Mourinho is not happy with his team and the fact that he does not have all the new players he wants and can't get the ones he already has cos of the world cup for a full pre season bothers him. Mourinho is very detailed in his preparations and he knows that without proper preparations, he can't guarantee a winning season hence his silence.

Let's be honest, the majority of the Utd players have regressed under Mourinho (with the exception of Lingard). Rashford, Martial, Herrera, Bailey, even Pogba and Sanchez to some extent have gotten worse. Why is he blaming the players? Look at man utd squad. Lukaku is a top 5 striker in prem, Sanchez is a world class winger with tons of experience, pogba is one of the most talented midfielders in the world, and on the bench you have attacking talents like martial and rashford. Jose Mourinho was an option which provide board's inability to sign Pep or Klopp. It's painful to see how bad this United team is and how outdated is the manager in terms of play and management. One of manager's duty is to align good players each other in order to play and Jose has already shown his incapability in terms of Martial, Rashford , Lukaku, Sanchez, Bailly. Those key players didn't perform at all and it's his failure to combine them. The club is going backwards even in transfer market when it's obvious that you need players but you can't finish the job. Painful to watch.
