Do a test comparing a proper pre-wash versus dish soap. This will prove one way or the other if an actual pre-wash is really worth the money or not. Good video brother
Maybe it was bad with the old fashion wax. Modern coatings shouldn't have a problem with this. Especially since people are using soaps over PH 12 or higher.
I have been taken care of cars for 50 years, and back in the day, we only used dish soap to wash cars. Dawn was not available then, maybe dish soap was not as strong? If I preforming a strip wash, occasionally I use Dawn, Super Clean & Purple Power Vehicle & Boat wash as mixture. Maintenance washes, I will use a pH neutral soap.
