Enjoyable tour Jack, thanks. I’d like a 28-30’ Scandinavian boat as my next one, but for me the Aquador 28c is the better option. Older, cheaper and with doors to shut out the weather and noise!

As others have said its more in direct competition worth the marex 310 and the marex just edges it for me. Another very enjoyable review. Keep them coming Jack. Thanks.

This boat is perhaps best compared with the Marex 310, in terms of size and price. Difficult to make a choice.

I think the more appropriate comparison would be to the Marex 310, not the 330. The Marex 330 has far more going for it. For me it doesn’t look like a very engaging instrument panel.
@BilldalSWE
@BilldalSWE 3 месяца назад
The 310 definitely a better comparison in therms of space (small mid cabin, wet head only etc) and price as the 330 is both larger and A LOT more expensive. I don't agree with a digital instrument panel not being engaging though. 3x 100% customizable screens will pretty much give you all the info you want just as you want it at all times. Plus the seating position with throttle and steering wheel looks very ergonomic. I have a Marex 320 ACC which has the same helm as the 330 and pretty much the only complaint I have with the boat is not enough screen real estate meaning you constantly have to switch modes and zoom in/out on the single 12" plotter. That and the lack of a side door which the 330 has. Now if I could only get a 320/330 with the same styling / design language as the Aquador It would be the perfect boat for me... Hopefully the Marex 440's more modern design will trickle down to the next line of smaller models.

Hey Jack, great review and a cool boat too. But I prefer the Marex 330.

Marex got that idea for the hidden curtains from Linssen, Jack. This is nice, but those very narrow side decks kill it for an old fart like me. :)
@EJA-ym1rm
@EJA-ym1rm 7 месяцев назад
Wider side decks, skyhook, starboard helm door access are just a few things that put the Marex over this one. In my view the Marex takes every category except price.

Beautiful Boat, a Pocket Yacht? 3:03 Clever and useful salon table. 4:15 Diamond tuck in tan would be much nicer to my taste, but the dark walnut (?) woodwork 3:47 is class. Appears to continually list to the right while in straight headings. (one rider slightly left center, one full left and two on the right). 10:50 Nice looking helm layout. Really cool overall.

Hi there. That’s a lovely lovely boat. I’m a fan of the Scandinavian boats. I myself have a grandezza27oc which my wife and I have extensively modified. However for me I would buy the Marex. They are my favourite boat for long term cruising and day boating. My dream would be the flagship with a small washing machine for the wife. lol. Great stuff.

For what I would like a boat for this falls into the 'perfect' category, explore down around the Cornish coast or up around slapton, Dartmouth and Poole or pop over to France etc and 8:15, wow what a great shot, almost like looking at an RC boat video. 👏👏👏❤️🇬🇧

Closer to the 310 than the 330. Only two drawbacks are the shared ‘communal’ space when getting dressed, and the step up to the table in the cockpit. Marex wins for me but I’m biased 😁

I think the genius manual canvas sunroof...S are much better on the Marex. Being able to open the front and rear in seconds beats the hardtop sunroof in my book - but otherwise very similar Both lovely boats tho

Marex 330 has sliding doors near the drivers seat for the exit. If I'm not mistaken. So Marex seems to be better. But this one is cheaper and also great.

If I was using it on the Med, I'd go for the Marex. For those of us who have to endure more Northerly climes, the Aquador might be better thanks to the solid roof arrangement. The noise of rain on the canvas top of the Marex would irritate me.

I prefer the reviews of smaller boats like this one, 25-40 feet. Mainly because it's more in my price range than for example a 50 metre ship is.

Jusst needs the fold down bulwarks and the exceptional galley space amd then it could rival the Marex Gastronomic even. Well, kind of. But in all seriousness, just based on your handling notes, I woukd say the Marex is the winner. However the 2 features I like on this is that the pull out plastic curtains are on the inside of the boat. Much eaiser to handle if things are going bad, like it's cold amd your fingers aren't working too well and it statrts to rain on top of it. The other thing is the split roof. If you have someone who maybe got too much sun, or they don't want the wind knotting their hair, you can close half the opening sunroof. Excellent if you have small kids too. While I do think highly of both, this seems to have just a few more boxes ticked, but the Marex can be closed off. This has induction cooking so then I assume that the generator or inverter is standard? This seems to habe nicer interior. I just wish this had the ability to close the cabin off, all in all though, I would choose this since I live in Florida so winter isn't really a thing here that much.
