@@presidentc4 because most people who play dying light 2 think the first game is scarier probably, don't know why tho i played through the first game only at night on nightmare difficulty and it was easy and wasn't scared at all and that was my first play-through by the by, but then again i played both games back to back cause i bought both on the same day and the second game is harder and i actually have to watch out for volatiles in dl2 whereas in dl1 volatiles are easily avoided and easy to escape
@@scarameowSucksAtGaming Dying Light 2 has improved a lot since the release. When it first came out it was pretty garbage compared to the first game, especially the night time play but where its been at for the past few months now I think it's a great game, and there's still some worthwhile updates on the way. I had stopped playing the game for over a year but now it's super enjoyable
@@presidentc4 same, and some people say the story is bad because it doesn't focus on the infected but if it did it would be boring, after all the first game had focus on finding out how to survive the infected with rais's men being rivals whereas in the second game the survivors, peacekeepers and renegades have all adjusted to the infected because they studied the infecteds behaviour which is predictable, so humans are the biggest threat to humans because of how unpredictable they are
so damn spooky. the atmosphere of the game is fantastic. theres lots and lots to do. overall im definitely happy i bought it. if its still on sale go for it.@@ZeusOnMobile1
I bought Dyimg Light when it was finished and had all the DLC, will probably do the same for this one. Looking forward to it in… another year or two 😅 But the big thing I’m waiting for is coop progression.
I find that the first game was a lot easier to play or maybe its becasue my character as max level with major boosts and amazing weapons. Dying light 2 feels like more of a challenge, bearing in my mind that I just bought the game yesterday.
@@ZeusOnMobile1 Well It took me only a few days to complete the story of the game. I didn't want to rush through the game, as it wasn't cheap. I'd say it is worth it, if you want to play a zombie game with amazing quality graphics and movement, then this game is for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it because the game felt too easy to progress.
@@BananaRamaPartyTimeAllTheTime Ive beaten the game weeks ago, ive got op weapons that can kill volatiles with one or two hits and almost maxed out my character skills. I think the game is a huge step up from the first one. You should get it, if its in your budget and you are willing to spend time playing it to level up and finish the story. it is a type of game that never gets old because its open world with new updates and its great if you want to release stress
I have my game modded with a modpack called darkness falls. Which overhauls combat making it more flow like the first game but keeping the second games feel. Makes the night more challenging. Overhauls parkour and the nightrunner tools to actually make using them fun. Makes the zombie far more difficult nad encourages parkourand to mix it up with combat like the first game. Honestly if you want a more challenging and in my opinion fun experimce try the darkness falls mod on nexus
it’s definitely worth it on pc with mods. i am legion and a few parkour flow mods basically turn the game into what we wanted it to be. war zones all over, bandits vs zombies vs survivors vs peacekeepers everywhere. regular biters chase you, hordes are everywhere, multiple new zombie variants, loot changes, new loot in general, dozens of different tweaks, it’s great stuff.
Man you got me set to buy it in the winter sale. I was on the fence at first, but reading everything this mod does...it's exactly what I wanted in a Dying Light game: companions, faction wars, zombie threat, etc.
I have over 500 hours on this game. 460 hours on my main save file. And recently the cracks start to show in my main save file. I have to constantly start new game plus jn my main save file to prevent it from corrupting. Yeah, The game is great. Its gameplay cannot be found anywhere else. The infected are challenging and fun. Still it has its problems. Some infected and gameplay features need a lot of tweaking. And like i said with my save file. It needs a lot of fixing. So be warned about the negatives. Overall i definitely recommend Dying light 2!!
Nah, me and my friend are playing the story co-op for the first time, I played at launch and he started playing after the most recent update, this is all we have played for the last few days. It wasn’t worth it a few months ago, but it’s a blast to play now
I’ll be honest I genuinely love to play this game just to walk around and kill zombies but I’m also happy to know that it has years of support to improve. It’s still under baked but it’s slowly creeping up into overtaking the original. And you know what if buying these outfits and weapons makes the updates bigger and better I’m happy to. Especially considering their far away from ea levels of greed
Dying Light 2 is an awesome game and I stand by my point that DL2 is better than DL1, but I wish DL2 was more like the thing shown in the E3 gameplay demo, with a better atmosphere, more unique environmental interactions, and a non-shit story.
while the twist in the story is the dumbest crap ever the story wasn't that bad didnt really get what you meant by unique environmental interactions but they fixed atmosphere you can make the game darker then the original dunno why u shitting on it so much even after so many updates that fix most of the complaints
@@steamsteam6331 The story was okay at the beginning, but the ending was stupid and cliched. I dunno why did they go with the "find your sister" stuff instead of the battle for the water. And if you wanna know what I mean by environmental interactions, go to the E3 gameplay demo and check out 3:37, 5:14 and 5:36 timestamps.
@@steamsteam6331 it's not about just making the game darker it's the details, way more buildings in E3, the retail map is an ai made copy-paste. How the map hasn't improved one bit or the terrible weather is astonishing, techland are either lazy or extremely incompetent morons.
I have 144 hours and still haven't finished the main story, just been casually making slow progress whilst f***in' about, ya know. 👍🏻 There was a time when I didn't know if I'd ever go back to DL2 cuz of the disappointment but it's been hugely improved and we're still getting more stuff, including GUNS. Yes the Bloody Ties DLC was super lame-o and not what any of us wanted, but Expansion/DLC #2 should be well worth the wait.
Honestly I bought it on my steam deck after just beating the first one last night. Played two hours of it and I've decided to refund it. Just seems more like a RPG then anything. I can see why others liked it but I think I'll be going back to the first one instead.
I was and have been wondering about dying light 2 for a while now having bought and currently playing the first. Watching you video and the previous gas restored my faith in it. I look forward to playing this game
Theres no issue with the dying light 2 store with skins because the cosmetic items are cheap unlike games like cod where one operator skin is gonna cost you a whole 20 in dying light its ust 5/10 dollars.
Im gonna be brutally honest. From a pure gameplay standpoint, you are genuinely lying to yourself if you're saying the 1st game is better. It just isn't. Mechanically, this game was already better than the 1st in terms of combat and parkour. After the good night good luck update, physical parkour as a whole in this game is miles better than what we had in DL1. The gore is even better than the 1st game now. People keep talking about replayability in DL1, but outside of BTZ, there really isn't much, even with all of the DLC, and this is coming from someone who has 500+ hours on the game across multiple platforms, Im already close to surpassing those hours with DL2. And let's not act like the bundles in DL1 didn't fking break the game, some of them were just flat out OP and annihalated any semblance of balance in BTZ, yet now it's a massive issue in the game with no PvP? The only thing objectively better about the 1st game is the ragdoll physics, anything else is purely subjective (I already know someone is gonna say guns, they made the game simply unfun and broke any sense of difficulty the game has even on nightmare)
Hey, friend, so do you think it's a good idea to buy the game? I played 1 and was very interested in 2, I followed the updates, and the game seems to have suffered from the same thing as cyberpunk when it updated to 2.0, it got much better after a while.
it's a bit surprising to me these games have found life as service games, i played through DL1+2 both as a discardable single player campaign and see no reason to come back
It is worth trying out if you never played it, i pre ordered it and played it a lot because i loved the first one but now even with updates and events i still feel betrayed and by my perspective i dont think its worth it
i would not agree the way you compare between two game, basically it is pointless. Dying light 1's level of design is just unique, NPCs dialogs are natural and simple, it feels that they really have been there to live before the breakout and there is so many small detail that make me feel like this is it, a post-apocalypse world, it feels isolate but lively, the light is dying but it still bright and strong, that how the city feels like. Dying light 1 and days gone are only two unique and perfect masterpieces about post-apocalypse imo. DL2 is good but not a good post-apocalypse game, it feels like open world dark soul with baby difficulty.
Why cant a game just be a game? Why does everything have to be a live service with a roadmap? Still gonna pass on this mess. Your ending Prey music brings joy though :)
Im gonna play it on friday when my gaming pc is incoming, been awhile. I always had to play on 8gb ram but my laptop cant handle it so sadly I had to delete it.
MTX arent inherently bad I would argue they are even good, it gives the devs an incentive to prolong the post launch support of the game even if it is just adding in some quickly made weapons/cosmetic assets.
Seriously, having a gf that has a PS4 10 feet from mine, was a huge advantage, before any of the updates make sure to duplicate tons of rare trophies unique ET cetera, all of the important materials qnd now with the ability to upgrade legend level well let's just say I'm level 57 by choice, I could easily max out if I wanted to, nevertheless wheres the fun in that I have 217 hours currently so I haven't just cheated my way to progression, watching them fly extreamly far distances all of those fun things and the game is definitely harder especially at night I easily burned up all my materials just trying to make uv sticks so the duplication really doesn't matter anymore as I am out of all those original materials , anyway the point is the weapons and blueprints that you get just playing the game are awesome and no need to buy with real money especially on New game Plus the damage that I'm getting from these weapons that come from the crates and just doing the bounties are awesome, and the latest updates are spot on finally turning junk into resources being able to get out your player the way you see fit again awesome so the game is definitely not on the level of the first dying light however given thier track record with the first game I'm sure they'll ve making sure this game gets better and better without a doubt being one of the few developers that actually give a shit how about the product and those that support their game unlike you know some other developers Activision EA ECT so yeah game is worth it it's fun and one thing they have nailed in these games is killing zombies just never gets old for and is just as fun as the next and the many to fallow
Bought the 2 on ps4 when I enjoyed the first on PC. I remembered thinking Im safe. After seeing them climbing , stumbling... That was the detailed that made the difference. I just started the second one on ps4 and man, the streets are empty, zombies arent terrifying not even a bit. Hope I can add some patch too on ps4
I pre-ordered the game and got about 30 hours in when suddenly the audio kept dropping out. I was disappointed for sure, but knowing Techland's dedication from DL1, I knew they would fix the problems. I put the game down and waited. I started a new campaign a week ago and WOW! Techland really has done a fantastic job. I'm having so much fun. Thx for your video and thank you Techland ❤
