Elon is a businessman and he's not going to anger bankers or challenge their power. On a personal level, like most rich people, he continuedly borrows against his assets to get cash without paying income tax, as loans are not income. No friendly banks, no loans = failure.

In case you missed it. Elon has pissed-off Disney and told Isner to F-Off,. He also is bank-rolling a lawsuit against Disne. He also gave Delaware the F.U. and moved Tesla to Texas and is doing the same to California (Governor Newsom) as he plans to also move "X" and SpaceX to Texas. I don't think he is going to compromize his beliefs for anything much less money. He can sell a little of his holdings or put it up as colateral. There are plenty of banks that want his business. I don't believe anyone who gets in his way profits from that position.

Chips were invented and patented in the USA. We outsourced what used to be less profitable. We are building MASSIVE chip fabs in the US now.
