Kind of like thinking if you have a colt that you plan to use for trail riding/competition...but only raise it in a stall and indoor arena....and expecting it to never spook and react to foreign (to them) objects, sounds and smells. They need exposure to anything and everything as much as possible and as often as possible
I’ll be watching for that video. I follow trainers for awhile, and then, Omigosh. I have an excellent trainer in person, I watch each of these videos of yours as well as Michael Ellis. Thank you. I need to “socialize” my adult mostly Doberman just for his confidence.
8:38 I just adopted a 9 month old golden retriever who was kept in a crate for 7 months. He’s skittish but is a little better day by day. Socialization is extremely important.
I love you guys. You have been my go to for many years. I appreciate that you are getting on RU-vid more often now. Time to properly educate people from your experiences, hoping that they will understand and listen. No quick fixes, just do it the right way from the start. ❤🐾🐾
I appreciate your videos. I am interested to see a video on what you think about RU-vid trainers so Please do one. There are a few really good trainers that I watch but I think I know some of the Click Bait ones you might be talking about. 😁
Ill do a video on this. I cover this in detail in a number of training videos I sell on ou web site lerburg.com - in fact I am just producing a new video titled Training the family dog to COME. and just filmed the high value food section yesterday. The short version is your dogs favorite food treat in the world - NOT KIBBEL This often varis from dog to dog.
