The name Michael means "Who is like God ?", and is called the archangel, that means "chief angel" (Greek archaggelos) and is the only one with this designation, being found at Jude 9 and is the one seen at 1 Thessalonians 4:15, 16, whereby the apostle Paul wrote: "For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV) word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first." So, who is Michael the archangel ? Jesus Christ, and in which he is Jehovah's "personal messenger" at Isaiah 63:9, that says: "During all their (the nation of fleshly Israel) distress it was distressing to him. And his own personal messenger ("angel of his presence", KJV) saved them. In his love and compassion he repurchased them, and he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old." At Isaiah 63:11-13, it says: "And they (the nation of fleshly Israel) remembered the days of old, the days of Moses his servant: “Where is the One who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock ? Where is the One who put within him (Moses) His holy spirit," "the One who made His glorious arm (or "the arm of Jehovah", Isa 53:1, 2, Jesus Christ, John 12:38) go with the right hand of Moses, the One who split the waters before them to make an everlasting name for himself, the One who made them walk through the surging waters, so that they walked without stumbling, like a horse in the open country ?" At Exodus 3:1-3, it says: "Moses became a shepherd of the flock of his father-in-law Jethʹro, the priest of Midʹi·an. While he was leading the flock to the west side of the wilderness, he eventually came to the mountain of the true God, to Horʹeb." "Then Jehovah’s ANGEL appeared to him in a flame of fire in the midst of a thornbush. As he kept looking, he saw that the thornbush was on fire, and yet the thornbush was not consumed. So Moses said: “I will go over to inspect this unusual sight to see why the thornbush does not burn up.” Exodus 3:4, 5 now says: "When JEHOVAH (with the angel now speaking as if he is God, so that he is Jehovah's "chief angel" or archangel, "the Word" at John 1:1, Jehovah's chief spokesman) saw that he went over to look, God called to him out of the thornbush and said: “Moses ! Moses !” to which he said: “Here I am.” Then he said: “Do not come any nearer. Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you are standing is holy ground.” At 1 Corinthians 10, the apostle Paul wrote: "Now I want you to know, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea and all got baptized into Moses by means of the cloud and of the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they used to drink from the spiritual rock that followed them (or guided the nation of Israel for the 40 year wilderness trek) , and that rock meant the CHRIST."(1 Cor 10:1-4) So, who is Michael the archangel ? Jesus Christ in heaven.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Jude 9. Satan contended earnestly for the body of Moses. Again he sought to enter into controversy with Christ in regard to the injustice of God's law, and with deceiving power reiterated his false statements about not being fairly treated. His accusations were such that Christ did not bring against him the record of the cruel work he had done in heaven by deceptive misrepresentation, the falsehoods he had told in Eden that led to Adam's transgression, and the stirring up of the worst passions of the hosts of Israel to incite them to murmur and rebel until Moses lost command of himself.... Christ did not retaliate in answer to Satan. He brought no railing accusation against him, but raised Moses from the dead and took him to heaven. Here for the first time the power of Christ was exercised to break the power of Satan and give life to the dead. Here began His work of making alive that which was dead. Thus He testified that He was indeed the Resurrection and the Life, that He had power to ransom those whom Satan had made his captives, that although people die they will live again. The question had been asked, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). The question was now answered. This act was a great victory over the powers of darkness. This display of power was an incontrovertible testimony to the supremacy of the Son of God. Satan had not expected that the body would be raised to life after death. He had concluded that the sentence “Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” gave him undisputed possession of the bodies of the dead. Now he saw that he would be despoiled of his prey, that mortals would live again after death. After Moses was raised to life, the heavenly gates of Paradise were opened, and Jesus passed in with His captive. No longer was Moses the captive of Satan. In consequence of his sin Moses merited the penalty of transgression and became subject to death. When he was raised to life he held his title in another name-the name of Jesus his Head. The day of exile is nearly ended. The time is at hand when all who are sleeping in their graves will hear His voice and come forth, some to everlasting life, and some to final destruction. Christ will raise all His saints, glorify them with an immortal body, and open to them the gates of the city of God. Christ resurrected Moses, and took him to heaven. This enraged Satan, and he accused the Son of God of invading his dominion by robbing the grave of his lawful prey. Jude says of the resurrection of Moses, “Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” There is danger of indulging a controversial spirit. But those who really love the truth, who have received it into the heart as a living principle, will have the greatest desire to reveal in words and actions the sanctifying power of truth upon the life. They will be representatives of the truth, showing its transforming power upon their own character. When opposed, they will not retaliate. Children and youth cannot, unless they are under the direct influence of the Spirit of God, correctly represent the sanctifying power of truth upon mind and character. And there are many grown-up persons who need to enter the school of Christ and learn his meekness and lowliness of heart, else they will venture to do that which Michael the Archangel dared not do. The railing accusations will be at their tongue's end. There are many fathers and mothers who would today engage in the work of God if encouraged, but who, in their own home life, prove themselves unfit to handle sacred responsibilities. They are only grown-up children. There are very few parents who represent the character of Jesus in the home.

Not once did Enoch mention Jesus but Michael is named.
