Recently found this channel and am loving it. Real life in Russia through the eyes of someone living there! My interest in Russia and learning the language is because my daughter in law/grandson are Russian. I come from the PNW in the US and there are big Slavic communities there. My precious daughter in law has about 50 members in her extended family. I have tasted lots of Russian food, gone to many showers, weddings, ect. The food tables are amazing!! So much. But the regular dishes are high carb, salty, and pickled. My daughter in law jokes and says Russians have created a new food group, the white group: bread, noodles, rice, potatoes, sour cream, and mayo lol!
Minute 12:23..Umberto Tozzi un bravo cantante italiano , that tune is "Ti amo" and takes me back to my younger days back in 1977......what a great evening you enjoyed over there mate.....another great video Sam.....cheers
well, Italian's cuisine show cooking by the lake... it's a bit unexpected, honestly. Pizza looked very well done, and the Matia Bazar plus Tozzi as soundtrack very very very early 80sh. . But your girlfriends are always stellar 🤟🏻 Btw, I love Matia Bazar😊
Hello Sam! Great event with nice food and people, but even if I am Italian, I only eat spaghetti sometimes and with a spoon and fork! 😢We don't have only spaghetti or pizza. My region, Piedmont, is famous for the best hors d'oeuvres and I love them so much! Thank you Sam for another great video. 🍀🌻🪻🍀
Great event Sam. Thanks for sharing this. The itw with the chef was very nice. Would have like to know more about him and his stuff with cooking. Food is THE topic uniting the world and it is the essence of the culture of each part of the world. By the way, I noticed there was only two or three overweigh people in this culinary event... Quite revealing. Your videos are among the best to show the world life in Russia. Seriously. With grassroot events like this one. Thanks a lot.
Thanks Sam Your videos are very interesting and show the Russia we don't ever see. P.S. I've watched all your videos for the past 6 months or so. They are great.
Sam I'm on a seafood diet, I see food I eat it, lol. Even though I'm 67 now I still have a quick metabolism and my weight hardly ever gets above 70 kilograms and I'm 170cm tall.
Excellent Adventure Sam!!! It was very nice to see all those people coming together like that!!! Very well done 👏 😊!! Loved the video!! So happy to see Russians having a good time!!!😊
Great event, and video. I am one of those people also Sam. (Wow a Lada with matching green roof rack and wheels.) Fun fact; ‘Pizza’ means the cinema reel or movie reel that celluloid film was rolled around for playing in picture houses. I had no idea the football was still on. In NZ a guy chopped his finger off to take part in the Paris paraolympics.?!!
Let me tell you, compared to US, food in Russia in restaurants has such a wide variety and indeed does taste better. In US most things are fried and are not very appetizing, something to just fill the gut. Yet things like sushi, pizza, and tons of multi-national dishes are better in Russia than in US. You have a lot of variety from really good tasting fast food to plov and dolma. And also I have tried this on myself, fast food is indeed fresher, never frozen and more tasty than in US. This is coming from someone who lived in Russia and in Seattle. KFC is dog crap in US, whereas Rosticks aka KFC in Russia is just bussing and the menu is quite different and yet better in Russia. No one wants corn bread and old mashed potatoes, KFC in US is probably the worst franchise I've tried. If Trump loses, I am coming back to motherland for the food and the woman lol HOWEVER, what I just said above will mostly only apply to big cities in Russia aka Moscow, St Pete, Ekatirinburg, Voronezh, Samara, Krasnodar etc. Elsewhere it may be just okay and cooked by a local babushka lol
Hi Sam, I see they only entrusted you with plating the potatoes. Is an event like that expensive to go to? Or like the regular cost of a meal? Have a nice day and see you next time. 😸
I don't think the song will get you demonetised Sam as it's a cover of Boney M's "Brown Girl in the Ring" Looks like a great event. Food looks Well Pukka too.
Here in Canada under the vid, every restaurant started to deliver....even the fancy ones. So years on now, it still exists so we can get everything you ate there and an extreme amount more to our door in 1 hour max. That chef is making bank, 25 dollars per seat and the people help you make the food....all the food is the same basicly....that is a restaurants dream.....
my house is put on sale Sam....... should i pull the trigger and move to Russia? i'm kinda scared, going alone to an unknown country, i HOPE i don't to go broke there, PLUS i have no skills or talent.
@@Olga-de3ru i don't want to live in the west, and i don't want my kids forced to recognize 72 genders, we have children at school watching a TRANS man in lingerie, stripper clothes doing pole dancing in front of the children, and also story telling books about transgender children, to your normal kids. I don't want to live in this type of society, and i don't want to live in a country that is part of world problem, creating wars all over the planet.
There are only two original Russian dishes: kasha (cooked whole grain) and okroshka (cold vegetable soup) all other dishes are adopted from the West or from the East.
Hello sir, Nice video indeed! and could you please tell me about the Synergy University for a while? and Do you recommend Synergy University for foreign students, especially for the preparatory and bachelor programs? some people told me that the Synergy University is totally scam! thanks
Maybe a bit snobby for me, or as you say boring, but nevertheless looks nice. At the end, what matters is if people are happy and those people were enjoying it.
I generally didn't like Russian food while I lived there. Except their blini (crepes). I ended up eating mostly at foreign places after being disappointed with Russian fare.
There are lots of nice Russian foods. Russians are big on smoked fish. Next time you come here, go to one of the many beer shops or supermarkets and get some smoked fish also try some caviar, I prefer the salmon one, from Кета, it’s the best one. Also try сырники, they are a breakfast made of fried cottage cheese.
Hey Sam. Is there any way to go to Russia if you are not already a millionaire? You're always looking for fodder for a video. I can't be the only non-millionaire watching. Thank you!
@@SamsRussianAdventures You have to be. Its $30,000,000 just for the visa. And the cost of living is so high, you would need to work like 1,000 hours a day.
YOU KNOW SAM RUSSIAN PEOPLE DO NOT LAUGHT EASY. BUT LOOK AT THIS VIDÉO AND YOU WILL LAUGHT FOR A LONG TIME THEY ALL HAVE PORCH FOR THEIR CAR////RUSSIANS ABOUT DECENT PENSION \\\\\
