That left stick switching will help a lot with covering runs and passes thats more likely where the skill gap cones in they thought it out well

Not only does the pitch man stutter to mess up his assignment, watch #13 right next to him. He's not even running the right way. Like at all. He's not even running with a receiver like he thinks it's a pass, just straight to the middle of the endzone.

This game looks to be giving off "old" Madden vibes. That is cool but defense might be harder. Pursuit doesn't seem to be good and broken tackles seems to be back to broken "RNG". Excited to play.

You have to remember college ball has nore busted coverage, wider talent gaps etc. It should look a little different than madden. They need to fix the pitch glitch, gap integrity, pursuit and tackling a little but it loooks good.

Looks better than madden and seems like more back on players skill level. I like sim and arcade wish mut had the option to play either one exclusively for H2H. Where you could select what style you wanted to play at that moment.

I really like the way the running looks but I agree with your tweet, I see what you mean with it looking op and defenders missing. Overall, I’m excited just for a change of pace from madden overall. I prefer sim but again, been waiting for this game forever so it will be a very nice change.

Its tough like the game looks great from the first 5 minutes... but now I've seen the actual gameplay I'm not completely convinced yet that this is it. I will have to play it myself and see because there's way too many adjustments to make for 10 minutes...

CFB25 is the closest to a simulation football game we’ve ever gotten it could be the best simulation sports game we’ve ever had.

That option read has always pissed me off in madden as soon as the ball is in the air on the pitch the fs/cb always plays the qb football devs can’t seem to figure it out

9:38 Im confused at what people want. This happens in real life, defensive players miss all the time. I guess from the competitive side the random aspects of football can be annoying but I think from a realism pov this is how it should be.

I wonder if deep zones will work. Last I played an EA game, they didn't work for 5+ years in a row. Only one player in their area, not even a contest on catch. Then despite that, defenders drop 5+ interceptions in the game from bad players throwing into coverage and reddit complains about "too many interceptions" after throwing it into coverage 15 times per game...in one game, outright dropped 9 picks with defender facing the ball, 2 hands on it. I stopped buying and playing years back, game clearly wasn't for me. I'd love a functional football game. It looks like players still don't react to things happening in their plain view though. Top 1000 play is too frustrating, always playing around the things that don't work in the game, rather than route combinations and coverage interactions working as even a rough approximation to actual football. I don't need it to be perfect, but so long as the games have things like "5+ dropped interceptions in one game" and "safety in cover 4 watches a post caught in front of him, with nobody on a streak", I won't make time for it.

Does the new meter also determine the velocity? For example, will letting go of the passing button when the meter is half-full give me a touch pass?

I appreciate how your looking at this from a competitive gameplay angle, but this game will be played more so offline then any madden in years past, and offline gameplay should be fun, not super sim. I think this checks the boxes

This was two weeks ago. Some things may have been tweaked. Also what skill level are they playing on? Defense sucks on anything lower than all American/all pro.

I think the gameplay will be fun but the way they talk about all these gimmicks with lower ovr dline can’t shed and will get pushed 6 yards back every play makes me hesitant

The last football game I enjoyed was Madden 19. Since then they have all been garbage, abilities really ruined it for me they are just dumb like if I wanna play for abilities I’ll go play Mortal Kombat & use those abilities
