Dankeschön!!!!! That sounds amazing! I am proud of you and my motivation skills! I quilt slow. Partly it is because it looks better when filmed and I want you to see what I am doing. However, I noticed that quality of my quilting increased when I slowed down! and I found that I am actually faster, as I developed a different approach to quilting. I can quilt longer, I am happy with the result, I am more relaxed. Happy New Year, my quilting friend!!!!

This is beautiful. Do you just make quilt blocks and practice your designs. God has given you a great talent. I’ve never free motion quilted just quilt as you go blocks. I’m trying to learn free motion. May I ask what the machine you have?
Thank you for your feedback! I quilt also large quilts, but they are not as good for the video like the ones I am showing. I quilt regular projects, traditional blocks, as well as modern. Sometimes I show them too. I like my video project becuase there I am not restricted by the thread or pattern. I can let my creativity free. I am very greatful quilting became part of my life. It is a bit more than a hobby. My machine is a Janome M7. It is a large sewing machine. I do not have space for a longarm in addition to a sewing machine and this was the best of the two worlds. I had a Horizon Janome before and I loved it. ❤❤❤
That is a good question. I do not know. I tend to make a plan for the first half or so, and after that the project tells me what it needs. However, I am pretty sure that I could quilt the same project three different ways and each would look good. They would have a different character. For example simple straight lines with varing spacing would fade into background. I could use echo lines in each of the elements and the shape of the patches would take over. In my case, I used the color and texture to attract more attention to some parts of the quilt. ❤❤❤
