Is Final Fantasy X On the Nintendo Switch Worth It in 2019? Final Fantasy X For Nintendo Switch just released, how does the FFX Switch port compare to the other releases of the Final Fantasy X Remaster ports? In this Final Fantasy X HD Remaster Review we'll look at why Final Fantasy X / X-2 is worth your time. Final Fantasy X is one of the best JRPGs of all time and the Switch port is actually pretty good, albeit a bit overpriced currently. We'll look at final fantasy x switch performance as well as final fantasy x switch vs ps4. In terms of settings Final Fantasy X on Switch falls in between what looks like the PS3 and PS4 remaster settings, which is really impressive for the Nintendo Switch.

Great review, played FF X & X-2 when it came out on Vita, never really finished it due to it lengthy quest, eventually I sold my Vita copy, now that it sowed up on Switch, I think I will want to give it a shot again, but probably will wait for the price to drop a bit first before picking it up. Also since FF Zodiac Age, is just around the corner, I think I want to play that first before coming back to FFX & X-2, once again thanks for the great review, and take care.

i have it for ps2, ps3 and ps4, love this game 100000% just got it on the switch and LOVE that i can take it everywhere to play, in bed, in the car when hubby is hogging the tv. SO WORTH IT

The touch screen functions aren't new to the Switch version. They excited in the Vita version. Technically you're paying for 3 games in one package, X2 Last Mission is a dungeon crawler. Sad people ignore it's existence because the remasters was the first time it had a English release when it was Japanese exclusive on PS2.

As a huge fan of KH (hope you enjoyed 3 btw) I'd rec Final Fantasy XV for its similar combat and heartwrenching story. Yes, there's flaws but it's my fav game in the franchise and you can grab it super cheap now

If you’ve played re:coded for Kingdom Hearts on the DS, the Coliseum level uses the turn based system that should give you some idea of how turn based works. Even Pokemon is a good way to get a feel for turn based.

I need to get this. 6 was the last one I played all the way through because I was a Nintendo guy. It was amazing. I failed to play any further. I have 15 sitting on a shelf and I’m afraid to play it because I played half of 13 and got bored. I just miss the old fantastic story telling and fantasy of the beginning FFs.

@@keithm7004 No. I never bought a PS1. I was older and a Nintendo guy at that point. Then they all just went to Sony. So 3/6 was the last one I played. I played 1/3 of 13 and got bored to death. So I’m still looking. I bought 7&9 and I also got 15. So I need to pick one.

@Loven Tidus because, after every tourny, your stats reset. Grinding becomes a waste, and doing so is only a waste of time at that point. If the stats stayed with you, i'd maybe consider properly grinding and playing through the blitzball at that point, but nah, ill just cheese my way to victory at that point

@Loven Tidus its either reset the blitzball data, or play through another league while still not getting the prize i want -_- as i dont enjoy playing through multiple rounds of no progress, this method is more convenient and easier and its not a cheat code. its just resetting all the blitzball data

I had stop playing that my grandpa died when i was young. So heart touching. Like right now or like yesterday while im praying a rosary because of covid. I kept on crying because i super miss my grandpa, who introducing me this games. I still remembered that i kept on irritating my grandpa so that i can play his ps2. It runs on my mind that i must play FINAL FANTASY X AND X2 AGAIN. BUT I CANNOT PLAY BECAUSE I GOT NO PS4 OR ANY GADGET TO PLAY AND CD. I AM FROM PHILIPPINES. But i dont know where i can buy this kind of games. But i really need to play this to reminisce the past. And play it with love and passion. And to remember my lolo. I shared this here because i got nobody to tell this kind of story cause no one understands me. I want this so bad. Pls reply here

We had this on clearance at my work for $15, what an absolute steal. Ive just recently gotten into final fantasy with the inclusion of sephiroth in smash. Finished 7, just started 8, and at this rate i might as well play 9 too just to see how the games evolve, so itll be a while yet before i actually play it, but for a price like that i had to jump on it!

Me too aside for certain skills (like the damned Jetch Shot 2). Also try to do it in hard mode: sell 1 or more if the Besaid team to other teams and the ex-meh players will become your worst foes.

you have to go the setting and change the region and restart your switch in order for it to change

@@ranmouri5648 by doing so you will change BOTH voice and subtitle/game language entirely. It does NOT give the option for Japanese voice & English subtitle or vice versa.

@@jancukasu you prolly knew the stories anyway, just change the voice of your choice and disable subtitles, your screen will be clean too, i disable map when playing the game and voila, problem solved! I'm just graceful that my copy include all things in 1 catridge, that's is enough for me!

@@ranmouri5648 the only thing I can be grateful of this version is that both X and X-2 are in the same cartridge (unlike the BS of Resident Evil Revelations and the insanely overpriced Bayonetta 1&2 Japanese collector edition) for the JP and Asia version. Other than that, the concern still lies: it's a simpler task for SE to have interchangeable voice and texts *in game* , rather than the unnecessary "new features", such as the off-menu touchscreen options. You're right I've played the game over and over again, but wouldn't it be nice considering this as sort of fan service for veteran or newcomers? It's just a common sense for a JRPG nowadays to have the option (FFXV, XII, WoFF, Ni no Kuni 2, Tales series, etc).

Without too much spoiler: Are there any items you can miss (and not available later on) during the normal gameplay like in FF7 (W Item Materia)?

It's been a while since I played the game, but I think the only missable items in FFX are the treasures you find inside the Cloisters of Trials. In X-2, however, due to its episodic, changing nature, there are a lot of things you can miss in each "chapter". (It has new game plus, though, so you can get them the second time around if you play it again.)
