The genuine look of being nervous was plastered all over your mates face. Glad you've converted another person over to the "PC master race" Cheers for the great content!
Building PCs is by far one of the best hobbies I've picked up. Will always have one around. It's really cool to see how rapidly the community is growing. Hopefully he enjoys it!
Yes it's expensive and no, I mainly do things to my personal computer frequently. Changing the routing of my loop and adding components or switching them out. It's a great hobby otherwise and I'd recommend it to anyone. Regardless of cost.
@@Shwadeybabe That's cool! I've build my 3rd pc now and for the first time it's looking like something i'm proud of (not just because of the rbg:)). Now i'm constantly looking for other parts or cables to replace to make it better, so I guess i'm hooked too.
A year ago I was your friend. That look of genuine amazement and excitement playing a game at anything over 30fps. I love that you allowed him to make a mistake and then explained in simple wording why he needed to change something. The display cable got me the first time too. I was so worried about making everything else perfect I didn't even think about my cable being plugged into the motherboard. 2hrs of Google later and I fixed it lol
Actually COD and other competitive shooters run at 60fps on consoles. Ps5 also runs at 120fps, but only for a few games. I have a PS5 and I wish there were more 120fps games. That's why I'm building a PC lol.
I’d never been into PC’s, but then my buddy influenced me to build one within the span of a few days. It then took me like 8 hrs to build one, trial and error.
Aw, man. All of the wholesomeness! Great job, guys. Really appreciate the post-assembly Q&A describing expectations vs. reality as I've not built a PC before either. This has reduced some of my trepidation.
We are all born knowing nothing, only with a curious mind and the help of other people can we learn anything. Great to see your mate wanting to learn something new, and great to see he has a capable and patient teacher in yourself, you have a new subscriber. Keep it up!
When I was younger, I thought building PCs was extremely complicated and involved many tools. Turns out I was wrong according to the internet. You just buy the components and assemble them. (I have never built one before)
You don't just buy components and assemble them, they have to match the case, have room in the case with everything else in it, make sure it is compatible etc, I thought it was fairly easy until I assembled mine.
That’s a nice thing to do for a mate. Great vid. I recon I could just about build a pc now after watching many of your videos, just the cables that’d fox me a bit I think.
I spent hours watching guide builds and just bit the bullet in the end, my cable management was a mess and it took me probably 3-4 hours in total from start to getting a post with 30minutes of me wondering why it wouldn’t turn on resulting in me finding out my power switch was off on my psu lol but hey you’ve got to learn somehow Iv built a few now and it’s just like Lego now
@@fromawindow9173 I didn't. I had just built it before this video. But I did watch a few RU-vid videos to learn how. It cost me about $1000 with everything. I could've saved on some parts like the case and power supply. So just do your research before you spend. You can get some parts in a combo deal.
For any other fellow 1st time builders, you can do it!!! Just got my 1st one done, and not without issues to figure out. But it's all very doable. The main problems I encountered were not fully populating my CPU port on the motherboard (mine had a 4pin and an 8pin) and I figured out my cooling pump was not even contacting my processor so switched some brackets and no more hard shutdowns. Biggest piece of advice, download windows to a USB stick before you finish your build! It took me 5 hours to download lol Happy building guys! And thank you PC Centric. Could not have done my build without you and your awesome, easy to follow content.
@@Uhdksurvhunter It is actually very easy when you look it up and watch a video, this commenter must have done it off memory, figured it out, looked it up and read it, or found a not so good video, I can share a video you would like me to, the long part it the waiting for windows to add to your drive.
Building it isn't the hard part. The hard part is figuring out which parts you should or can use. I tried customizing a pc and I had absolutely no idea what motherboards work with what CPUs or things like that.
this, i just built my first pc and i had to do several weeks of research to figure out what parts I needed and what was compatible, what different terms meant, etc
halfway through this definitely looks a lot easier than i imagined. it's hilarious seeing how careful he is with the components, reminds me of me at work using tools. on that point it helps you've used a complete novice to actually do the steps, often experts speed thru without appreciating the sheer lack of knowledge beginners have. good banter, feels very informative i'll only know if i try to build myself, how much info i've retained and understand. finally, after spending about 15 mins searching 'how to play games on a laptop' I'm relieved i've found exactly what I was looking for in your channel. happily subscribed
Just built my first one yesterday and I don’t think I can ever go back to a regular computer not just for the gaming but just the sheer speed of everyday tasks and school is a huge benefit
And this is why you keep your friends close people! look how grateful he was at the end knowing he could keep the PC... that's what you call a true friendship
just finished building my 1st gaming pc. I wish i had tried it sooner. I think people just see all the hardware and get inside their head thinking they could not possibly configure all that together and it becomes overwhelming for them. I was one of those people super nervous and Im not going to lie I ended up purchasing a gaming laptop first about a year ago bc I could not get myself to the point of being able to build my own pc but I eventually got all that junk out of my head and made myself believe i could do it. I watched a ton of YT videos and finally got the confidence to do it! That was awesome of you to give your buddy that PC you could tell he was stoked about it! keep up the good content dude!
I enjoyed watching this video and I understand when he says it was simple to put together which I believe it probably is especially as everything supposedly fits together however the biggest difficulty is actually choose in things that will work with each other that’s what’s giving me the biggest headache I have so many questions about all things all standardised how do so many different companies make things for all the different cases but all still fit I don’t want to make any error in my choices
I built a pc it was very easy even though i didn't trust myself I literally just watched every pc building tutorial there is until i MEMORIZED THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF BUILDING A PC Now i can build a pc without even looking at a tutorial and im begginer
Thanks to PC Centric and others, after months of watching numerous videos last weekend I purchased the parts to build a new PC. Though have installed memory and graphics cards previously this was a step up by doing CPU, cooler, motherboard and power supply
I loved this! The humor mixed with the incredible knowledge you share is priceless. Great info and amazing delivery to make the learning process enjoyable. Keep up the great work!
It didn’t take me long to build my very first one, mainly because I watched so many videos on people building them, a little bit of error but it turned out great. Also, who else finds these puns funny 😆
Nice build! I was going to buy a high end Gaming PC, then I broke my sister's smart tv. Instead of buying my new Gaming PC, I bought my sister her new smart Tv. Now I have to wait for a year to buy a Gaming pc. Now I can't give my self a Gift this upcoming Christmas. 😔
Building my first pc today. Firstly this video is very lovely at the end, very genuine. Secondly it has given me some confidence before I start. Liked. 👍
Great video. I will be building my 1st gaming pc. It gives me confidence. but still nervous I might plug those cables in the wrong slot. It looks easier in this video since PC centric is assisting that guy
Thank you PC Centric for your time and effort for making these videos! Because of this, I’ll be able to be more confident in going to a shop and pick out parts knowing I could do this myself for the first time!
Loved this video. by far my favorite one from you PC Centric. What a great awkward dynamic you and your friend have. Hope to see another collab between the two of you again soon!
American here who appreciates you explaining "curbie" because I thought you meant Kirby the pink marshmallow Nintendo character. Initially, I was like, "Of course we know who Kirby is." Thank you for teaching me something cultural in addition to the great how-to videos! Cheers, guys!
ive been looking everywhere for a video like this, been using console since 2013 and my mate recently said my aim in fps games like Apex Legends and Halo was horrible. Also, assuming this gear is good, ill be getting everything in the vid asap and following is step-by-step! Anyways, thanks for the amazing content!
Both my kids are gamers and during a weekend of taking one apart I realised I have no clue what language they are speaking. I'm here to learn oh wise one. Thank you
My (at the time) 48 year old mother built her office PC mostly on her own. Same as you did i told her where to put things and she did it, she even knew that something was wrong when the put the RAM in the wrong way round.
Welcome to the pc master race. I started with a gaming laptop. Please don't kill me lol. I didn't know any better. I will be building a gaming later on.
Your friend made out good, good for him. I've had a 6800xt/5900x for a year now at 1440p which is how I play it's fantastic. It'll blow his mind with competitive games since he's coming from console.
Assembling a PC is easy. Making a complimentary system without unnecessary bottlenecks takes some expertise. Hiding every single cable and even making AIO tubing disappear is an art.
Great video, although the installing windows and enabling xmp/potentially having to update the bios and download all the drivers is the part that I am the most anxious about, having not built a pc myself.
I built my first one 4yrs ago (halfway through my second one now) & I was also concerned about that & pretty much everything else as I knew absolutely nothing about PC's when I started (Google & RU-vid became my best friends 😂. The Win install, drivers etc is actually all very straightforward & there are countless RU-vid videos on it. Just go for it mate & i'm sure you'll be fine 👍
I have watched this video around 30 times and was able to have the confidence to build my husband's and my gaming PCs. Thank you for making this video!!
This has made me honestly consider saving up for a year to get that prebuilt 2200G APU as a starter pc. I don't have that much money, but but at least I can start somewhere.
ive watched your tutorials on how to build a gaming pc and it gave me so much confidence! When i built my pc, it looked absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for your help Pc Centric!
I much prefer the AIO setup to be for exhaust whether top or side/front mounted. It doesn’t make much sense to have hot air drawn into the case. Especially in setups that have additional fans drawing in air from the bottom, front or other side panel. Great build & excellent instructions!
I really like your friend 😊 I'm building my gaming PC in a few days and even I know a little bit more than him, I'm sure I'll be as nervous as he was and I really hope mine turns as good as that one! Awesome job! 🤗
I appreciate this video so much it will be a year or so before I build a pc but I added all the items into a Amazon list and I’ll be slowly ordering them when I get the cash. Thank you for this video I thought Pc had a lot more components and I was scared I would miss something and waist thousands of dollars but this shows me so much thank you!🙏
My suggestion is to buy all of your parts at once. The reason is if you only buy 1 part a time and wait a long time to buy the next part, you may not be able to test them. If you're past your return period, it can be difficult and/or annoying to work with RMA departments if you find that a component isn't work correctly. Its your build and money, you decide how and when you buy it, but I would buy the parts at once or within a few weeks of each other.
After console gaming for my whole life my brother is building a me a pc and I’m really excited the budget is 2000$ so it should be good and I’m just here to learn whatever I can about pc
Great video!! You and your friend work well together. I've never built a pc, so I understand how your friend feels. Also, thank you for explaining curby(I think that's what you called it).
I bought a pc with 500 gb and bought a new m.2 ssd and it FELT SO COOL THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKed AND INSTALLIn G IT even tho it's so simple I'm new to the pc world and it's cool
