With contact sports unfortunately contact injuries can occur. One of which is concussion, an injury whereby the brain bounces back and forth in the skull causing injury.
Concussions can be caused by direct blows to the head, but also indirect, for example, a whiplash injury, head hitting the ground, or sometimes even heavy body to body contacts.
