The reality is Milwaukee is a second-round level team that won a title in 2021 based on good fortune: * Surviving a Brooklyn team with major injuries and Kevin Durant's 3-pointer at the end of Game 7 overturned in the second round. * Facing No. 5 Atlanta instead of No. 1 Philadelphia in the East finals. * Phoenix coach Monty Williams refusing to double-team Giannis Antetokounmpo in the NBA Finals. Despite its size advantage over most teams, Milwaukee has been bullied in its season-ending series losses over the past five seasons. Toronto built a wall of big men between Giannis and the basket in 2019. Miami pushed them around in 2020 and 2022. Boston was down 3-2 and ran the Bucks off the court in the final two games in 2023. Even in 2021, Brooklyn ran Milwaukee off the court until Kyrie Irving and James Harden got injured. Personally, I never considered Milwaukee a championship contender. They lack a sense of mental toughness and don't seem to respond well to adversity. While it's easy to blame Doc Rivers and Damian Lillard, I believe that the 2021 title just concealed their real identity: a team that looks good on paper but lacks the mental fortitude most championship teams have.

By your logic, Giannis Antetokounmpo cheated the game by injuring Irving during the Bucks-Nets series when the Nets were embarrassing the Bucks. Also, how does that affect Milwaukee's performance? The Bucks haven't looked like a threat in the playoffs over the past three years. Miami smacked Milwaukee around in the first round a year ago, and the team has been a chemistry/coaching mess all season that looks like it won't make it past the first round. It looks like 2021 is the anomaly of their playoff performances over the past five years.

Even in 2021, the only series in which Milwaukee looked impressive was against Miami, and that was because the Bucks got revenge on Miami for embarrassing them in 2020. Sorry, but Milwaukee always has looked like a second-round level team to me. They got bounced in the first round last year by Miami (which again pushed them around, just like in 2020) and it looks like they will lose in the first round again this season. And once again, it's not that they lose these series -- they don't look like they belong on the same court with these teams.

Who knows what's going on with the Bucks team! I can only say that the game they played against the Lakers -- where they were up by about 19 points in the 4th quarter and then they mysteriously and suddenly looked lost and confused (including Giannis) and without any direction -- was an utter embarrassment. But, as for Doc Rivers, the way the Sixers played under Doc Rivers was just absolutely and extremely disappointing and very painful to watch during the playoffs. I'm sure many Bucks fans were very disappointed when the Bucks hired Doc Rivers.

They just gotta replace Brook or Middleton, that’s it, Khris is great at shot making but causes bunch of turnovers and can’t defend on ball players, Brook can’t rebound but he can protect the rim but can’t guard anyone out of the post so if he doesn’t drop 20 every game, he’s a non factor, his shot selection is mostly 3 pointers which is crazy because he’s a 7’

Basically, what Chuck said during inside the NBA holds true: Bucks need to improve defensively, or they risk having a meltdown in the playoffs. He was being blasted by Shaq and co. saying the Bucks are #2 in the East, just chill out. They'll figure it out in the playoffs. I'm a Bucks fan, and I know for sure that if Dame and Giannis can't score 90 points in the playoffs, we lose. Cause that defense can't defend anyone at the moment. Giannis and Brook can't cover everyone

Nah Joy is right. While Doc does carry a lot of the present blame, it was a wildly irresponsible decision to hire Doc in the first place. Someone or a group of someone’s in that organization are making bad decisions, because Adrian being fired and Doc being hired has to go through several people before it takes place.

Whoever was responsible for firing the last coach and hiring doc is the reason. I agree that doc deserves some of the blame but the players are the ones on the court.
