Thanks Geoffrey, great tutorial. If anyone watching was truly paying attention, there was alot of information in those first few minutes of fish catches without any volume even, just watching. Great job, but I think they are all gone. I got a total of six DRT Klash lures from the you guys at Hookup and another place in North Carolina, mixture of TK and K9's.
Thanks dude! You definitely answered some questions I had about it and you were on point from what I’ve already seen from the bait action wise. Actually grabbed the bass color K9 from y’all on the last drop, just put some quads on it but haven’t really had the chance to try it out
I never had any confidence fishing glidebaits/swimbaits from the bank. Really only thought they were too big and meant for lakes with bigger fish. Seeing you fish them from the bank with all that confidence really inspires me man. Picked up a magdraft freestyle, s waver, and Ill be picking up a few more “lighter” glides/swimbait to test out this upcoming season. Dont have a swimbait combo but Ill try getting it done on my 7’2 H Expride B with a curado 150 mgl (probably not the most ideal combo but I dont have anything heavier other than a 7’3 XH expride b and thats a straight up pool cue lmao). “Big” fish here in IL means a 3-5 pounder but they are few and far between. I’ll still give it a shot and hopefully get better. Thanks for the content man can’t wait to see future videos from you 💪🏼
When I first bought tk’s a d K9’s. I thought the only good way was to glide it. Ended up trading mine. Then I just decided like a year later to give it another shot. Someone told me not to fish it like a glide and to always have the lip in. First day out I broke my PB. I will say stock TKs out of the box go deeper than that. Watching them on my live scope they Will crank down to 8 feet and that’s about where they sit. With the wide lip you can get 11 to 12 feet. With a short lip I believe you can get 5 to 6 feet and with the YTMK Lip it actually goes up to 6 feet. If you slow it down obviously it doesn’t go as deep. But I got into this bait in May of this year, and I haven’t put it down. I’ve caught more fish on this than any other swimbait. I am in Massachusetts and even now with the water around 37°, I can still catch them sometimes
I lost my stock k9 lip before getting a TK so I can’t compare, but I have wide k9 lips that fit perfectly into TKs and tk stock lips that fit into the k9…….are they all the same for both lures or are they really scaled down for the TK for the same style lips?
I personally get bit more on k9 than tk not sure why that is but just way it is for me I have thrown for hours switch to k9 bam get bit Great Video!!! Cheers!! :))
Yeah, sonically, I have caught more fish on the K9 but everytime I pick up the TiK, I catch fish on it. It just depends on when and where you fish both baits!
Bro I am freaking out! I have never been able to find the Klash 9 low float in stock EVER, and while watching the video I checked a few places, everywhere out of stock, and I checked the hook up tackle, and they had two colors left in stock in the low float. US Carp, and US Trout. Not only that, they are on sale for $101!!!!!! I ordered one of each. I am sooo freaking stoked!!!!
I had one of the originals. Sold my klash 9 for $300 2-3 years ago and have been missing it ever since. I literally just ordered one from a website. I got my fav color #256 and can’t wait to throw it. It’s by far my favorite glide bait but so versatile
Another banger! As always Geoff, super informative I learn so much from your content. Can’t thank you enough for sharing all this info. Until now I was fishing my TK in one mode in familiar with the other modes. So thanks man. Would you mind telling me the color names of the 3 baits you showed? The black, white, and the translucent color with the red tail? TIA Geoff I cannot find the color of the TK your holding up to the camera at 4:23. Please bro, what is that color name?? Lol
Great video. You mentioned that you only really use the low float version. Have you found that weighting the hi float to get it closer to a suspend messes with the action too much? I’m still experimenting with weighting my TC and trying to figure out what works and how far I can push it.
I don’t weight the hi float, if I wanted a bait that was slow float I would just use a low float TiK, the hi float for me is used as a wake bait personally
Dude - Great video! I can't believe it took me 2 days to get to watch it, my bad!!! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these to try in 2024! After hearing that Phoenix had success in MN with them, that's all I need to know! As a Northern angler, our bigguns are 5, 6, 7 lbs unless we fish private spots.... so the 8-9-10-12" swimbaits don't get a lot of bites. This sucker seems like it will be the deal for big bass up north.... I am super stoked to slow roll that thing around with some grenade weights piled on it once the sun cycle starts getting longer here in Pennsylvania. Now it's just a matter of finding them... I can only find the 1.5 oz floaters on TW. Hook up is sold out. Any ideas???
Good luck with the baits man! I could only find the smaller grenade weights while I was in Japan actually, not sure why they are hard to find here in the states though!
Are you guys saying middle lip or minnow lip?! And if you’re saying middle does that mean stock as in not the short lip and not the wide deep lip? Lol thanks
Man....I'd love to get you on a lake I go to south of Tucson. It's 110 acres and has Florida Strain. My best is a 9.9. I'd love to get out there with you and do some damage!!
So many average Joe's on youtube posting videos with titles like "the only bait/method/lure/rod/knot you'll ever need. Truth is, it's different for every body of water, and region. Stop with the clickbait titles, and just say something to the effect of "my top choice" or "my favorite ". Otherwise you're just another garbage channel that I click don't recommend
Idk bro too much of a good thing can be a bad thing love the Kash 9 and TK but with everybody going after the same bait I feel like the fish get to used to seeing it it’s definitely a good bait but it’s really just a tool in my opinion nowadays it’s just showing me where the fish are hidden I think ppl get the wrong idea that just because you buy a bait that’s hard to get your gonna get that PB you’ve been hunting for but true Swimbait fishermen know it’s not the bait it’s the fisherman 🤷🏾♂️
Thanks dude! You definitely answered some questions I had about it and you were on point from what I’ve already seen from the bait action wise. Actually grabbed the bass color K9 from y’all on the last drop, just put some quads on it but haven’t really had the chance to try it out
