Have you reviewed the Casio Mz-X500 or the Yamaha A3000? Im trying to get an idea for my new workstation. Im planning on ordering one this week just want to do some thorough research on they type im looking for. I really dont know what the diffrence is between the Yamaha A3000 & the new 975 PSR series? The Casio mz-x series look & sound decent with slightly lower prices. i have a korg arranger & a old 2008 touchscreen Roland E50 but I was kinda wanting a Yamaha and really just wondering if theres any big diffrences between the yamaha PSR vs A series?
Thank you. I love the "wink" lol. We bought this keyboard because of your first review and love it. The drums, by themselves add a lot to our playing. Even without the damper sounds etc., The sound of this keyboard if fantastic. Even without being able to adjust volumes of split/layer, you can select a quieter piano sound if needed, to one that overpowers the other tone. Save it as a registration and you're all set. I'm old {65} and used to have two keyboards and 2 drum machines and a dig ital reverb and the CDP S350 outshines that setup in one lightweight compact unit.
I use old triton and many times get looked down by montage user, fantom user, also nord n kronos user.... its okay to be dreaming something but more important is never skip practicing my friend!!!
I watched a few of your videos before buying my first keyboard. I bought the CDP-S350 for a first keyboard. Thankyou for your videos. It helped a lot before purchasing. I believe I got the middle ground keyboard for a beginner.
I’ve been doing some shopping myself, just started messing around with a piano app on my phone, next thing you know I’m at a guitar center, I walked in thinking Yamaha - PSR-E363, I walked out thinking cdp-s350. I hope to have one in a few weeks!! 🎶
Thanks for all your review for piano digital at this range. I’ve bought it and feel good. At this price range, cdp-s350 Has rich feature, got in and out aux port, relatively lite, compact in size dimension, can use 6 AA battery, got display so that we sure we can see what tunes we play in the dark, came with gigbag in my country, gosh what else? Ow the sound from its speaker, it feels not as good as roland fp30. Thats just it!
Thanks Jeremy See for this update on Casio CDP-S350. I've had mine just over two years and still very happy with it. And to answer questions I read about using this keyboard to perform professionally, because there is only a "mini-stereo" jack output...no worries! This WAS my biggest worry but I had a custom adapter cable built (1/8 mini jack into keyboard with a 1/4 out to mixer) and it sounds great. Just performed at a large event that had big stage, great stage and audenice monitors....all good! Great sound. I had thought about selling to "upgrade" but why? Keeping this keyboard for another year!
I hope you do more videos on Weighted 88 key digital pianos w/ arranger functions :) This is a great video and it's super difficult to find digital pianos like these.
@@JeremySee yes! Especially for people like me who learned on portable keyboards (with all sorts of functions) but want to get serious AND still have those extras that dont usually come with digital pianos. I'm curious about the fp10- although it doesnt have the arranger functions on the keyboard itself, they say that you can access the extra functionalities using the mobile app. I'll definitely check your older vids about it. 😊
Awesome video Jeremy and super informative as usual. I do have a question though: why don’t you review many Kawai products? Their digital piano line is expensive but I’ve heard solid quality. Thoughts?
I would recommend this to young people seeking a cheap multitrack recording piano with a convincing action and plenty of sounds. It's cheaper and lighter than the competition. Fantastic for budding singer-songwriters.
Oh my gosh! When I went to church today, the worship leader was playing a digital piano. All I could see was "Casio" on the back. I messaged her on Facebook and asked her what model it was. It sounded amazing! It was the Casio CDP-S350. This is my goal for the next step up. What a beautiful sound....
Jeremy, really appreciate your videos! I have been looking a bit for a weighted-key MIDI controller with a built in arp...This certainly fits the mold, and my question to you is: does the keyboard send MIDI data to your DAW post-arpeggiator? That is, the onboard arp on the CDP-S350 would apply to my virtual instruments running in my DAW?
Thank you for your very helpful information. We have just purchased the Casio 350 just now and please if kindly you could help with the couple of questions here: How is Casio 350 's midi connection performance to iPad or iPhone ... is that Yamaha ew410 better in this? also, any casio or yamaha keyboard models with singing input recording function to input singing outside of the keyboard as well the keyboard playing? Many thanks in advance. Also, Is that Yamaha ew410 better than casio 350, if we ignore the 88 or 76 keys and the fully weighted keys...it's for my 7 year old son, who has piano lesson every week for half year, with real piano at home already....Many thanks,
Jeremy , I've boiled down to 4 sets of keys .. if u could say which one would be better then I'd like to proceed : 1. Yamaha Psr e463 2 . Yamaha Psr i400 3. Casio CTX 8000 I m looking for a keyboard to practice and produce music. Or is there any other model I could consider ? thankyou for your time
Between the casio cdp s-350 and donner dep-20, which one should i pick for a beginner piano for my son..he wants one with lots of cool features and sounds that he can experiment with.
Just bought one of these. I also have a Casio MZ-X500. The biggest problem for me compared to the MZ is the speakers are terrible. Very muddy and like you've just run them through a filter knocking a load of frequency off, really flat. With headphones in it's a lot better but I still don't think the sounds on offer match the piano sounds on the MZ. I'm quite disappointed really and may return it and get the Privia for a bit more.
05:45 we get it Jeremy why and where and to whom this wink😉😃 is intended for nice touch and the screenshot you used for it😝lol.... btw loved your video and as usual concise and to the point description of all features..
@@JeremySee why wouldn't I, I watch and follow all of your reviews and also of the person this pun is intended for again nicely done and also I would like to add that I had the opportunity to play the casio px3000 and didn't find the issue that was mainly highlighted as it's flaw by someone and so you were correct that the difference in action is negligible. Thank again for all your in-depth and informative videos that you make on keyboards and piano. Keep up the great work...kudos✌️
Thanks for all the informative videos! I've been thinking about buying a keyboard for a couple months now and I've decided I'm ready to buy one. Only problem is so many options, it's a little overwhelming for a noob. My budget is anything under $1000 CAD. Ideally looking for an 88 weighted key one if possible, but also one that doesn't take up much space. What would you recommend for me in that budget? Mainly just learning to play classic piano, though all the effects & options on keyboards nowadays do like they would be fun to experiment with as well. This CDP-S350 is $50 off right now for two more days and I'm pretty much ready to pull the trigger on buying it.
i'm the beginner and i'm looking for the best digital keyboard like 500-600 usd. what's your suggestion: cdp s350 or cdp s160? and why ? someone help please :D
I'm looking to train and become a classical pianist. Was thinking between the CDP-s360 and korg b2. What would you recommend? I just like this because this is battery powered, I prefer korg's piano sounds over 360's from the reviews I have seen.
Hi, sir thank you for your videos, this video made me decide to purchase this piano. I bought a 2nd hand CDP-S350 but it's almost new, just that the keys are a bit sticky maybe the first owner did not take care of it so much even he got it for a short time. Just asking what can I use to get rid of the stickiness of the keys? The last time I used alcohol on my CTK Casio piano keys and it was a disaster.
Hello Sir, I am looking forward to buy this piano but it's nearly impossible to compare the sound quality of different instruments because they don't have digital pianos in the store in my city. So I have couple of questions. Is S350 have better piano sound quality as compare to CDP S150 or same? Also where Casio CDP S350 stands if we compare it with Yamaha p45 and Yamaha P125 in terms of built and sound quality. I might make my purchase based of your reply. Thanks for your time :)
I was hoping for Electronic Dance Music-style arpeggios right after Jeremy discussed them, and a picture of Italy might've worked better when playing "That's Amore" (starting around 7:30). But hey, a good review.
From my beginner understanding, Privia has a more authentic acoustic piano sound than CDP. CDP is Casio's attempt to produce the most affordable digital piano possible. I'd say it's more of an electronic piano than a digital piano. It contains many features that you probably don't need if you're only interested in authentic piano sound. Privia has arguably better key actions due to using a patented technology.
Just a quick question, can you plug headphone in this one? Or maybe just in general, can you plug headphone in every digital piano? This is my only concern because I need headphone to practice because i'm not alone at home.
Sometimes I have a ball at freaking Guitar Center and then let me go into the expensive stuff and I grab the Rickenbacker 12 string and started playing it and the next thing I know they're tapped me on the back handing me a cord telling me to plug in it's the only way the Rickenbacker can be heard correctly and then let me play for a half an hour it was wonderful I've been playing for 40 years so you know it's not like I didn't know what I was doing but thank you for listening bye
Where Casio CDP S350 stands if we compare it with Yamaha p45 and Yamaha P125 in terms of built and sound quality. Thank you for your reviews!! Greatings from Uruguay
Hello, is this piano still a good option today? I'm a truck driver and want to learn piano. I want something portable I can keep in my semi, I do have a space under the bunk to fit a piano and a foldable stand but don't know if this is a good option for a beginner and portability. thank you for the help.
Everyone that does reviews on this keyboard and even the manual glances over how (or even if) you can connect this keyboard to a keyboard amp. I have not noticed the necessary jacks on the back of the keyboard. So, can it be connected to an amp?
Hi! I have a question. What's the differences between weighted hammer action keys and natural touch keyboard? I always read them under the piano product, and I want to know the difference and which is better to get my suitable piano keyboard. I will be grateful if i got an answer 🙏
I'm really interested in buying a keyboard but wanted to know if piano songs can be played on keyboards, i see a ton of piano tutorials for songs but i don't see as much labelled as keyboards. i know very little about this stuff but am interested!
Hi Jeremy, I need your advice please. I have a 6 yo. She is going to start piano lessons next year, we are looking at buying a digital piano for her. Which one would be the best option / suit her? Looking forward to your reply. Thank you
Jeremy See I need your help I am overwhelmed with all those videos. My twin girls are taking classic acoustic piano lessons I would like to buy a 88 keyboard for them and also for me ( i will start my lessons when I get the keyboard). I need a keyboard that will last, not only for the begginner. I like the idea about the ivory feel keys. What would you suggest quality price and that will be statifying for the intermidiate and advanced student.
I'm a beginner too, and I bought this piano after watching Jeremy's video. I've used it for 3 months learning piano, my next step is to explore the arranger function. It takes time but brings fun to my life!
Hey Jeremy, I’m a Yamaha PSR owner, a subscriber to your channel and a fan who has learned a lot from you. I was instantly interested in your course and the unconditional 14 day money back guarantee with no questions asked made it more attractive. Then I read the fine print and saw that there are conditions. From your website: “Go through the course, follow the steps, show me that you are completing the assignments, take advantage of my bonus of a personal progress review from me, and if it's not helping you within the first 14 days of your purchase, send me an email and I’ll refund you immediately.” Those are lots of conditions and it’s not clear to me how I would satisfy all of them, so for now I’m gonna pass. I’ll keep following you and hope the terms might be a little more forgiving in the future - the course looks like something I would enjoy. And thanks for another great product review!
Hey Jeff! Thanks for reaching out. There will be those who will join the course, download everything and then ask for a refund without having attempted any of the assignments. That isn't fair to those who have supported my course. There are many full lesson previews at the end of the course page. You can have a go and see if it's suitable for you.
@@JeremySeeThank you. I don't mean to whine and I agree that it's unfair to give it away to freeloaders while others are buying and trying in good faith. There are so many ways of charging for these plans and I certainly don't know how you can arrange to protect your intellectual property and your good faith customers since there are bad faith people out there. Piano With Jonny has a biz model that protects him and his legit customers but I don't know how well it could adapt to your offering. But anyway, thank you for replying and I will check out those previews! Thank you.
Well, if you're talking about an "arranger" specifically, there might be none. But a digital piano with a good tone? Casio doesn't come close to Yamaha ( though a Yamaha might have fewer features)
