Its an amazing rod to be honest, best rod I have ever used for giant baits to be honest. The rod is balanced so well for giant baits. I really want a Border Patrol, seems like such a sick rod.

Never seen or heard anyone caught one off the moby yet. The mother is the holy grail of swimbaits

You and me both. I’ve seen them on eBay for astronomical prices other than that you have to find someone who is willing to give it up. Please let me know I’ve been on the hunt for the last 3+ years. The search continues for the holy grail 😂😂

@@rhodesianhunter9360 the Pulse rod is the rest is just some other blank. I had an NFC 8’ Loomis EDGE swimbait rod built the Silver Widow it’s the lightest swimbait rod I’ve ever held. Weighs nothing for a 8’ rod

@@Bourger keep dropping fish with those lil hooks . I fish with baits that size everyday for striped bass and hooks that size get lost on the hook set . That's a lot of wood for those baby hooks . But like I said keep dropping fish .

While I have lures up to $160, I will not pay $400..However, handmade baits that can take weeks to make 1 are probably worth the money to big bait fishermen....There's a big difference between handmade baits & mass produced baits

Waste? Literally helping a lure company and catching fish on a custom made handcrafted bait. You don't get better than that. But keep doing the same thing with the same 5 baits and having the same experiences... Swimbaits are a totally different thing. Like the difference between live bait and artificial in Saltwater ...

Yes its a waste of money. Never in a million years can a bass lure company justify 400$ price tag. Its literally rip off but big swimbait guys don't care. As long as its Japanese they will spend racks on it while sucking off the company. Example the Roman made mother chaser 1000 fucking dollars. I don't care about supporting a company like that. Especially when someone was recreating the lure for personal use because he didn't wanna spend a ridiculous amount of money on it and almost got sued for it. And yes you do get better than it. Its called supporting a lure maker who handcrafts and doesn't charge you gold prices. You're acting like the only way to have fun and catch big fish is if you break your bank account. I know big swimbaits are a totally different experience to regular fishing. Its one of my favorite things to do. I barely pick up my normal rods. But guess what? When i first started i was able to buy 5 swimbaits for only 100 dollars and i didn't need any of them to be an overpriced piece of japanese wood. Its a fact that almost all big swimbaits hard and soft are overpriced. Especially soft swimbaits. The prices for certain soft bait are actually ridiculous and they only give you 1. But you do you boo. If you wanna throw 400 dollars down the drain go ahead. Im not gonna stop you or care. Ill stick with my budget baits that work beautifully. Literally my first two fish when i started big swimbaits were back to back 13 and 11 pound snakeheads so its not like i don't have big fish experience.

@ColorblindBullpup disagree with what waste is. $$ for R&D is worth it. Baits proven to work on trophies are worth it.

@ColorblindBullpup the 1000 dollar lure isn't for everyone lol you have to have gear to throw it 16" and like 22 oz lol it's specialized. Pay for the experience just like everything. But you can't say it doesn't catch WR class fish...

Of course its proven to work. Scum frogs are also proven to work. Still doesn't justify the price point and it never will.
