If he were smart he would call it a day after beating Flash -- there's basically no improving upon that. Like leave the casino after you beat the house, duh!
They might be streaming or either way playing against Flash gets views so it's in their interest to play against Flash. I think they are purposely sniping him on the ladder. Plus, it's Flash but not in his peak form.
Flash may not be as 'up' on recent meta strategies and mechanically will never be like he was in his 20s. But wow his game-sense is unreal. A few things made me just say "Wow" like in late game when greater spire came out, he had a wraith IMMEDIATELY. Guardians helped wipe out a group of about 6 marines near zerg base and helped with the push, but Flash had a wraith up before they could even threaten his natural. One wraith negated the investment of a greater spire + 3 guardians. That early game 4-marine moveout was amazing too, set the tone for the whole game. Rallying marines to the side was awesome, but Yoon did see that one single marine move out with his overlord so I do question why he wouldn't make a few more lings considering he knew a marine was crossing the map. If one marine is crossing the map- it's a suicide mission. Flash wouldn't send a suicide mission, he already had an SCV scout active at the time in Yoon's base. IMO there's no other conclusion there but "something's up!" and making some more lings was 100% the right play.
I’ve never seen a Terran player value their units so much. This guy was in the army, think about it, his strategy game is just so clean. Also one of the few players I’ve seen whose skirmishes Arty can never evaluate. He just does more with less, Flash’s marines are SCARY yo
Yeah these ladder matches are fun, Artosis. Still a good time even if it's not a tournament or anything. I'm just here to enjoy the cool play and commentary.
Hey Artosis, great videos! I'd really like tho if you did a little post-game breakdown instead of ending right after the GG - an overview analysis of how the game went and key moments might be really cool to round off casts like this. Tasteless does a pretty good post-game roundup for his casts if you want to see what I mean.
Love to see matches with the "Living Legends" - Flash, Jaedong, Bisu. Keep those coming! To your point about hotkeys - it would also be nice to have a video on one of your channels covering various hotkey setups and their pros/cons. Thanks as always for the videos!
yoon's strat was so sick and so aggressive. I love seeing these radical playstyles. He needed to do more damage with the mutalisks but Flash's defense was so strong
The guardian idea was kind of interesting, though. Don't see many Zerg utilize a few of them as a support damage. Would be ideal for picking off tanks and helps lurkers get into position.
I really love the ladder games! it would be cool if you did more recasts of classic games like fantasy vs Woongjin where he did the first ever mech switch tvz or yeah other classic games that arent even that important historically but show off the weird style of kespa era bw
would be nice to see a series how flash's (and other "old" players) style has changed/defined over the years, not sure what would be the best format (casting old->new games or just doing highlights of certain games over the years?). Anyhow great content, made me love brood wars eventho i never played/will play it, thanks!
Personally I don't really like watching ladder matches for pros much but for players the calibre of Flash when they have just come back from military and there's no matches of theirs out there that's great to watch. As for recommendations I did happen to see Last is back from the military.
You'll probably get tons of views with Bisu, Stork and Jaedong which will then help to grow the scene which will then create more good starcraft players etc etc so you should probably do that but I'd PERSONALLY rather watch tournaments or classic matches from the Kespa era. I never watched the Kespa era so I have no specific attachment to the all-time greats (I have a little attachment to JD and Bisu but I view Stork the way most people view Guemchi).
If there's one thing I could ask please don't give me too many Bisu or stork PvT games. PvT is my favourite matchup but Watching Bisu PvT just makes me sad because I could be watching Bisu PvZ or PvP and as for Stork I can only watch so many carrier rushes in a row.
@@grimriver5869 lurker under dark swarm doesnt just beat marines, it beats everything. you literally only have vessels and firebats to kill lurkers at that point.
Could you pad the endings of your videos with a random amount of the same video but rewound, to work as an anti-spoiler? I see the video length and it makes it easier to tell who will win.
Tournaments are great. Bo3 or Bo5 showmatches are probably my favourite style though. Also during tournaments it would be cool to have a quick shot of the bracket before or after the match. So anyone who only watches youtube has a better idea of the standings. Love what you do. BW4life.
I have been searching for a long time for someone to cast the holy war between Nal_rA and saviOr on peaks of beakdu. if anyone knows where there is a fun english cast or someone willing to do this epic battle, I would love to watch it for an hour.
What about some absolutely classic/monumental starcraft matches as a subseries? Try and explore some of starcraft's rich history, see how the meta changed. I don't know where you'd get the replays necessarily, but if you somehow could, it'd be pretty awesome.
Could he have used the Eraser on the guardians? With purely ling/lurker/guardian, a science vessel could have rubbed its irradiated body all over the guardians, yeah? (wraith works too, but that came a bit later)
a bit late , but i tend to like casts between mid pros or non korean pros (if you wanna use that terminology) as i feel like the chances for something crazy to happen are much higher outside of korea ... with the korean scene, they make so few mistakes that you can kinda tell who will win as the game goes pass the minute 6 or 7 (unless you are looking at a ZvZ) like with mid props/non korean you get to see ... corsair webs, mech vs zerg with no transition, crazy vulture all in that actually win games... heck , there was even a scout made in one non-korean game that was made nonirronic and actually turned the game around that said i also like games on non-ladder maps that are a bit awkward and require unorthox strategies or builds ... seeying the same strategies on the ladder maps that we all played a million times gets boring ... also ... seeing games on generic maps tends to be somewhat stalle as well, as the same concept basically continues to apply and the map is more often than not a basic map where the starting bases are a bit rotated, or where terran need to make turrets like one depo more to the south than normal ... which is not really that exiting TL;DR non korean players playing on very awkward and unorthodox maps , i love those scenarios
good to mix it up arty in my opinion it could be a great idea to have a pro ladder game and maybe some ameture games alternate it mayb? anyway love it man ! been watching since GOMTV
That was wild. After the initial move out by flash where he lost all his marines I though Yoon would just slowly win via choking out his Econ. But man he is scrappy.
