a engineer on a rifle man squad he could still build as if he was on a engineer squad but other then those little things could ask for a more realistic free to play war game
BF4 is to this day better than the pathetic shooters companies release. BF1 was also amazing, and contrary to what others believe, i feel like BFV was amazing. The movement in bfv, diving, laying on your back, being able to grab ledges even after jumping off stuff, rolling ti avoid damage from high jumps, and the construction system were all great
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I also prefer some of the older BF games over many new shooters that are being released. I got to enjoy BF5 more later down the line, since I wasn't a fan when it was released. I released a BF5 video recently, talking about that.
Ahaha this game is quite strange, there are very poor players because in the same games can enter people who play from both mobile and pc, without adding that there are a lot of bots in every game. Is it fun? Let's say yes, but also too easy to get into ranked and they don't penalize you at all if you get killed almost immediately. It's a bit of a Goofy game the way I see it. 😅
It was more fun when ranked wasn't dead, but people only play co-op and the game has adapted. Now there are more skins and weapons, but I don't see it being any more competitive than when it was launched. It has become more casual and for people who want to shoot lying down in some corner. In my opinion it has become boring. sad 🙁
You have some good points indeed...The game has changed, maybe it started a bit already in the first Insurgency? Seems like a lot of people are playing co-op, for sure.
Polygon is a very good game, the battlefield for those with low-performance PCs. I find it better than Battlebit, easier and more in line with the low-poly philosophy. However, there are very small number of players 😢
OG player here I was playing it at the first 3 years since its release, until I gave up around 2017 due either lack of relevant updates or just too slow to get my attention to stay. I mainly went to PS2 because of the number of people playing at the same time. Mass combats were impressive. Nothing else kept me on it.
