"He looked around at them with anger, grieved" that's the same way I looked at my therapist when she yelled at me that my mom was "dead" because of her research and knowledge... I looked at my therapist with eyes like "You are evil! How could you do this and think this of someone who is not alive still?" and I cried and shook my head and ran out of her office. This was before I knew Christ and I already emulated His Highest Grace and I am so proud now to be one of us many Christians! Amen!

John Piper is such a pleasant person. The way he speaks and carries his voice brings peace. The Lord bless him and keep him.

I love this video. I know I may not be in this kind of religion, but what made me feel emotional is the part where he said that you should be angry onto sinful things, but not on little things that are simply just little, or otherwise accidental mistakes (broken clutch, overcooked steak, movie scene with non-sense dialogs, etc.) but I don't know how, but oh my gosh, did it litterally just sponged me in tears! Because not only it's a good thing to hear or such, but also it's so true!!!! Nearly 100% of the time, there will be times that us humans need to realize that every little mistakes we see in our own eyes or even brains made by many different people, is just simply nothing! What's the point of having such stone hearted anger? That's something that I wish every one of us humans have that kind of habit. It's so sad how beyond angry us humans can possibly be against even little tiny spec of mistakes. It's just unreal how we can be...

It's not sinful to be angry for something righteous righteous anger. And when Jesus was flipping over those money tables he must have been not sinning because he is incapable. But he not only yelled at them and anger but he was physical about it to the point of tipping over the money changers for making his father's house a den of Thieves so he had a good point I mean a good reason. And we can too. He did not hit anyone. And then there's looking up Hebrew or Greek in the word anger. I like the King James version of it cuz it sounds like everything they do has a type of richness to it like Shakespeare

For me anger is harder to rid myself of than any other sin we commit. I’m always on the road and the amount of people that tick me off everyday is astounding. Or at Walmart when people bring their whole family and take up the whole isle I’m trying to walk down. As a sinner I prefer to live alone with the animals and never talk to people. As a Christian...I am to let my light shine and talk to people about Jesus for to give all the glory to God. Whoever reads this, please pray for me.

Well I'm trying really hard right now because I'm pretty angry. However, I'm sure that God understands we get that way sometimes so I'll feel the way I feel until I don't feel that way anymore and in the meantime I'll repent and ask God to help me to do better thank you for your video.

Love what God loves and hate what God hates. Anger will come over you when you see what’s happening in this world and around you. Give the anger to God; his wrath will soon come to those who continue in their iniquity. Amen

Amen. Great message. Ephesians 6 Our battle is not against flesh and blood but demonic forces. I needed this message for my work environment. It appears that demonic activity is increasing because people at work are talking crazy to me. I talked to HR Department about it but I was upset. Romans 12 God will take revenge. I also need to pray for them

Same thing happened to me its why I left my job. Even the one guy I thought was good started cursing and trying to annoy me. I had to leave too bad I got angry and lashed out. I have to go ask God for forgiveness.

I think we are allowed to feel and process our anger. Too many well adjusted people like to say “oh just forgive.” But when you have been abused, anger is a necessary path to healing. Then comes forgiveness.
@pawfector9463
@pawfector9463 3 года назад
It's easy to say forgive, but we are commanded by the Lord to forgive. I think the most important thing to do at a point like this is to pray to the Lord and ask Him for help to see the situation as He sees it, and to lead you in the right paths. It's okay to feel angry, but if you're bitter, hateful, unforgiving, etc, that's not an excuse which justified our sinful actions. I'm reminded of today. Two days ago someone said something to me absolutely disgusting and it caused me to be very bitter towards them to where I would say in my mind every time I saw them, "There's the pervert." But upon seeking guidance from a brother in Christ, he suggested I did infact sin and that I should pray to the Lord about what to do. Shortly after my prayer the Lord taught me this lesson: You don't want people to judge you because of your past, so don't judge them for their past action. So I forgave them and gave it to the Lord.

Yes. It is too often that believers think that anger is wrong. God's perfect and gets angry. So it can't possibly be wrong. You should not bury your feelings, but there are situations where you should be angry. There's the right way to process anger and the wrong way. "Be angry and sin not." So it's what you do with it.

ive had a problem with conceptualizing Jesus's anger on many passages of the gospel. i thought it would be fine to be angry at anyone just as i saw it on my leaders. and i was wrong. i shouldnt have responded in a way that is mean rather i should be propelled to love them even more. it is fine to be angry as much as it is motivated by love. in that way, we fulfill James'/God's instruction; be angry and do not sin.

Should boundary-violation by someone who harms you give you anger in a holy (non-sinful) way? Does the bible describe a different kind of anger than we know today? You know how lust is described in the bible as eating another's flesh but yet today people think lust is healthy sexual passion for your spouse? Maybe anger before was a way of describing a deeper more destructive and explosive wretchedness than just the small unsettling feeling we sometimes get when things are wrong? I feel like words are spells and the evil people of this world manipulate the meanings of words, using them as spells, to twist the meaning. So originally lust and anger were way more extreme than what they are used to describe today? This is just my question and opinion not my claim...as of course Jesus' words are way above my own. I just question the interpretation of "what is anger" in modern day, compared to when the bible was written.

Your post is well over a year old now, but I find it still important to reply and hope it blesses you. Anger is a natural response to wrong done to us or others. The second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself, so if you find yourself in a situation where you're angry, pray to the Lord first on how to see things as He sees it. Then respond to the person in a way that you would want them to treat you. We can think of scenarios where it's more extreme, but often times I've discovered that people want to justify their behavior rather than submit to the Lord, for vengeance is His. Here's a story that happened two day ago. I came home and my neighbor made a sexually perverted joke that I found appaling. Today I was still stewing on it, wondering if I had indeed sinned because of my constant thinking of this person as a pervert. So I asked a brother in Christ for his advice and he said pray! So I did. Seconds later the Lord spoke to me, saying, You don't want people to judge you because of your past, so why judge him for his past action? And so I forgave him and have moved on from it and the Lord was glorified by it.

Help me someone please on this... Is it wrong to get angry at your parents whenever their rude, ungrateful, and they ignore you ?
@heresthadude1080
@heresthadude1080 2 года назад
It's not wrong to get angry at sinful treatment, but we must be angry in a way that honors and emulates Christ; God is angry at sin but His mercy is unthinkably boundless. Even now, He allows the wicked to live and profane His name and harm His sheep. By all means (and I know this is a year old so the situation may have changed) get away from their evil influence if they are hurting you, but it is better to pray for them than condemn them; if they repent and believe in Christ and are sealed by the Spirit, their judgment has been taken by Christ and they will willingly reconcile with you; if they do not repent, they will face judgment. I pray that what I said was edifying for you and gracious, and may the Spirit of God guide you in all discernment
