Reminder: If any of you already played the game on another platform and decided to get it on Switch too, this is the perfect opportunity to learn motion controls. Particularly if you have completed pretty much all of it before. I mean, why play the same game twice? You could even do it as a challenge, how good can you get with motion controls.
I honestly prefer this version over any other versions, I'm still a little annoyed that the other versions don't get all this other stuff the switch version has
I'm actually impressed that the visual fidelity of the game is not destroyed. I don't talk resolution, but details. I saw just few stuff tuned down - water, shadows (not soft) and some of the effects like air deformation. Nothing else is intact! (coming from PC on Ultra) ah and yes. bit more poppin, but model, texture and lighting quality is there.
@soldier gaming Yeah I don't like it also, but I guess it took lot of the performance so they had to change it. But still this game with such engine running on ~7W APU it's impressive.
There have been frame rate test videos on this game that clock in at steady 30 during gameplay save for a few frame drops to mid 20s. So idk why u can’t get 30 fps lol. Try a frame rate test

I love this game on switch, my sister got it for me when it came out as a late birthday present, haven't played anything else on my switch since I got the game

So the Easter chomper skin that was cancelled is actually in the switch version. Anyone know if the skunk brainz or disco pea outfits are in it as well?

I personally prefer garden warmer 2 more than neighborvill since it has more variety especially in the plants and zombies and it has a more accessible feeling imo
From what I've seen, the issue with the games fps isn't actually the fps, but rather poor frame timing, sometimes they come out to early and other times they take to long. Maybe something is trying to run at 60 and can't? Idk. Also please note I'm not digital foundry so I could very well be wrong.
I think like a lot of fans came from GW2 so in comparison BfN had so little in content and removed the variants which a lot of people loved 😊 But I think if you look at BfN on its own I'd say it's a good game 😊
So far I'm having a blast playing Plants Vs. Zombies Battle For Neighborville Complete Edition and it might be the best way to play PvZ BFN also I think this will be on my top 10 games of 2021.

Do it! I was in the same boat as you but I’ve had more fun yesterday and today with the game then I ever had with the Xbox version. It’s very fun and motion controls change the way I play honestly

Do you think this game will die off like the pc/console versions? ALso I think since you are recording your screen, it is making the framerate drop quite a bit.
I think it will. So if you want to play it but are waiting for a sale, don’t wait a year when it goes on sale because the game will most likely be dead by then. They already said they’re done updating the game outside of performance tweaks. So this game won’t last long
Ngl as a pc player with a 144 hz monitor( I’m used to high frame rates), I believe in my experience that the game held a quite steady 30 FPS in my experience and not 17-26. Maybe it’s inconsistent across users but I was personally impressed by this games performance in hand held mode.
Fair doos, I think on review and someone sent me a link to a FPS test, it kinda hovers between 25-30 😊 I only played like one game in handheld mode at the time of recording, so I assume I was getting lower frames when the Switch is docked - I'm gonna try and do an FPS test on my own system 😁
I love everything they have done except for that they removed team vanquish and battle arena. I know they will be in weekly but I think it should be TT, TV, BA and then the weekly event

That's true although I think it's quite difficult to hack compared to GW2, I personally haven't experienced any hackers in BfN whilst playing in multiplayer on PC 😊 But yeah definitely a consideration if they were to do crossplay 😁
Video idea: oak and acorn and zmech playstyle the upgrades for acorn hardened and slap back so how you want to play is set up your oak near multiple people but not in line of sight and before you set up your oak set up a small sap trap at your feet and then detonate while jumping and you can go flying and I use this to completely confuse the enemy team because I’m behind them also while your flying you can send a huge sap trap and by the time it lands it will have already reached it’s detonation time so you can do massive damage and when you find yourself in middle of there whole team and getting shot at by 4 or 5 people hardened will help you make a escape next way to use zmech is with mech hunter and a upgrade that recharges your mech a little bit every time you use the slam ability and sense mechs can sprint now it’s really easy to get in your enemy’s face and do a slam and missle madness and run into the enemy’s face this is really good to wipe out a sunflower that’s been healing the enemy team or a over confident attack class running through corners also with both of these playstyles it’s important to bunny hop the whole time just to confuse the enemy team. Anyways both these playstyles are so much fun to play and I think you’d have a lot of fun with it to, thanks.

I don’t know if I should get bfn on my new gaming laptop since I had it on my ps4 and it was great but I am worried it’s a waste of money because of the state of the game and how long it takes to go to a match
Me and my gf got this each one in our switch(es), I am glad it is a great introduction for her to shooters and she likes it because of the motion controls, however I am disappointed the lack of co op, we can only play 3 online mode games, although we are sitted next to each other
I think it depends what platform you play mainly on like cause PC players are so used to higher frame rates I think you just notice it more 😊 Or my Switch is broken lol! 😂

Honestly I have no problem with the PC, Xbox, and Playstation versions except for the fact that you have to have rainbow stars which you can only get through microtransactions, to get anything in rux.
@@RedheadGaming well when I play it’s about 80 to 30 ping. But if I’m havin a really bad day it can go over 100 or even worse. But last night when it was 30 I kept crashing. Something ain’t right :(
I really hope that this means the game might get a new update I love this game a lot and I love the pvz franchise but this needs new content it has so much potential
idk I don't think the framerate is nearly as bad as you describe it tbh, I'd say its more 25-30fps (maybe a bit lower in certain situations). It does hover around that 25ish fps more than I would like though. Lets hope for a performance patch or something. I have a hacked switch which opens possibilities to inject cheats and get most of the items I couldn’t get in past games! I’m not on Nintendo switch online tho
Game is alot if fun. I bought it yesterday. Ive drained my switch light a few times now. I also tried it on my main switch docked still looks good. My only complaint. No cloud save . They need to enable that so im not lvl 2 on my main switch and lvl 9 on my switch lite.

The offline is good since without wifi also the multiplayer its 8v8 but it make sense since 20v20 will make it laggy so it worth getting since it's all free
The Switch version doesn't have split-screen like the other consoles, this release was so close to being perfect but this is a dealbreaker for me. I understand that the game's framerate suffers on the Switch and split-screen wouldn't have been feasible at the level of graphics they are trying to push, it's disappointing to see developers prefer higher resolutions at 12fps instead of 480p at a steady framerate.
i played it and it really kinda sucks with no new abilities that u can swap like garden warfare... Overall still a good game but the fps makes me wanna die aiming is really hard..
Why would one of the developers come out and state that the Switch version definitely runs at a steady 30 FPS when it clearly doesn’t?? Seems like a dumb statement to make when you cannot back it up with proof. I guess they figured no one would hold them to account.
Yeah I’m not sure, I think I underestimated the frames in this vid after watching some test footage the lowest it goes down to is 24 but yeah it’s definitely not a constant thirty 😅
My problem with the game isn’t even the micro transactions, its the maps and removal of alternate character types, the maps are cool, but they are also extremely one sided, like preserve pastures, I don’t think i have ever seen zombies win on that map, and them the removal of alternate character types is a problem everyone already knows
Ohh yeah yeah there's definitely some other bigger issues with the game than the microtransactions; lack of new content, removal of variants, balancing, maps like you said and others 😅
So look the good side is that it fun and excited to play the game offline and online for multiplayer and single player. The bad side is that the game wouldn't have any new update and content in the future because of EA shut it down. So yeah let me know what ur thought of this comment.
Yeah exactly, they've made some great changes, but like you say it's a real same there's no new content coming, I think the game should have been like this from the start 😊
You talking about fps like you know what you're talking about is genuinely appalling The game VERY VERY rarely drops below 30 during actual gameplay and when it does it never drops below around 27 and even when that happens it's all but undetectable.
To be fair these were just my initial impressions after playing for like 2 hours, on reflection (and someone sent me a link to a video where someone had done an FPS test) it seems like it hovers between 25-30 😊 However I was finding in my game that I was getting FPS drops, I think maybe because I was playing while the Switch was docked, not sure if that made a difference or maybe my Switch is just faulty! 😅 Sorry I invoked such an aggressive response from yourself, it might have only sounded like 'I knew what I was talking about' because the video was scripted - I am planning to do a frame rate test for my full review! 😊 Thanks for watching tho!
I just hope now that they figured out how to port this engine to the switch. when and if they make a true GW3 it will also be on switch (and I doubt it but maybe no micro transactions but like that’s gonna happen twice)

in my opinion bfn is leagues better than gw2 I personally never used many variants, so them being removed is ok by me also, the upgrade system is great, and can make massive changes to your character its also really balanced in modern times, no character is insanely broken anymore, and its really fair the maps are AMAZING and so is the single player the prize maps where a great idea, and rux is fine, though I'd prefer if he was coins only but this game is great, you should try it if you haven't already well, time to wait for mudshrooz or whatever his name was to scream at me for being wrong even though this is my opinion!
