Maddison is not overrated. His touches and close control are close to Spanish standard. He is quite silky and tekky on the ball. Capable to do skill moves and play through passes. The only downside is that he doesn’t have experience playing in a modern positional play system with complex tactics, and he doesn’t have experience playing tiki taka football like Palmer or Foden. Palmer and Foden are so Spanish on the ball. Skills, flair, technicality and tactical intelligence all combined in a player.

He was unreal before he was injured then suffered a 3 month injury and hasn’t quite returned to form. But this has coincided with Spurs losing form. This is unreal bias and delusion from Rory. Not that we expect anything less
