As a sixers fan my perspective is to stop going after these aging stars and build depth to our roster, grab players that compliment the coaches style of play.

DeRozan is a bucket getter, but he doesn't shoot 3s and isn't good when he does. PG13 is a complete player, albeit frail. I think of the Sixers offered a 4/180 or 4/190 he leaves LAC unless they add a 4th year max. Offering Paul a max would probably hamper any future team building. Starting at 45M gives them 20m in wiggle room. DeRozan I think you could get him if you offered a 2/60 tho.

If LaVine cost only 3 SRPs I'd be interested. But if you're giving me 65M... Miles Bridges, Tyus Jones, KCP, Oubre, Batum, Drummond all could fit in that dollar figure.

Sam casell takes credit for a lot of things, but why isn't Maxey a better point guard? Why doesn't he have any moves other than the Harden step back? Maxey is a very good scorer and he worked hard to obtain that. There's a reason Sam has not been hired. He's been passed over by his former teams multiple times When they had coaching opportunities. He's overrated. Some guys are not head coaching material. The market place knows his value. Some of the stunt sams has pulled were very self serving. Example after a nationally televised game Sam ran out on the court and physically guided Tyrese through an exercise of how to come back to the ball. There was a play in the game where tyres failed to come back to the ball, and the pass was stolen and the sixers almost lost. That was a very embarrassing moment for Maxey. Of course, the commentator said look Sams doing a great job coaching. Doc Had already barked at Maxey during the game. It was good that Sam reinforced the message. However, Sam wanted everyone To know What he was telling Maxey.

I don’t see Paul George leaving LA. I don’t think his wife and kids would be happy or open to leaving LA either. I doubt he wants to do the long distance thing away from his family like several nba players do especially not to Philly. If he was Dallas or Arizona or Miami maybe 😂. He doesn’t strike me like the type to do that. I also doubt the clippers want to go to a new arena without him. What are they going to replace him with if he walks in free agency? They are keeping harden and kawahi so how can they really contend without Paul George? I think Paul George is using the sixers as leverage to try to get what he wants. I honestly don’t know what the sixers realistic options are at this point. It doesn’t appear right now at least that a lot of the mid tier teams like the bulls, hawks, and nets etc are even willing to trade dejounte Murray, Caruso, Mikal bridges etc. not sure if anything viable for the sixers will even open up this offseason. Personally I’d like to see them get someone like Mikal bridges who we gave away for nothing but will cost several first round picks now and we have no younger players to trade back. We also won’t have any trade assets left so I don’t know. He makes less money too so you can still add more role players. Or OG Anunoby.

@@Chali_M this season? Well that could work for them then. Yet again who would they sign and do the assets to sign someone. They probably might be more of a draw because it’s LA. I’m also confused why the situation is different than what it was for harden in Philly. If he opted out of his contract, he walked in free agency they were out of luck. It’s only because he opted in and asked for a trade did we get that cap space. Maybe I’m wrong but why is it diff for Paul George in this case?

Paul George has not been to the top and never has elevated his game in the play-offs. Nobody wants to talk about Miles Bridges because of what went on with his now wife, however, everybody deserves a second chance. I think he is a player that a thinking GM would look into given his age 26, and he plays both sides of the ball well. DeMar DeRozan was the player I wanted the sixers to get at the deadline, many people think his three point shooting is not good floor spacing for Joel. I don't agree with that because Joel is at the top of the key and at the elbows most of the time.

@@Chali_M Paul George is 34 and his better days are behind him, it doesn't matter what he did when he was young. Miles Bridges is on the rise at the beginning of his prime. Yes, walk away with Miles Bridges and have some more money to add even more to the team. I would consider LeBron James because he has been to the top, and he is even now better than Paul George.

I know this sixers organization and they will get a good enough regular season star player and end up a top 3 seed in the ecf and the fans will fall for all the hoopla and hype,and wont get past the second round,especially if they dont get jimmy buckets.I personally stopped watching the regular season nba games years ago.meaningless.

Nothing ever happens the season, that it needs to anymore, the NBA Draft is not as powerful as it was in the 1980's. The 76ers are not going to get Paul George this year. The hiring of JJ Redick is not going to change The Los Angeles Lakers fortunes at this time. Philidelphia is not going to bring in anyone who will help them win the championship 🏆 this season.
