I’m not in US, but Spain, and I’m already planning to move to another bridge country to change my residence and tax residence, and then also give it up… because taxes here are also insane (plus low income rates). Be a perpetual traveler and pay no taxes, use Btc and Monero, no kyc bullshit, no cbdcs, no health mandates of any kind, that’s the way. And! If u really need a residence place and don’t have the money to get the second passport, just check out places like Cyprus, Georgia, Paraguay… mostly no tax from foreign income, including crypto
so let me get this straight... if you have to pay unrealised capital gains and all your money is in crypto, you will be forced to sell to pay the tax, correct? so then , eventually, your crypto holdings a diminished every year while the whales suck up this tax squeeze ?
Many European socialist countries have tax on unrealized capital gains. However, if you go minus the next year, they won’t adjust for that, which means you could pay tax on the same unrealized gains several times, which could eat up a large portion of any gains if the price oscillate up and down between years. This tax is a socialist phenomena, and as long as republicans like Trump stay in power, I doubt very much we’ll get this tax in the US. Great video as always. Thank you

Well... I completely disagree with you about the unrealized capitol gains tax getting passed m8. My reasoning is Simply = Greed: The politicians required to vote for it, would also be hit hard, and they have no tolerance for pain and sacrifice for ANY reason, ie: "There is no Honor among Thieves". So I suppose they're trying to sew division and discontent, but to what end, I have no idea.... Perhaps they want more violence or civil strife, to enact "emergency powers" and rid themselves of pesky problems like elections ~ I don't listen to what they say, I just look at what they do. And I don't see them doing ANYTHING that hits them in the pocketbook

A good answer to the capital gains tax on unrealized gains is to create a CRUT. You do good for the world by donating your money to charity(when you die), and until then you get a certain percentage of it every year(depending on your age and marital status). The money grows tax free in the CRUT. As long as you keep everything ltcg you can take roughly $50K completely tax free/year if single or $100K if married. This assumes this is your only income. If you have crypto with huge gains it is something to think about. If you happen to live in a high tax state you can create the CRUT, sell your crypto, then change to a no tax state. Then the disbursements each year are not taxed at a state level. So the combo of the ltcg and no tax state you can literally get ~$100K of disbursements each year completely tax free. The magic number for a married 52 year old couple to get $100K/year tax free for life is around $1.5 million. And you do good for the world.
The idiotic tax on unrealized gains will not pass. Dems would need control of both house and senate which is very unlikely. Also it would likely be capped where it might start at 5 or 10 mil gains threshold. Please let your wife speak instead. I can't stand you. But nice fear mongering.
I like Monero as well. It is unfortunate that BTC isn’t private, but the new membership proofs replacing ring signatures on Monero are gonna supercharge privacy. Seems like the only real way out very soon will be Monero XMR.

Not if TRUMP has anything to do with it. If anyone in crypto is voting for Kamala I'm not sure why you're in this space. Everyone should be aware that all of our/your info is out there if you have done anything on the Internet. They have it all.
Trump flip flops religiously; his previous admin tried to force KYC and he was came out against bitcoin at exactly the same time as Hillary did (very suspicious). He's also backed by people who want to turn USA into a christian version of a sharia state, which Trump obviously doest give a toss about personally but he may appease his backers as far as he can. Not to mention the election denial aspect. There's more than just crypto, and he's not even solid on that. Only RFK is positively crypto friendly, and he's also out there.
