Now I wholeheartedly agree with this but with one point I will add. There may not be so many rwd japanese options from the 2000s jdm wise but there are so many usdm and euro options that get overlooked. Also the are still a lot of cheap 90s cars, 3000gts, stealths, eclipses, talons, z32's, sc300s, sc400s, 1st Gen wrx, Celicas, levins, mr2s, Subaru svx, preludes, civics, accords, crxs, And then of course the biggest omissions of 80s cars, just so many good cheap 80s cars it'll make your head spin 😂
@@DustinHasVideos oh definitely. Not to mention all the great fwd cars from the 2000s like the Mazdaspeed protege5 and the Toyota matrix. Oh shit plus I totally forgot about all the kit cars you can get like screw saving up for a supra build a Ford gt or gt40
I understand the concern of enthusiast car pricing. Electric cars are more expensive. However electric cars will be what everyone but enthusiasts want. Maybe people can’t get an NSX, but I don’t think there will be a lot of demand for a 370z in 15 years because younger car people will buy electric cars.
Also the takeovers and such. Thats me being a grumpy old man and saying if cars are expensive/unobtainable those kids can't buy them to take part in this takeover stuff. Just some jest but not to be taken super seriously for this post and not the main point. My idea was if a vehicle like that is unobtainable to a basic, they won't be participating in that stuff. Myself and many others who have already established ourselves as lifers when it comes to being a car enthusiast will keep our things and enjoy them to death, whether a scene is there or not. But it wasn't really the main point. A lot of that post continued on in the comments to discussing vehicles that are available and I agree with the idea that what people's traditional idea of an "enthusiast" car is needs to change or will change to continue carrying on some kind of scene. Many of the cars we got were hand-me down used and never considered fun or interesting until a cult following ran with it for a decade or two and made it that way. I would love to see a boom of people playing with Mazda 2s, fits, yaris, fiestas, etc. I even wonder if the sudden boom of lowered single cab Silverados is maybe from the lack of available vehicles and just working with what they can find easily. People will be creative and make stuff happen, and honestly our traditional requirements and what we consider needs to be an enthusiast vehicle are probably way off to what a newer generation will see. This definitely includes EVs and honestly, I'm excited for my weird cyberpunk 70s-80s j-tin with some electric power train jammed into it in the likely near future. And yes Chili's photography is incredible. 💛
