End of the day some bystender or other unlucky soul gets caught in crossfire. There is no escaping it, just praying.

How do some people miss that fact? We were clearly shown that Graves only attacks those he deemed as combatants, not obvious civilians.

No he wanted to kill Soap and Ghost. In the mission you had to craft items you hear him talking to his shadows while burning a house about capturing TF141 and he said “you know my preference” with regard to alive or dead. Pretty obvious.

How did shepherd screw them up it was a failed operation and there was no point sending reinforcements, the men there were already dead and if anything graves was acting like the villain in that situation

@deathmare they were close enough to base that air support could have been used but Shepard did not want to

Shadow Company is still a major ally to 141 and ULF. Alex and Farah willingly worked with Graves even after knowing what occurred in Las Almas. Shadow company also helped them in their last assault on Konni in Urzikstan, and I believe Shadow company operators were actually on the ground with 141 and ULF as well

@@drunkvax I mean that they wouldn't have the initial bad blood developed during the events of MWII. The 141 were wary when they learned the ULF and SC are allies and even if Farah vouches for them, it's still an uneasy truce... despite Graves trying to rekindle.

@@Deathmare235 Shepherd is very evidently a SOCOM or JSOC commanding officer, the raiders would've worked with or directly under him at some point in time, you wouldn't just hire a random contractor to do these things for you, unless you knew him prior

How is he a patriot if he’s a mercenary

@@Deathmare235 a "patriot" is defined as someone who vigorously supports his or her nation etc etc. Notice how I said "blind patriot?" What i meant by that was, someone who's views are blurred/skewed or simply following orders "blindly" in the name of loyalty to the country. Doing things that go outside the lines of morality in their own belief of what patriotism is. Gen Shepard is a blind patriot. Doing what HE feels is right and justified to defend the US, even if by illegal or immoral means (as shown by his actions in both MW2 games). As I mentioned according to his bio, Com Graves is a proud former MARSOC Raider, who formed Shadow Company. IMO, he formed the company to get paid doing what loves to do...fighting in the name of the US. While being a mercenary, u can avoid a lot of the "red tape" that comes with waging war for such (just ask Black Water). With that said, (again imo) it seems to me that he's a proud vet, who left the red tape behind, formed his security company, and found himself working with/for someone who had the same ideology as him. He then simply just followed orders in the sake of what he felt was the right thing for the nation. Those missiles were being shipped to fight against our biggest threat in the Middle East, Iran. In MW3 they are shown to be given to Farah who has become a budding ally in said region. There is no mention he contracted outside of the US, against the US, or for anyone else beside Sheppard. So to me, he comes off as a "blind" patriot who now gets paid to do what he loves, all while his vison is blurred. There are plenty of accounts of such things occurring throughout history and there is no reason to believe his loyalties go beyond the US just because he is a merc.

@@TheHuntsman570graves didn’t even fight for the us, they were fighting with Russia in mw19 Edit: a lot of shadow company members left the us army on bad terms and don’t consider themselves apart of it, including graves himself

@@Deathmare235 and were they fighting for Russia in MW19? I remember them fighting against Al-Q ( terror group of MW19) but nothing implies they were fighting for Russia. Especially considering they are working for Shepard on behalf of the US in MW2, and handing missiles to Farah. Again, jaded view of "on behalf." edit: i believe that they were added to the "Russian" side of mp in MW19 just to balance out the operators.

Arthur Morgan is completely different, he’s a bank robber who wanted to redeem himself, graves is just a mercenary and him turning evil was due to bad, contrived writing, the exact opposite of Arthur

Graves and shepherd’s plans always get thwarted as well

Graves a good guy in his heart

It may have been his men who went off the reservation killing civilians. Graves has often shown concern for collateral damage

@@khoward9512 Keywords you used: "his men". Those men were under Graves’ command/leadership and responsibility. He may have shown concern in other instances but Graves did not show any concern of collateral damage by letting his men kill civilians in Las Almas.
