I have found Costco to provide excellent service. If you use the Costco credit card you get a 5 year warranty. Costco also gives you a long period to return your hearing aids if you are unhappy. Recently I took my KS10 hearing aids in because one would not hold a charge for more than 12 hours. Costco replaced both R and L aids with brand new units free of charge. Whenever I am shopping in Costco I drop of my hearing aids and they clean them and replace the domes and wax traps. If I need to have my HA,s adjusted it’s a free service. There is no way you can beat Costco for price, service or value.

Ben you are Ph.D NOT a Doctor. That being said this is an interesting info. I have used Costco hearing aids for years as the are affordable compared to a significant cost of price audiologists in my area - 2-3 times the cost of private audiologists. My audiologist in Arlington VA is a Ph.D audiologist.

I'm on my third set over the last dozen years from Costco and they not only do a great job getting you set up with a certified audiologist to set them up. The new hearing aids are also provided with a app for your phone so you can adjust them to your liking. My first two sets are still working and put away in favor of the newest tech which I always find at Costco. Two sets of Re-Sound, just ordered the newest Jabra.

My last three sets of hearing aids have been costco kirkland. Best aid for the dollar. Half the price of similar aids at an audiologist. 3 year warranty on damage, loss, even stupidity when you forget and do something foolish like go in the ocean and forgot to take them out. Stop at the booth, free cleaning, free bells, tune ups whenever you want them. Great all arounds service, all over the country if you travel.

Hey Ben, not sure what you meant about the Jabra Enhance Pro being more of a "more modern Bluetooth style look of hearing aids There's some major cons to that model of blocking your ear canals...". The Jabra Enhance Pro is a receiver in canal style of hearing aid. So no major cons unless hearing loss is profound.

I live in one of those states that offers a benefit for hearing aids.After the first of the year that benefit will go up. I have educated myself on all kinds of hearing aids and prices! I know what I need,because I have tinnitus and some hearing loss. I understand why you don’t deal with insurance. But sure would make my life a little easier…. Being retired and on a fairly fixed income has made it a bit more difficult to find what I really need. I’m checking to see if my insurance will let me purchase your product with the benefit I have. I’m crossing my fingers this will happen… Thanks for the great education……. ✌️❤️🙏

Good for you. High glucose levels raise blood pressure and increased sodium as well. Another way to lower these levels is increased magnesium I'll refer you to Dr Osbournes video on 700 functions of magnesium. Also 70% of all heart attacks and strokes can be traced back to low magnesium.

My Costco Philips hearing aid is now 4 years old and I have had no problems at all and is still as good as the first day of purchase. Yes mine was set up with a certified audiologist that not only put me through a hearing test but also gave me the training to be able to clean and look after my hearing aid for years to come. All the after care and what ever you need are provided free of charge and help is only a phone call away if needed. For another $350 investment I also purchased a TV Adapter so I am able to have a different sound level to the television then what is comfortable to my better half (wife). All in all I have spent almost half the cost of my first hearing aid purchase that only lasted 3 years.

For what it's worth, my neighbour bought a pair of hearing aids from Costco (about Can$1,800) and he's very, very happy with them. They are the over-the-ear, receiver-in-canal type but I don't know what brand. He makes adjustments with his cell phone. It's been two years now and he's still happy, so I don't think you could go wrong by checking out Costco.

Awesome video Dr. Ben. You can’t just get any hearing devices at any audiologist for bothersome tinnitus. It doesn’t work. You need a specialist like treble health too make it work. I went to so many different doctors before I found a specialist in Colorado that specializes in tinnitus. Not many exist or care. I wish I would of gotten mine at treble health but I found you right after I bought mine. I like my oticon. My audiologist set it to my tinnitus and they work really good. Great features too. Only down side is the cost of $5000. I used CareCredit which has 0% financing up to 24 months. 👍

I’ve had four sets of hearing aids over 35 years. Three were from Costco. They all fell short of expectations. Last audiologist told me that since my hearing loss was over such a long period of time that the brain loses its ability to hear long phrases. This has been known for many years and it was the last audiologist, 2 years ago tell me this. All others neglected this very important point. The best hearing aids did for me was improve my hearing from a “D” to a “C-“. Only up side is blue tooth for cell phone usage. My wife refuses to talk to me most of the time because of my hearing loss. Very supportive of my disability. My hearing aids were not bargain basement cheap junk. They all cost in the thousands of dollars for minimal improvement. I don’t think they deliver nearly what they advertise. By the time mine were adjusted to help with any significance all I got was on going feed back. EXPENSIVE JUNK!

You probably need a CI or BAHA if your loss is that severe. Aids can only help so much if you have a profound loss

I haven't been convinced that any of the audio techs I've worked with, including Costco's, really understand sound, the hearing aid technology, and hearing loss. If it's possible to measure the amount of hearing loss in a hearing test, then bringing back what was lost should be all that is needed. That apparently, is not what is being done. Some frequencies are overboosted with the hearing aid which is NOT replacing what has been lost in hearing. It seems that the audio techs ignore and discount what the patient is telling them. I have opted out of hearing aids for those reasons.
@SHaTRO11
@SHaTRO11 9 месяцев назад
Hearing aids can not bring back what is lost. They can help compensate, but loss is loss.

Wow. I was expecting a very biased opinion against Costco hearing clinics and the people who shop there. Instead, I think this is the most balanced, fair video on the subject. Well done. I have just one thought: most potential customers or clients have mild to moderate hearing loss. They do not need the very best, latest, cutting edge technology. A hearing aid that is a year or two behind the top-of-the-line models will be great for most people. Do you need Bluetooth? Will you use it? OK, that may be worth paying for. Rechargeability is a nice feature for some folks but not essential to everyone. Think about what you really need and don't allow yourself to be upsold on fancy models that are inappropriate for your lifestyle. Again, well done. This was a very informative video.

In my experience with Costco they do not have many audiologist, and use mostly technicians. I am a Pennsylvania school bus driver and Costco is not the place to get hearings aids because they do not have many licensed audiologist. In Pennsylvania for school bus drivers the state requires DL-127 School Bus Driver Otological form which requires the hearing exam be conducted by a licensed audiologist or a licensed physician (MD or OD) that specializes in hearing. In many cases Costco and Sams Club do not fit this requirement. Fortunately the Costco I deal with did have a licensed audiologist which is another nightmare that I had to deal with, since that individual did not want to sign off on the form who also did my testing. You would think that individual would be obligated to sign off on the form. I had to get the PA state department of transportation , bureau of driver licensing involved before they signed off on the form. I had to call two other Costco locations because they might have an audiologist, and has it turned out they did not and mentioned that the location I deal with dose have one, on a part time basis. I also contacted two ENT doctors and one did not have the proper equipment needed to complete state document and the other said he didn't have the right box to test the Philips hearing aids. All of the other Costco locations I contacted only had Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and they cannot sign off on the State Form. I have 180 days to return the hearing aids and currently in the process of finding a new ENT doctor who also has the right equipment and licensed audiologist. If I want to continue driving a school bus in Pennsylvania, Costco and Sam Club is not the place to get the hearing aids. I was new to this entire process and boy did I get an education.

I am on the hearing aid distribution board in Montana. I have to say that this video is very misleading. In Montana it takes a year of study, apprenticeship and testing to become a valid hearing aid technician. The equipment used is top notch and is inspected by the state on a random rotation. I use hearing aids and received mine from Costco (Costco brand) over 3 years ago and they are doing as expected. Costco does not sell a Costco branded hearing aid at this time in Montana or Idaho. I don't know about other states.

Hearing aids are a huge lucrative business like gutter covers to keep leaves out of the gutters. They are microminiature amplifiers with small rechargeable batteries and tiny speakers. This technology has been around for a long time, so design and development costs have already been retrieved. A hearing aid that costs $7K dollars is an immense rip off. I purchased a set of twenty-dollar hearing aids that work amazingly well. The sound quality is excellent. They are rechargeable and each charge lasts over 12 hours. I also bought a set of $100.00 hearing aids which have a low hum noise and do not fit into my ear canal. If you try a few brands of inexpensive hearing aids, you might find that they work excellent. Don't pay thousands of dollars for a hearing aid that gives the seller thousands of dollars profit.

This sounds like a lot of hocus-pocus. I am an audio engineer. People generally lose the ability to hear high frequencies. They need those frequencies boosted. There’s a problem because a lot of people also have tinnitus tinnitus is usually high frequencies. So they get an audiogram and the reason I can’t hear the high frequencies is because the goddamn tinitus is masking them.
