Glad to see that my animated space ship sticker may not be gone forever. Maybe someday publishers will be required to produce games in a way that allow them to be available longer than a year or two. Would likely take considerable pressure on Microsoft and Sony. Imagine a day when the excuse that servers are too expensive to maintain will be moot in the not too distant future.

Would be nice if multiplayer games aren't dependent on servers. Back in the day, all multiplayer games were P2P. There wasn't any servers for Doom or Quake. It was all directly user to user.

I’m a Gundam EXVS (Maxiboost On etc) player personally, I never could get into EVO but I can appreciate it and find it unfortunate that it got cancelled.

Is there any Gundam game with a good story? IMO, the second most important aspect of Gundam (aside from the mecha, of course) is the complex, melodramatic plots. You think Bandai, who owns and publishes the Tales series, would invest into story-based Gundam games. It wouldn't be hard to adapt a Gundam-style story into a jrpg.

SD Gundam G Generation Genesis has the large majority of the One Year War summarized and compressed into a game that plays a bit like Fire Emblem. Cross Rays is like it, but is built specifically for Gundam Wing, Gundam 00, Iron-Blooded Orphans, and SEED/Destiny/Astray.

@@JoshRiolu So no original stories? I'd like to see a whole new timeline which originates in video game form. That way, they are not limited to pre-existing events that have already been told in other media. But, I have to admit it may be wishful thinking. As a fairly new Gundam fan, I do tend to think perhaps too much about the potential of the franchise.

There are a lot actually! Games like G Generation Genesis and the PS3 Side Stories have these stories collected, but each has their own release and specific gameplay. My favorite is from the PS3 sides stories with the Todesritter.

@@fattiger6957 Yeah there's no game with its own "Century" so to speak. It's either a new story within an existing timeline or it's like some bs where they interact with a bunch of the timelines or timelines clash together. As an old ass fan here, get used to the potential of this franchise consistently not being met. There will be some "gems" here and there but it can be rough at times finding/waiting for those gems.

@@RayFChung When it comes to the potential of Gundam, I think I bring an interesting perspective since Macross was my first mecha love. Gundam is, without a doubt, the most prosperous and prodigious mecha franchise. Despite my issues with it, I know there will always be something new all the time. And there has been so many Gundam series/movies/ovas/games/manga that there will always be something to watch or play or read. Macross isn't an obscure franchise, but it has a pattern of these long (possibly 10+ year) hiatuses between projects. We Mac fans are still waiting for a followup (and hopefully a massive improvement) to Macross Delta which is almost a decade old by now.
