It may take years to develop a taste for licorice and salmiakki, but once you do, dark candy becomes the clear winner. There is also salmiakki ice cream and I love it😋

I do like turkish pepper and licorice, but I don't eat sweets anymore, but if I really want candy, I usually like licorice or turkish pepper

Hey Family and friend! Loved this vlog, was curious to know if Finland’s coffee taste like licorice.I’ve tried licorice as a child and it tasted like medicine to me, so I’m assuming since it’s always cold in Finland, licorice May be some form of medicine, if that makes since.💕☀️

pihlaja That is, marmalade sweet made from rowan berries (pihlaja=Rowan in english). Or, well, the original 1895 Pihlajanmarjamarmeladi brought to the market by Karl Fazer was made from real berries, nowadays flavorings are used. In Finland, very small children eat salmiakki, which is the (in your opinion) bad-tasting powder in those Turkish pepper sweets. And that mixture isn't even bad, the salmiakki version tastes like salmiakki, and they don't taste bad either, but you really have to get used to the taste.

We have more "tasty" Turkish pepper salty salmiak and we mix that to vodka, salmari=salmiak vodka served cool 😋

Ok, as a Finn, I think you got some of the less popular candy. Suffeli and Kismet are ok, but you are missing the best ones. And when talking about saunas, from what I have understood the saunas you have in the gyms are not used the right way, as you should throw water on the stove, and the temperature should be around 80 degrees Celsius.
