Well considered review of the living space aspects. The higher spec model appears similar to the Coast but lacks the evolutionary refinements. Dealers often offer good discounts on California models so worth checking out before committing. We were surprised our Coast came out considerably cheaper than our planned independent conversion.

The Adria you've just toured doesn't scream value for money. I think Adria is an excellent company and I have always been impressed by their vans, but I think they've missed the mark on this occasion. I bought an LWB Trafic Sport+ this summer. It has everything that Adria has and more, including a reversing camera (except for rear parking bleepers), Apple Car Play, all the electronic safety systems, etc. I bought it from a Renault dealer in the Midlands and it has a full Renault guarantee. It has been converted by an award-winning company near Brecon (Camperholics). It has far more room, masses of storage, a tow hook, a Fiamma awning, an upgraded battery, solar panel, a diesel heater, a pop top (not quite as good as the Adria), and a few quality-of-life modifications such as access to the switches from the living area from an inside cupboard, fire alarm, CO2 alarm, netting for our phones and odds and ends etc. We were able to have meaningful input to the design, and Camperholics gave us loads of very helpful advice. Everyone who has seen the van is very impressed by the overall finish. The total cost for our van was £53k.

We've a traffic as a base vehicle and love it to drive. Not certain on the conversion in the adria personally

I kind of liked the look of these. I've got a Cali Beach which has masses of space, and a full size downstairs bed. It also is a fab headturner as a daily driver. I don't think I'd swap. Can't wait to see the new Sven, I think Roxy will have forgotten about weekends away, it seems so long😎

Damn, got a new "last edition" (=decent spec) VW California Ocean 150bp here in Sweden 2023 for aprox £51000. Guess I got a good deal!

I don't think Adria have put much thought into this van , it's a pity , not much storage at all even though its a bit bigger than a vw transporter, also its a bit pricy especially if you get all the bells and whistles Thank you once again for a great review as usual 😊

nice touches - but somehow doesn't look as 'sexy' as the VW alternative - not that i'd want to pay extra for having more kerb appeal ....

the most pointless 5M campervan in production twin sliding doors just do not work on a van that small unless its a high top and the bed is made up from twin seats in the front..and as for those front blinds they look proper Bob the builder they look nothing more than a cheap ill fitting mess. i mean how can you go camping away for a few days with no storage space to put anything and then a company like Adria to think that is a good idea..
