the players have already come out to say that Thibs isn't running them heavy practices or anything between games. He even gave them the day off after the beating in game 4. As for Burks etc, he hadn't proved trustworthy in the regular season so no-one wanted him to play. Until the injuries, he was running a rotation similar to all other coaches 7-8

Hes a guy who can mix it up has active hands great feet can defensively match up in transition and box out bigs. Plays in the gaps well to stop pocket passes and deny cutters. Offensively if he’s within 15 as the roll man he’s effective. Outside of that he can be a liability. Teams will try to exploit that if he’s not hitting 3s so why give them a chance. He’s in to get stops and apply pressure on the teams bigs as a help side defender or small ball line up. When they want to add size he’s as good as we can get adding in him and OG if needed

Randle went down as soon as Thibs started going further down the bench. It wasn't that long after OG got there and changed everything. Enough Mike. Look at all the players who don’t play as much: Leonard, Paul George, Giannis, KP, Mitchell, dame. Also look at players like Hart and Brunson who are durable. The injuries are due to several factors: hard fouls, people falling on your ankle (bojan, and Mitch). OG pulled a hamstring. Players pull muscles at any time in games. The real argument is how do you win a playoff game when you’re short and that by maximizing your best players. His coaching style defeated Philly and 1 game from beating a young and fast team.

Thibs is a chess player, he’s not gonna let you game plan for his backup plan you have to believe his tell is legit. Every so often he throws a curve ball. If something works he’s gonna keep hitting with it till you counter then he micro adjust till he makes you play out of your game to get a win. If you can trust your guys to execute in that fashion you win, if they don’t execute he got them where he wants them.

The only thing Thibs should change is taking starters out of the games when the game is clearly already won that’s all. Knicks could be up 20 with 3 minutes left and all starters are still in the game

Burks literally did nothing this entire season to prove he deserves at run in this playoffs. Precious played well at times, but during the year it was not until Deuce started that the starters were actually successful with a spread floor. If they played so well, why did we just get blown out by 30 ? They didn’t do anything. The reason is because our team is decimated with injuries and we can only play these guys a limited amount. If our starters aren’t killing it , we are losing because we have zero depth

Doc Rivers only has 1 Ring as a Coach because he didn't TRUST his BENCH players. Even when they were balling out. And yes, Tom's coaching Style has always been an issue. Tom doesn't get the most out of a given players as much certain type of players like his style of coaching. Most likely don't.

I think it’s fair criticism to say that Thibs has a habit of overworking his players, but at the same time, I don’t really think it’s entirely fair to say that these injuries that the Knicks are suffering, are entirely a result of his coaching style. Randle got hurt on a freak play when Jaime Jaquez went for a charge, Bojan got hurt 1 minute after checking in when Batum and him dove after a loose ball, and Robinson’s ankle was reaggravated after Embiid yanked on it. The only player who you can really blame him for his injuries is OG, and he’s been injury prone his whole career.
