Yeah, I'm pretty sure a solid chunk of FOX games are still broadcasting at 720p. It's become reeeeeaaaaaalllly noticeable as 4K TVs have become affordable.

Probably incredibly unpopular here, but I want to see the back of Aikman and Buck. As a play by play Buck is dull and lifeless, especially if it's a team he doesn't like, like the Giants. Yes, those uniforms are damn horrible, we've been telling the team since they released the pics. Bonus points for the next-gen Jeremiahs doing a pitch invasion, another great episode.

Only problem I had with Olsen is he made the controversy over the holding call in Super Bowl LVII SOOOOO much worse by the way he went on and on about it. He wasn't helped out by the director who failed to show the reverse camera angle where the hold was a lot more obvious. He could have made a comment about him disagreeing with the call without making it sound like it was the worst call in Super Bowl history. And the Chiefs playing in Buffalo the weekend Taylor is in Toronto isn't really that big of deal. Her concert is on Saturday night, not Sunday, so she could have made it to the Chiefs game the next day, no matter where they were playing. Before the schedule came out, I was wondering if the NFL would try to arrange the schedule to allow Taylor to be at more games, so I looked at her schedule. It turned out by the time the season starts, she's back to touring the US and Canada, and by that point she only has four Sunday shows left on her schedule anyway, so the NFL didn't really have to fix the schedule to allow her to show up. Not saying they wouldn't have tried to fix it so she could be there. They just didn't have to.

Dumb football question: when you guys watch a football game, what do you pay attention to? Do you watch the line play, do you watch the play develop in relation to where the ball is, do you look at the defense like you do when breaking down film, how do you watch the game?

After Super Bowl LVII, no demotion is low enough for Greg Olsen who ignorantly palavered at the end of the game about the penalty on Bradberry. Not only did he not have a proper angle to make an assessment; not only did Bradberry admit it was a penalty; not only did NFL films prove the call to be correct; but Olsen blabbered the usual nonsense about how officials should let players play and not affect the outcome. If as an official I see a penalty, and if I do not call the penalty, then I am altering the outcome of the game just as much as if I had called the penalty. Such nonsense for the NFL's biggest game deserves at least a demotion.
