What was she so angry with you about? You both have to process the breakup first and go through all that pain and slowly let go of the bad memories...It is a process, but this is what the "no contact" rule is for, to help both of you move forward from that pain. A reconciliation with an ex means there will be a new (thus the old relationship be considered as over) relationship between you two where the lessons of the past are taken into consideration in order to resolve it to create a better relationship in the future. Does that make sense? Give your ex time to let go of the bad memories, however, this won't happen overnight and for sure takes time, so don't rush. I broke my promise to heal faster from my previous abandonment trauma that's accompanied by trust issues. Became pushy, clingy, obsessive and angrier when I was met with silent treatment, cold shoulders and push/pull. I became someone that I don't know while trying to get another chance and tried some extreme things to do so.

This really depends on the issue/s that broke you two up in the first place. Sometimes these differences are too big and you two are simply put, incompatible. So if you do have to make some changes, then do it for yourself and never for anyone else, okay? See, making changes for the sake of someone is considered seeking validation, and that's an unattractive trait in and of itself… so it naturally won't do anything to rebuild the attraction necessary to get your ex back in the long run. On the other hand, if these are changes that you know within yourself that you need to make, then it's important to take time so be sure you aren’t rushing it because permanent, lasting changes don't happen overnight and your ex can actually see through it. Also, pain (that's why your ex dumped you) is a very good teacher and motivator not to mention a huge catalyst, so making these changes within yourself in order for the possibility to come back together stronger and better is what you can expect and you will be able to use this progress if not for your ex, then with someone new. You ought to describe your dynamic and what the issue was. Are you saying you've never discussed the issue with her while she was still your girlfriend? If it's a recurring issue between you two, then chances are she's done talking about it because she has already brought up the same issue in the past and sees nothing changing. Hence, the need to give her space first as much as you can. Do limited contact instead and keep any conversation you have strictly work-related. give her chance if you still see being with her. the trick for you to not be hurt for the second time is that don't put too much expectation on her. just love her just like how you love her on the first try but more on guard. just go with flow, if the second time didn't work atleast you already have set youtself in a way that make the second time with her meaningless and painless.

It depends on if u can or can't build trust or loyalty with her if u feel like u can pursue it if not move on to the next 🤷🏽‍♀️🤔

It's a case-to-case basis. Try to observe if she truly regretted her behaviour and if the trust between you two can be rebuilt. Also try to see why the relationship crumbled in the first place. Was one or both of you became complacent during your time together? For some, the relationship comes out stronger while in other cases, it repeats the same pattern especially if the known issues were not addressed the next time around.

Has there been complete time and space apart between you two after the breakup or did you two went straight into doing that? If it's the latter then that's not good as you're clearly your ex's backup plan and based on what I've mentioned, that's one of the pitfalls you should avoid in the first place. Change the dynamic accordingly!

Wait for a better time before interacting with your ex, however, don't wait around doing nothing. @BradBrowning we have been together 27yrs. He has worked evenings for 22 years. The reasons he gave for wanting to end things were me being too controlling, that I put him down etc. He never once said he didn't love me anymore.

@BradBrowning I can't afford coaching. We used to make time for each other at the weekend. Goung out for a meal or drinks. Sometimes, due to my lack of self-confidence, I would push him away. I used to think that he would want someone better than me. Like I mentioned, the issues were that he felt as if his opinion didn't count, that I put him down. He even felt like he couldn't spend his own money. We had a joint bank account. So since the split he has opened a new account. He transfers money towards the bills. Yes, there shouldn't be any feelings of betrayal if you two weren't even dating. Let her recognize that on her own. But if you wanted to give it a try, then do your best to show affection back and see if she softens up. In her heart she felt like we had been "together" the whole time even though I had communicated what I needed to do. I can understand why she feels the way she does. That was 8 months ago and she still gets upset and emotional because of it. She says she's forgiven but she hasn't let it go. 😔

I have to say I agree with you the OP here. Maybe it’s different for guys and girls but how could you get back with a cheater, how could you even look them in the eye or trust them again. On a side note my recent breakup involved a girl who’s lined someone up months in advance of actually chucking me and tbh now I’m into week 3 I’m starting to see this as nearly as bad as cheating. Think they call this an emotional affair. Hoping I can continue to recover and full not want them now 👊
