I don't see it as Dean stepping out of character. I see it more as us getting a glimpse of his real character, that he keeps hidden behind a wall of what you normally see. This is when I started to feel like I was really getting to know them boys. Especially Dean.

This'll become more explicit as the story unfolds, but the boys are a *lot* more complicated than Dean The Brusque Tough Guy versus Sam The Sensitive Smart Guy.

It's very in character for dean to care about others actually as you can see in the way he worries about and protects sam. He just hides it behind a front with his sarcasm and nonchalant attitude

Yeah I have seen quite many commenting that, and I am sure you are all right! It's only three episodes in, and I was only speaking from what I know (which of course is very little). The facade would make sense, that having that attitude maybe is he's way of dealing with it all. Looking forward to seeing more of them and getting to know the brothers better!

We're so happy to have you join the family! I never understand people who gatekeep a famdom!! The show is here for us all to love and enjoy!! I'm so happy you're enjoying it! I love this episode. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Dean + kids = 😍😍😍 The boys on the road together is DEFINITELY an epic road trip. I think we all understand the obsession!! It's an absolutely fabulous show. My favourite for sure, and Dean is my all time favourite fictional character. I agree with what some others have said, that this is the first hint at the multi-layered character that Dean becomes. He and Lucas are completely precious together. This was a great reaction!

They changed all the music on Netflix. The original music for the show is much better, but harder to get past the copyright strikes.

8:11 you might recognize her as Fred from Angel (the actress’s name is Amy Acker). Dean is written a little one-dimensionally in the early episodes, but this is an early glimpse of the great character development that develops through the seasons.

Hm, I haven't seen Angel but I looked her up and it might be from a few places! Sutis being one of them. I'm really happy to hear that he will evolve / show more of that side of him. I really liked the version of him that was displayed in this episode!

I think you haven't notice because the last episode Dean was the one pushing Sam to help the family, because remember Sam just wanted to find their dad, and that is very understandable because I mean he just lost his girlfriend that maybe he wanted to spend the rest of his life with so of course he's going to want to find who killed his girlfriend, but Dean was the one that was caring about the family and to make sure that they were protected, so I think you're missing up on who Dean is from the start. I mean the womanizing and the tough guy attitude is very hard for people to really know him.

I know this better now that I have watched a few more episodes but I didn't know much about them in this episode so this is just what I felt then. I have since changed my opinion and totally agree with what you say. Dean has an exterior but he really is caring and very loving - just not always great with words!

Dean is the kind of man who would flirt with every attractive woman, but the moment someone shows him genuine affection (like when Lucas's mom kissed him at the end), he runs away as fast as he can. 😂 Also, I totally get what you mean with just being a few episodes in but being obsessed with SPN already. 😅

I totally see that though, because I think being the easy going Dean is way easier for him and when things get to more emotions, with all that has happened in his life, it becomes too much 🙈 I literally move and breath supernatural rn aaaaaah

Water freaks me out too lol like deep water, lakes…. Like I love to swim but I can’t think about it too long. I even feel apprehensive about swimming pools lol I mean I do swim in them and stuff but sometimes I just feel like something will pull me under… I’m 38 lol

Hahah I'm not alone to be freaked out by water it seems, and after this I def felt more scared by it!! I was terrified even in swimming pools when I was younger and I still dislike the deep end of the pool to this day 😂

Hey just a small request, really like your reactions so far, and supernatural is awesome. I'd like to watch along with you entirely (I have netflix & supernatural is on there) but you make small edits that end up desyncing my playback with your reaction. I understand having to edit out the actual footage in the video to avoid copyright issues, but maybe leave your reaction 100% so it fully matches with someone watching on netflix? Just a suggestion, I know editing can be tricky sometimes. 😎

I’m happy you like the reactions, that means a lot!! The plan for now is to eventually upload uncut reactions to a patreon with a timer! That way you could start at the same time and you’d have my full reaction (minus the potential sneeze lol). I haven’t been able to get to it yet as I have a full time job, stream and have another channel too but this is the plan. I’ll add all (or close to) old videos too so they’ll all be available. 🥰

Again the Music has been changed in Season 1. The song playing at 5:30 should be Ratt Round and Round. Music is such a big part of this show it's too bad it is all replaced with generic songs for this season.
