Does this mean that Tim will now sit quietly and make faces while Mr. Boo waxes poetic? 😀Great job, Mr. Boo. After 5 months of waiting, I finally received mine this week, and am having a blast! (It is an unreasonably delightful thing to drive).
at last Mr. Boo took the wheel and did it so well, congrats for the courage and nice drive Mr. Boo, and congrats you too Tim for the excellent driving lesson, you lads are amazing.
Well chaps, thanks for that and for the welcome return of Smut to this channel. Yes BDSM IS a German driving school where your driving instructor literally straps you in... Also thanks for cheering me up again, virus ridden and suffering with undiagnosed medical issues your video helps to dispel the blues.
Great to see that you are wearing headgear all the time now! Very responsible and a good role model! 👍👍👍👍 And also big respect for Mr. Boo for facing his fear! 👋👋👋👋
I've been here since you first ever had Elton delivered on that one lovely day way back when and have watched you all ever since and I have enjoyed all of your guys content ❤️ keep it up babes because I absolutely adore you both so so much xXx and send all my love from here in the sunny 🌞 UK 🇬🇧 ❤️ xXx
Hi lads from Spain. Hope Tim is doing as the medics tell him. Don't forget to indicate every time you are going to change direction and don't park where there is a 'No Waiting' sign. Keep smiling.
Good luck getting back in touch with your driving again Mr Boo can't wait to watch more videos with you driving now and Tim taking a nice sit back and enjoying the beautiful scenery around your beautiful gorgeous home town xXx xXx love you guys xXx xXx
Same as me with my van. I have never had a drivers license (despite having worked for a bus company in the UK back in the 90's). Took 30 driving lessons over there in 1991. Never got as far as my test. Using the sans permis opt out, I had a 50cc scooter for about 3 years from 2005 here in France. Which ironically I used to travel to my French lessons 15km away. Bought my van second hand in 2018 from a VSP dealer near Paris, about 35km from home. My wife drove it back (she has a license) as I couldn't face the idea of dealing with Parisian traffic. So I basically learnt how to drive my van around locally on my own. Still in the situation where I've stayed pretty much local and have yet to drive into the next town. So you are both very brave tootling around those busy, windy and steep roads down there in southern France. If I every do pluck up the courage to drive further a field, it'll be worth doing a video about it. LOL
Can't believe that I've actually managed to watch one of ur videos relatively soon as you have uploaded it and such a good one to see aswel with Mr Boo learning to drive in Elton 😊 aww keep it up boys xx
Mr Boo, Chuck Yeager (the first man to break the sound barrier) had this advice when I asked him If he had any advice for new pilots: "Don't believe everything any one person tells ya bout how to fly ah airplane". Perhaps that applies to driving instructors, and everything else to. Tim, you remind me of my first flight instructor, an Air Force combat instructor who never stopped inundating you with dirty jokes, acronyms, questions, condescending complaints, and a yell and elbow in the ribs just the moment you at your limit of mental focus. When I finally demeaned he stop and let me focus on flying the airplane, he would say: 'If you can't keep from killing us me distracting you a little bit, then someday when some little thing distracts you, you're gonna kill everyone riding behind you!". The first thing he taught was not how to fly, but how to overcome fear.
@@MeandMonAmi Lol... Perhaps you can be a bit of fighter pilot school instructor as well when it comes to student pilots who have nothing to "fear but fear itself', as the crippled fat man behind the buck inspired so many by saying.
Love the interesting shadows of you Tim Youre so Hyacinth Bucket..look out for😂 Mr Boo your handling of the steering wheel is excellent. You are much more in control when you turn the wheel as you are rather than Tims shuffling manouevre
Hi guys! Congratulations Mr. Boo! It seems a real pleasure to drive such a cute car! I wish I could drive one one day. I thought of both of you last weekend, as I was staying in the West Country (Crowcombe, Taunton), a beautiful region. Cheers!
Soon Sir TIm will teach us french and Mr Boo will show us how to properly take a corner in Monaco ! The world is changing so fast! :3 :D Confidence is indeed the key so is practice :)
Mister Me and Mister Boo & Elton..well done Mister Boo 🙂👌confidence is everything & the more you drive Elton the more confidence you will obtain..gotta say the conversation about the Egyptian toilet 🚻 was bloody superb..Mister Boo's face was.a picture.!! Another excellent vlog with the double act & The Ami..stay safe and well and obviously stay charged 👍 😉
You don't have to learn French if your Scottish. As soon as the French hear a Scottish Accent they come over shake your hand and say, 'Mon Ami'. Ok! I made that up. I was dying to see Mr Boo turn on the Windscreen Wiper and use the Windscreen Water Spray. Although you have done that before you never showed how it was done. This was a very good Episode and may I say Mr Boo did very well.
He managed to throw a whole bucket of water at Elton the other day having washed it which would have been fine had I not been sat inside with the window open
The first time is the hardest in getting a driver licence! Once you ace the written test and the road test, if you have no record, you can pretty much get renewed every five years for the rest of your life.
There's a lot of video comedy gold in jamming Boo's Mum in the Ami for a three person trip into the mountains???? Only slightly less comedic than Del and Rodney jamming Grandad in the van.
Whatever you do, stop Mr Boo before you get to the Mirabeau corner on the Monaco GP circuit or you may end up like your previous guest as the next hairpin is the Gasworks/Station/Loewe's and whatever they call it now!
I must take the Rocks-e at an shop and nobody want to drive it out, because all of the garage got no experience to drive this vehicle. So without experience to drive without any space out of an parking place at an garage in the city of nuremberg. Was very stressful, at the ride at evening the Rocks-e run out of battery, so I get an story at German Newspaper Bild, because I loaded at an butchers-shop.
So funny a little gnome non license holder in his yellow gnome hat, giving a lesson! The “P” on the dash means “Park” (so basically the cars in park mode and you haven’t selected the “D” Drive mode). Entertaining as ever 😂
My wife constantly criticizes my driving. "You're driving too close!" "Watch out for that bicyclist" "That light was red!" Finally, I tell her, "Why don't you get a driver's license, and then you can drive!" To which she answers, "I can't, my eyesight is too bad."
Nice video - I am enjoying your output a lot. I had put myself on the list a while back for an Ami here in rural Scotland, but when push came to shove, I decided I needed an affordable used conventional car to travel long distances at any hour in case elderly relatives in England suddenly got unwell. But I'd still like one as a second car for local trips one day. It'll be interesting to see if Amis are selling in any numbers in the UK. The 'How Many Left?' site says that initially 87 were sold in the last quarter of last year here, and we should know soon how many were sold in the first three months of 2023. Any idea how many are on the roads in France right now? Considerably more than in the UK, I'd be guessing.
Can I ask, how economical it is, preferably in miles/kWh? I have a Honda e, which isn't very economical at 3.2 m/kWh. EVM's Tesla Model 3 has averaged 4m/kWh over the last 3 years.
I think it's capable of up to 8 miles per kWh. Bear in mind top speed is 28mph (on the level or down hill). If you drove a Honda e at 28mph everywhere you'd probably get much better economy!
Thanks to the RU-vid Gods, I was directed over to your channel as one that I may enjoy, and lo and behold - I DO! I am now a new sub gentlemen! Now, I am going to do something I shouldn't, and ASSUME that you two are a lovely nesting pair just like me and my deceased hubby Sam were (I still miss him terribly...damn AIDS). If my assumption is wrong than I expect to have my Gay card catch on fire and me kicked out of our 'club' lol. I am just starting to go through your backlog of videos to see just what kind of fun you two have been up to as you work your way though southern France (gorgeous scenery!) in your little Citroen Ami - which I love by the way (Citroen doesn't exist in the USA so your AMI is as close as I will ever get to one). What a fun looking little car! Does it have an HVAC system for heating and cooling (AC) the interior or is that even available in this car? Anyway, you are driving around in a beautiful country and hopefully enjoying your lives together as you explore the world and that's all that matters really. I live in SE Arizona in a tiny little farming town with a population of only 1800 people, and I live full time in a large 34 foot class A motorized caravan that I have covered in solar panels and loaded with a large bank of Lithium batteries that allow me to run everything in my RV (caravan) including my AC, residential fridge, microwave...basically EVERYTHING - all off the power of the sun, and especially, the battery system. It's pretty amazing to be able to live off grid electrically while being mobile at the same time in my RV home. I was told repeatedly that I couldn't achieve my goal with my system, but I win - I'm doing it! Alrighty boys, time for this old queen to get my morning coffee and feed the herd of feral cats outside of my door. I look forward to watching all of your videos in your archives and want to wish you both all the happiness in the world as a couple of lovely men that got lucky enough to find each other in this world, and are sharing yourselves with the world on this channel. Bravo guys!
@@MeandMonAmi hopefully my comment didn't upset you because that was certainly not my intention....I think you are both adorable, especially together. As for my RV/Caravan, I have a few videos of my RV and it's solar/Battery system, up on my RU-vid channel, along with mostly music reaction videos, of certain Filipino female singers that I try and promote because they are excellent singers that most Americans have never heard of, so I try and help them out if I can. Stop in and look through my Videos and you'll see whet I am talking about. \You two have a lovey day!
Bomber Harris was not a pilot in WW2. He was Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) RAF Bomber Command. A Rhodesian in command of the British bombing effort. He may have authorised the raid on the German dams but did not fly any aircraft. Just a point of information as they say.
Shame the UK is still dragging it's heels on letting provisional license being able to drive!! Surprisingly for a country that wants people to get rid of petrol cars is so backwards......you would think it was only about the money😅😅
Again, You make me curious about the French rules to legally drive Ami. Is it tuely "sans permis" = E.g. you only need ID to prove your age? Or do you need to go through some formalities first? In Norway, anyone born before 1985 can apply for an AM145 license without training or test. (145 = national code: two wheel moped, without test, born before 1985)
@@adelerobinson7269 (guessing you asked me about Norwegian rules) If you were born before 1985 You can get a driving licence for Category AM 145 without training or a test. Anyone younger would need to do mandatory training for AM146 and a written test. AM145 and 146 give the exact same privilege, but with different requirements to obtain. History: Minimum age used to be: 16yo without training only ID. Then gradually 16yo with training for licence and 20yo without training only ID Then from 2005: anyone 20yo before 2005 (eg born before 1985) had to apply for AM145. Younger need AM146 The reason for AM145 is to sort of require a license, but not require training retroactively. But you can't apply to get AM145 after a violation causing regular license to be revoked, unless the time is served. To drive an Ami (aka 4-wheel moped)'you need AM147 or unrestricted AM
@@MeandMonAmi I think the Norwegian rules for 2-wheeled moped is better. Born before 1985 only have to apply for a license, but it just a simple formality, and no training or test. However, you are not eligible to apply while you serve time for another revoked license (eg speeding og DUI). Then after 80 yo, the license has to be renewed with a doctor's certificate every maximum 3 years.
