Has anyone ever recieved a ubereats offer that doesn't show how much it pays. It has happened to me twice in the year and half I've been doing it. The first time I accepted and it turned out to be a low paying offer but today I didn't take it. Mike could you check to see if this occurs in markets other than miami
Im a platinum Dasher and at least in my area its a hige difference. Today i got 2 catering orders alone $83 and $30. Couple months ago i dropped down to silver and it was like night and day.
Well yeah, they don't magically disappear haha. If other people are still declining them, someone still has to take them. The only good thing about Platinum is Dash Now, everything else really feels like it doesn't make a difference
I was just completing orders in platinum. It's not any more money. Benefit, is going anywhere and picking any time, no matter when I schedule. Not more or less. I was taken off offer by time which paid more money. Taken off offer by time a month ago and finally got an email about it this weekend THAT I was taken off and why. The reason has to do with THEIR glitch (out of my control) in the app. Also told me I could get it back with a BIGZ possibility. However, my rate it practically 100 (both), 4.70 in customer rating and almost 80% in early or on time deliveries. Which I am now as of this weekend back to Gold. Lol
If every driver just quit trying to play the acceptance rate game the base pay would be higher .acceptance rate is their way of tricking dashers into taking lower tipped offers.
Got a shop & deliver order at Lowe's early this morning, $27 for 6.5 miles, but 28 items, I went ahead & accepted since it was 7am & not busy yet, upon accepting I see that it is 28, 50 pound bags of round river rocks, 1400 lbs of rock in my corolla, unassigned real fast
So I got a $20 order from Menards. I show up more in the guard says good luck. I said why what's up? He said you are the fifth driver to come... There were five terracotta pots. Weighing 65 lb each. One lady showed up in a Prius said no way. Another guy showed up in an SUV he said he had a bad back. I figured out a way to put them in my backseat one by one and lay them on their side and stack them across the back seat. I drove them 12 mi. It rang the doorbell I asked the homeowner where she wanted them. She asked me to line them up in front of the garage. Later I looked at my earnings and I noticed she only paid 20 bucks no tip. I mentioned it to one of my customers that I delivered groceries to two nights in a row in the rain. I said Man I did this crazy Menards order. I told him about the order. He looked at me and he said you delivered to my house groceries two nights in the rain. You said I got you. He pulls out his phone he has a $50 tip. I go back to the woman's house the next day. A ring her doorbell. She comes to the door. I introduced myself I say hey I brought your pots yesterday. I just want to thank you. I told one of my customers about your order. And he added a $50 tip to his order. So and I said I want to thank you for that. She said don't go nowhere. She came back she gave me a $50 tip. I made $120 off that $20 order with no tip
Dasher rewards, uber rewards or whatever they call it are a manipulation. Its like giving you an employee of the month spot on the wall. Its designed to get you to take crap orders in pursuit of nothing but a broken whip and a badge
Here's the best advice I can give you: treat gig work as an emergency way to make money while you try to get an employee job or start your own business. I have no car payments and no house payments and if my truck breaks down it would wipe out my profits for the year. You can ONLY make enough mo ey to replace your vehicle if youre lucky. Dd and uber have the delivery market cornered and now, they are taking the lions share of the profit by cheating you and overcharging customers.
On an alcohol delivery the customer was a no show. You CANNOT return alcohol to most stores. Guess what DD did, they took the money OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR THE ALCOHOL. Fr guys. Yup that's how bold they are now.
"Platinum" fool here Dasher "Reward" always felt more like punishment scheme against dashers. So called "High Paying Offers" mostly consist of short range 4 or 5 dollar jobs.
I really want them to tweak that to $6 minimum payout and of course still at least $2+ per mile. The $4-$5 high paying offers just don't cut it for the tag
It used to be good, then had to get Uber and favor under my belt. It's not like how it used to be people just don't want to tip anymore. Hoping this is my last weekend, got a part time job that won't kill my car
Top Dasher here with 19,000 deliveries, 4+ years. Having a high AR is cool, but I'm seeing new people in my area getting the same high paying orders. The only thing that I have, compared to them are catering orders. What I wish they would implement is a ranking system for each area over 30 day periods. The way it's going currently is school staff and students are over flooding the market right now, which is only hurting my paycheck. My normal days of 300-350+ are only maybe 200 in the summer. Keep in mind I work 14-16 Hrs a day 5-6 days a week, as it is my full time job. I wish the seasoned workers got a little bit of seniority on some of these orders, but it will never be that way, at least not until everybody goes back to school. It is full time income as long as you treat it as a job.
@@XlXDiesel2011XlX If you make customers happy then DD tends to treat you better. But they also try and manipulate you to the brink of insanity. It's easier to bear when you realize this. DD doesn't want teens delivering cold food cuz they are too cool to use a hot bag. Pun not intended. Overall DD gets a 3 star from me. Only because it offers a way to make money. And thanks for the info!
I’ve been doing good for the last 3 weeks in Columbus GA on DD. I cherry pick with an acceptance rate that runs from 14% to 30%. I make $900 to $1200 a week working 8 hours a day, six days a week with shopping orders doing the best. I have become very picky.
@@sakennagenea7-119 $5 going 5 miles going the direction I need to go so I don’t have to deadhead. Sitting, fishing, DD alone 6.75 for 3.5 miles. Multi-apping, I take the Spark order out and the DD coming back to the Walmart. Shopping orders on DD $1 an item no more than 15 items $2 a mile $8 minimum. Alcohol delivery $10 for 5 miles. In the past three weeks DD has been keeping me busy. I schedule 2 hour dashes with 30 minutes in between dashes a week out. I liable to adapt and multi app at anytime during the day but here recently I haven’t had to. The 2 money makers in Columbus GA now are DD and Spark. Spark hasn’t been like it was in the past but used in combination with DD you can hit your daily goal faster with lower gas bill. I am lucky to get one or two orders a day on UE and GH that are that good. My decline button is faded and wore out. Lots of trash orders out there
I hit Platinum a few days ago and have seen a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my Offers. I have consistently gotten order after order within a far tighter radius than I ever had previously. Up till now, 80% of my orders were over 5 miles (which is equivalent to 15 miles in NJ due to traffic and lights!). Now I get orders clustered within 2-3 miles almost 100% of the time--usually from a single restaurant per shift! It's unreal how little mileage I'm using and how many more orders I'm able to fill without getting constantly sent outside of my zone!
I did a driving job for a rental car company and you drive the cars to dealerships when car is retired or rental car branches. Also they have courtesy drivers that drop customers off at dealerships repair shops or body shops
Downsize some and eliminate some of every comfortable home life amenity’s into a gas saving vehicle and cherry pick door dash. 10:45 “Cherry picking strategy vs maximize dasher rewards vs multi app cherry picking vs multi app maximize dasher rewards. the basics don’t change of positioning where and when to drive maximizing your miles to dollar ratio.” Love that. If your home is far from hotspots you have zero offers to prospect. If your home is your vehicle then your cherry picking prospects are viable 24/7 You can live a comfortable vehicle life around cherry picking door dash.
I wish we could limit the number of items in shop and deliver. For most stores I won’t do more than 3 items. Shopping takes too much time when I don’t know the layout of the store. Or if they could give us item location like spark does.
Interestingly I've found Uber does a much better job at shop & pay interface than DD OR instacart. But yeah, Spark seems to have dumbed it down best (likely for the scammers)
I'm up to 12% and keep getting messages that I was prefered for this high paying order due to my high acceptance rate and customer rating 😂 .. had a catering order Tuesday even
@YourDriverMike I laughed too, I've been taking screenshots the last 2 weeks, even had a few catering offers... they were the ones rejected... 20 plus miles. I'm in Colorado
Me too! I'm in a small town near Houston, TX. My AR is 18%, I hardly ever go above 30%, and for the last week I've been getting Diamond orders. I see the Diamond graphic and message that says I got this order because of my high acceptance rate and high customer rating. At first I thought it was a glitch, a bug, a fluke, but I'm still getting them days later. I do have 9000 lifetime deliveries, and my customer rating is always pretty high. Of course, none of that qualifies you for priority access, it's only the AR that matters. I briefly had over 50% AR when the diamond program was new, so I know what the Diamond orders look like. What is going on? Has to be a glitch that will probably disappear in a few weeks. Who knows if we are actually getting priority access. I am getting a lot of decent orders.
@nocturnus6 I joke about it... but in all honesty I get high paying orders all day long... our high customer rating out ranks AR by a lot in the algorithm. AR is about 4th in priority. The catering orders for me were new though.
@@TheSideGigGuru Where are you getting this information that high customer ratings out rank AR? There's no official statements from DD on that. I guess you are just speculating. It would be nice if we are getting priority based on customer ratings, because that seems to matter most. I have a hard time keeping a 5.0 customer rating though, but it stays high. I don't have a catering bag, so maybe that's why I don't get catering orders. Also, we still have the diamond program here.
I am a platinum dasher in Houston, Tx and its worth it, you just need to be in a rich neighbourhood where you are guaranteed of high tips as base pay here is $2
DD is the worst. The gaslighting. The cheating. The exploitation. The low payout. And that’s just the stuff we’re aware of. They have no respect or appreciation for their drivers or customers.
@@Blah4444 Not with modern techniques and tooling and restrictions. Only in backwards communist countries. Oh sorry; "progressive" countries it kills your body.
Change the system to driver bidding system. Only info you get is address and bill amount. After certain amount of time the customer will receive the lowest bid and can decide if they want to proceed with the order.
What i do is go by hourly, and take an hour for each delivery. Nobody ever rates me poorly, not sure why, but the vast majority of my orders are 8-12 bucks a pop
But where did the # 1 safety feature go? "Navigate on accepting order" Now you have to go through multiple screen loads to get to directions when you get an offer just to get directions. So unsafe. The app has become so unsafe.
My AR on UE is 20%, on GH its 4% and DD is was like 8%. I just got reactivated after a year away I'm just going to keep my plan of cherry picking if I don't get orders on DD there is always UE and GH to fall back on. I used to be solely dd before a customer didn't want to sign for an order and went on a rant and got me fired. I appealed like 6 times the last time for the heck up it really and they reactivated me.
I just can't do DD or Uber I only do like 5% of the orders that come thru I don't settle for minimum wage or low base/tip pay orders. These companies will try to manipulate and abuse its drivers through rigged programs/incentives this 💩 can't fool me I multiapp so it's all good
I keep platinum but I don't get many high paying offers on a good day 4 or 5 on a normal day barely 1 or 2 during the week when there is no peak pay it's harder to make good money. I guess this where the volume part comes into play. I do CoD and alcohol deliveries just not shop and deliver, I do not like shopping . I do dd only gig job. I haven't been curious enough yet to do large catering orders. With the high paying orders I had to travel farther so the pay seems to be the same , I don't put much faith into the tier system saying I'd make more, I don't see it. I was told I could turn off shop and deliver eventually, so I reported the red card lost, not playing that game.
problem with dasher rewards is they will purposely give you horrible orders like 5-10 times in a row which just ends up nuking your AR back below 70/50% in no time. Margin is a must unfortunately..
Just got a iffy order 44 pizzas going 6 miles total payout was 13 dollars from a company double mile ratio but 44 pizzas for just 13 dollars what do you think of that?
I just logged onto Doordash for the first time in 2 years. The order was to go pickup a Dunkin Donuts order. 14 Miles in total for $17/hr. Thats a resounding no from me
Are you activated? Definitely give it a try even if it's just an order here and there when cherry picking it'll help fill in your shifts. I do the same with GH, barely take requests but every now and then I get a huge offer
@@YourDriverMike yes, I used to do it few years ago and just restarted a couple weeks ago I’m at 30 deliveries and is a mf to have to do 70 more for platinum knowing there’s tons of bad offers in there. With Uber eats I cherry pick all day without the mind games lol
If all the clowns quit playing the acceptance rate game the base pay would be higher. As long as clowns take low paying offers doordash won't rase the pay. It's about supply and demand
Peak pay here is usually only overnight and its just mcdonalds in the area that's open, maybe a tim hortons. Also a friend tried signing up and DD is now waitlisted which means the market here is saturated with drivers. If I go out I'll do it during a dinner or lunch rush for an hour and once it slows I'll log off. The estimated time to get an order in an area isn't overly accurate either, it may say 3-7min to get an order but i could be there for 10+ min. Ubereats isn't much better, maybe more offers per hour but a lot is low low pay or crazy distances and a lot less customers on both platforms adding a tip
where I live in California Platinum Dashers have been having problems scheduling. when we go to schedule and select the one we want and try to save it reads error message this time is not available but if it was not available it wouldnt have shown up to select anyone experiencing this
Door Dash is dead in Orange County, CA the whole map is always gray. Only hot spots active is DTLA, Santa Monica etc…even Newport Beach which use to be my go to hotzone is doa.
5:59 - Mike, I want to turn off all grocery shop and deliver but keep alcohol shop and deliver is the "alcohol" preference different from the "shop and deliver"??
DoorDash has shown an example that yes Alcohol delivery had its own toggle on Preferences. My personal profile doesn't show that but it appears it could be its own filter
If you turn off shop n pay, you will only get alcohol orders that are already pulled and ready for pickup. Alcohol orders that you would have to shop n pay for will not show up.
Hey Mike, I got a DUI two years ago and I’m driving on a breathalyzer still DoorDash Ing. I don’t have a drivers license but I have a piece of paper that says I can drive but I have an ID. Does DoorDash ever ask for an update for your drivers license because I’ve been driving, and they haven’t asked for my drivers license
I mean before I got my DUI I had a license and I use that to create my account, but I’m really asking. Do they ever ask you for an update of your drivers license?
No you're punished for not accepting orders where you lose money. Every delivery cost money. Don't let doordash gaslight you on the cost of the car. They're making 32% a lot of there orders but paying 2 bucks. Say on a 80 dollars Chinese food order they make 25.60 and pay 2 for delivery. They moved to an all tip model and didn't say a thing. They are making lodes of money and paying poor people less than minimum wage + cost. So if you 'cherry pick' with a minimum line of minimum wage +cost you are punished. Why is doordash constantly asking its workers at deliver thing below cost?
Absolutely not. I still use it. But only on the side. I’m lucky that in my market I have 2 Walmart’s within 5 miles of my house. I make a killing with spark. I throw on DoorDash while doing spark and if something good comes along all take it.
I ran into a guy using four phones. I said how much you making a night doing that? He had active orders on all four phones. He told me he was making $600 a night. I can't wrap my mind around that. How he doesn't get violations for extreme lateness. Bad customer ratings for delivering cold food. Too many problems that I foresee. But he's doing it
nyc has been having this bug where whenever it gets busy for some reason the system bumps up the average pay by almost 5-6x, it happens only when telling uber ur driving a car instead of a bike idk why lol but its basically a money glitch sounds unreal but it is, the largest pay I've seen for a order is $70 for 9 miles but I've gotten a lot of $45 for 3-5 miles its a nice bug tbh cuz ppl are already working for $20 a hr but having 2-3x that rate feels very unreal lol I even have screenshots of proof of me going and the order is actually there so I'm able to complete the order and have extra money.
The problem with cherry picking is scheduling. I'm Platinum, but I have heard from many dashers in my market the ability to schedule shifts as dried up. Perhaps that's due to former Top Dashers being dropped out of the program?
Drivers are also completely unaware of the times hours are released and that there is an early release and a late release of hours as explained in the app. If a driver doesn't qualify for early release they only get late release access.
@@Link380090 If you are in Cali or NY, you won't get the dash now option. Anywhere where higher pay per hr was mandated. Also if your market is oversaturated, DD may remove the option to dash now. I am also Platinum and do not have to schedule. But my market is also busy enough that if you fell below 50% you will still get dash now during lunch/dinner shifts and pretty much all day on weekends. As map always turns pink to dark red, showing its busy. I'm in Georgia
You lose 1% on your AR (acceptance rate) for every order you decline. It will take 100 orders and an accept to cancel out that decline. AR is based on a rolling 100, and also its based on rolling 30 days to maintain having 100 orders completed. This is of course if the tier program has hit you market.
I’m still cherry picking at the edge of my zone at a high paying restaurant with 10-15% acceptance rate and I’m not missing any of the high-paying order because of my proximity to the store when I get them. I’m there every day and speak with the employee that handles the DoorDash - I’m still getting them all as long as I’m parked in front. it’s funny to watch all the people come and pick up the unprofitable orders after I decline five or six in a row 😂
I’m pissed. I called DoorDash customer support. I also messaged my customer a couple different times and message. Customer support through the app about an over 20 minute wait at a local local KFC because I chose to unassigned due to waiting already 37 minutes. I was told I wasn’t gonna get any reimbursement. I took the next order and quit for the night then I called KFC directly and made a complaint. I asked him for a gift card so I can get my own meal earlier in the day, at least I get summary reimbursement. I was at the customer service when I told him well according to your policy if I had to wait more than 10 minutes, I should get the customers full tip. I said the only options that you give me through the app or to wait or to unassigned the order why am I being penalized when the store said that they were out of chicken, I didn’t have a way to complete the order
DD has never paid full tip for waiting over 10mins . If you call they used to give you half pay, especially when KFC runs out of chicken. They changed it now to you will not get a hit on your completion rate. No longer do you get half pay for canceled orders, from what I have heard. Haven't had one in awhile so not totally sure.
Ive been dashing for 8 year's bro. You can't cherry pick on DD and continue to make money. It doesn't work like that. Please stop lying to your audience 😒. If any dasher continues to cheery pick orders, they will definitely lose their ratings and get knocked down to a much lower tier. The lower the tier, the less money 💰 any dasher will make.
Any 16 year old special ed student high school drop out is capable of delivering lunch so your 8 years experience is not something to brag or be proud about bro.
@@YourDriverMike I am on it and have a 97% acceptance plus 100 on time deliveries . I don't shop only pickup. I still get 2.50 order for 1 mile or 0.8 Miles. also $8 for 5 or 9 miles offers. DMV area.
drive for 2-5 dollars for a couple of miles and bury your car, this can only be done by beginners or people who do not know how to count) Earnings are not what they were before.
Most all Dashers are doing this part time hours to earn some extra income. Certainly there are full time Dashers and yes the strategy is a bit different for that
