Wh.ere i live i catch 22 and 23 even 24 inch bass very regularly,on 4.79 a 20 pack trick type worms on a dropshot.i do own a couple of more expensive glides but catch more numbers and just as big on cheap finesse type worms.
Man that’s brutal. That hinkle snap off made me cringe. I’ve had a K9 snap off on a giant northern strain 8 trappin- I can only imagine the pain of losing that hinkle
What kind of knot were you using when you broke off the Hinkle Trout on the hook set at the beginning of the video? Were you using a Palomar, Double San Diego, Double Uni or some other kind of knot? Check out the Tornado HH Knot from Sunline. This is the only knot I ever use for swimbait fishing. When tied correctly, It is 100% straight strength. I trust this knot with my life!
Almost that time of year. Btw isn’t there a sunken fence where you snapped your line. Also, I know by the marina lies very expensive baits. I’ve witnessed a few go down where that biggun was caught.
To all the Scopers out there....THIS is fishing...Angler vs Fish....maybe he scopes off camera... who knows...But this video he's using his own skills, talents, and techniques to catch bass...Great video! I'd have to consider him the best big bait guy on you tube...Big bait addiction is freakin' real!
@@kevinatwell9781they swim damn close to the originals. My buddy has a actually Hinkle And they swam pretty much the same, my ko had a bit of a wider glide because it didn't have any paint or clear coat on it. I just fished it out of the package.
I have a shimano tranx 400 8.1 and a daiwa prorex 400 8.1 baitcasters. The Daiwa is way better in every way. Has almost 2x the drag, cast way farther, is smoother, line lays better, has mag control impossible to backlash. Has the t-wing levelwind. Im throwing big swim and glides with 50 ld power pro. Daiwa better in every way. Using 7'6 EGlass heavy action rods on both
EXACT reason I gave up fishing for LMB and now only fish for Stripers & Musky. I still catch some LMb here in the midwest, but now they're 4-6+lbs or a ridiculously aggressive big spot, but after you see a musky flare its gills and take a huge glide bait or catch stripers on top / on a glide bait it ruined me throwing normal or "finesse" lures... Its like 'hunting' and fishing mixed. So what if you don't catch a fish all day or only have a few follows or a couple misses. Its worth it.
I checked your youtube channel and saw your number of subscriber is very high compared to your likes comment views are very less and your seo score is absolutely zero if you do seo you will see better results if you have any questions you can ask me.
Nice review on these rods. I've fished Dobyns, F5 and Leviathan sb rods. Been wanting to try a LDC workshop but might just scoop one of these. Not sure how I feel about the spiral guides tho. Does LDC make the standard issue with out spiral guides?
Yoo man so recently Iv been tossing the klash ghost on the workshop xxh. Do you feel like the standard issue has that little bit extra strength in certain aspects of fishing it vs the workshop? Dope video as always man keep it up!
Just to preference, I have never used the workshop XXH, I have used the XH though and I would say the SI rods feel more parabolic and strong throughout the blank than the workshop rods
@@crazybassfisher so where do you find that the 8ft xxh excels over the 8’6 xxh or vise versa? I’m gonna give the SI a try but just hung up on lengths. Leaning on the 8ft because I don’t really ever see myself bombing a ghost in open water for the way our lakes set up.
Saltwater requires no license but freshwater some locations will. For example, part of the tama river near where I live will require but from what I heard they do not check very often. I went to a local shop and the owner told me that this year I can continue to fish no problem because it was already August because the license is from Jan to Dec so I would lose out on half the year but still pay full price. So he asked me to buy next year.
Just for your information the over under wrap on fishing rods came about by a man named Doug Hannon who at the time in the 80s had 500 bass over 10 lb . There is definitely several reasons why to use the over under rod only one of which you touched on . Sometimes you just got to give credit where credit is due
